Wuthering Waves is free-to-play with optional in-game purchases that can help strengthen player accounts faster. Read on to learn what makes Wuthering Waves friendly for free-to-play (F2P) players!
List of Contents
The game can be considered very friendly for free-to-play players, due to various ways that the game helps and rewards the players.
Part of its friendliness can come from the gameplay of Wuthering Waves being very skill-oriented with the parry and dodge systems in place, as well as numerous free Resonators being given to players based on their game progress.
Players do not have to pull repeatedly in the banners just to get new characters. Simply progressing through the game and reaching certain milestones will allow the player to obtain certain Resonators for free as a reward!
Because of how the combat system works in Wuthering Waves, most battles are more than just a simple stat check. Dodging and parrying attacks, as well as rotating the team with Intro and Outro Skills as a Resonator switches, is equally as important.
As the game gifts multiple Resonators as the player progresses through the game, there is more than enough leeway to be able to do a variety of team compositions that can clear any kind of battle.
In fact, if the player is skilled enough with Wuthering Waves' combat mechanics, they can clear even the hardest difficulty with the free characters given; provided they are adequately equipped and leveled.
Kuro Games is known as one of the more generous developers out there, with their reputation from Punishing: Gray Raven preceding them.
In fact, as part of their compensation for not meeting expectations during launch, the developers have given 10 Lustrous Tides, 10 Radiant Tides, and even a free 5-star Resonator Selector!
Which Company Made Wuthering Waves?
The Battle Pass equivalent in Wuthering Waves is called Pioneer Podcast, and it goes all the way up to Level 70. These can be filled up through fulfilling Daily Tasks, Weekly Tasks, and Period Tasks.
Lunite Subscription is Wuthering Waves' equivalent to Genshin Impact's Blessings of the Moon Welkin, and Honkai Star Rail's Nameless Honor.
It rewards the player with a set amount of Astrite up front, and then will reward the player with another small set amount of Astrite every day the first time players log in to the game for 30 days.
Losing the 50/50 chance in pulling the rate-up Resonators would mean the next 5-star they pull is guaranteed to be the the featured character.
This can easily tempt players to spend money and even break their F2P status by trying to get enough Astrite and get the guaranteed Resonator.
