Zhezhi	Dreamless

To maximize damage from concerto characters and echoes, we'd want to run Zhezhi with Dreamless. Zhezhi charges Concerto Energy extremely fast, so she plays really well with the automatic Intro Skill casting mechanic of Dreamless.

Character Upgrades

You will always have 1 Character Upgrade every run, and you can get more through Memory of Training.

Always choose Hook as Zhezhi's first upgrade to maximize damage done by Zhezhi's main damage dealing ability, Creation's Zenith.

We suggest going inside Memory of Training doors to get atleast two more upgrades, but if you get all four your Zhezhi is pretty much unstoppable. Boneless and Outlining are the two next best while Splashing could be optional.

Concerto Characters

Character	Explanation
Sanhua	Sanhua will be your main damage dealer whenever your Outro Skill auto-activates due to the effects of Dreamless. She will deal insane damage, so make sure you get her when available.
Verina	Verina can keep you alive during mob and boss fights. With how Zhezhi accumulate Concerto Energy really fast, it is guaranteed that she will be topped up all the time.
Baizhi	Optional: If you cannot roll for a Verina, you can opt to just get a Baizhi. She can also heal similar to Verina.

Regular Metaphors

Metaphor	Explanation
Any Aero Metaphors	Aero Metaphors are one of the metaphor sets that you need to maximize the Dreamless' upgrades. Also, these metaphors focus on increasing the DMG of Intro Skills (concerto characters) and Echo.
Any Electro Metaphors	The other required metaphor set for Dreamless is the Electro metaphor set. This will increase both Resonance Skill and Liberation DMG which Zhezhi will appreciate in this game mode.
Wonderland Phantasm	Wonderland Phantasm restores 100 Concerto Energy for every dodge every 6s. It is important to get this whatever happens - either from the Metaphor Cat or the Vendor as you will be able to charge your Concerto Energy faster and therefore proc more Intro Skills.

Break Shining Pool Floaters

In the new stage maps introduced in Version 1.2, there are shining pool floaters that looks suspiciously different than the other items in the stage. When you see one, always break these shiny floaters because they would reward you with Dream Fragments!

Use Zhezhi's Liberation Before Skill

To maximize the damage dealt by Inkling Spirits, we suggest using Zhezhi's Liberation first when it is available before her Resonance Skill. This is so you could generate Inkling Spirits that Zhezhi can then summon all at once when she gets the Splashing character upgrade.

Also, Zhezhi will not be switching out in this game mode so having your coordinated attacks on 100% uptime would be the best way to maximize Zhezhi's damage.

Experiment With Your Own Playstyle

This is just a general guide that can help most players beat Difficulty 2 of the Depths of Illusive Realm. Since this is a rogue-lite game mode, there may be other builds that are stronger or better suited to your playstyle.

Best Echoes to Use for Depths of Illusive Realm 2

Best Echo for the Recommended Character

Characters	Recommended Echo
Zhezhi	Dreamless ・Can quickly charge Concerto Energy, so Zhezhi can take advantage of the automatic usage of Intro Skills. ・Make sure to get a DPS and Support as your concerto character for a more balanced gameplay.

Best Echoes for Trial Characters

Characters	Recommended Echo
Yuanwu	Dreamless ・The Dreamless is just too good in this round of Depth of Illusive Realm. Always use Dreamless when you can and collect as much Concerto Energy as possible.
Danjin	Dreamless ・If you want to run Danjin with a fully offensive set-up and you don't mind managing her HP, we suggest going with the Dreamless.
	Bell-Borne Geochelone ・If you're having trouble managing Danjin's HP drain mechanic, a safer bet would be the Bell-Borne Geochelone.

If the recommended Echoes above did not show up in your run, simply quit the challenge and start another run of Difficulty 2. Repeat this proccess until the suggested Echo appears.

Yuanwu	Danjin	Zhezhi

Yuanwu, Danjin, and Zhezhi are the Trial Characters you can use for the Depths of Illusive Realm Difficulty 2. In Phase 2 of Version 1.2, Xiangli Yao will join as a Trial resonator.

If you have these characters and their level is higher than Level 70, and have upgraded skills, and weapons, we recommend using them instead of the Trial versions.
