Gliding is an aerial action that the player can perform in Wuthering Waves. Find out how to glide, gliding interactions, and mid-air attacks while gliding in this guide!
List of Contents
Use the Glider by pressing the Jump button in Mid-Air. Gliding consumes Stamina, and the Glider will automatically close when the stamina bar is fully depleted.
If this happens when the player is at high elevation, they are likely to take fall damage when they land. Keep an eye on the stamina bar to avoid this!

Gliding into a Propulsion Flux column will cause the player to ascend to a certain height, until they leave the column.
Passing through a Gravitation Vortex Ring while gliding will cause the player to fly in the direction the ring is facing.
While gliding, players can use the Grappling Hook to pull themselves to a Grapple Point. The hook will automatically equip and glow if there is a viable target near the gliding player.

Characters in the middle of Gliding can perform their Mid-Air attack if the player inputs an Attack. The glider will close when the Attack Button is pressed.
This attack consumes Stamina, and locks Resonators into that attack, causing them to fall until it is completed.
Players can use their Mid-Air Attack before they run out of stamina to prevent fall damage from gliding at a high elevation, as no fall damage is taken from this attack.

Characters that use Pistols have different Mid-Air attacks that consume Stamina to shoot one bullet. They will slow their fall briefly when shooting, then go back to accelerating after.
This attack can be repeated for as long as the player has stamina, and will keep slowing the fall briefly for every bullet fired.
To prevent fall damage using Mid-Air Pistol Attacks, the player needs to wait until they are close to the ground, then Attack before landing. The decrease in downward momentum will prevent the fall damage.
Characters like Verina have a unique string of Mid-Air Attacks. These will be performed in place of the regular plunge attack when an Attack is used Mid-Air.
To execute the plunging attack that prevents fall damage, players need to press and hold the Attack button when using these characters.
