How to Beat the Extension Corps

The Extension Corps can be encountered and fought all at once at Fortress Zokket. You must defeat Ecks, Ten, and Shun in order to progress and fight the final boss of the fortress, Zokket.

Use Kaboom Attack Battle Plug Combos

Recommended Battle Plugs

Anti-Zokket Specialist	Dizzifying Attack
Fiery Attack	Icy Attack

Since you will be fighting all three members of the Extension Corps at the same time, it would be best to use the Kaboom Battle Plug in order to damage everyone. Combine it with plugs such as Surprise Iron Ball, Anti-Zokket Specialist, and the different status attack plugs for more damage.

Make sure to target the middle member, Ten, whenevery you do a Jump or Hammer attack in order for the Kaboom plug to affect all three of them.

Best Battle Plug Combos

Use Multi-Target Bros. Attacks

Bros. Attacks that can hit multiple targets such as the Bomb Derby attack are best to use in this battle. However, take note that this will not activate your Kaboom and other offensive Battle Plugs.

You may want to use only Mario’s multi-target Bros. Attacks, and let Luigi use his regular Jump or Hammer attack.

Unequip the Auto Mushroom Battle Plug

Auto Mushroom	When your HP becomes low, will automatically use a Mushroom.

At some point during the battle, Shun will equip their side with a PunishMush Battle Plug, which will cause damage to either Mario or Luigi if they eat a Mushroom.

Make sure not to eat any Mushrooms and unplug your Auto Mushroom Battle Plug in case you have it active. If you need to heal, use Nuts instead.

How to Heal and Restore Health

Equip the Protectus Battle Plug Once They’re Invincible

Battle Plug	Effect
Protectus	Reduces the damage you suffer from enemies to 0.
Charge Bank	When another equipped plug would lose charges, this plug's charges decreases instead.

Near the end of the battle, the Extension Corps will activate the Invincible Battle Plug. This will make them invincible but will also make them explode in a few turns.

You will want to make sure that your Protectus plug will be active by the end of this phase, which is about five turns long, in order to protect Mario and Luigi from the final explosion. Make this plug last longer in case you get hit by their attacks before the explosion by also equipping the Charge Bank plug.

No Need to Hit Your Attacks

In this last phase of the battle, all you need to do is dodge or counter their attacks. Your attacks won’t do anything once they’re invincible, so it’s okay if you miss them.
