Unlocked After Completing Great Lighthouse Island (Color-Full Sea)

After you complete Great Lighthouse Island (Color-Full Sea), you will be able to find this side quest on Shipshape Island. Fish for the Note in the Bottle from the Fishing Spot in order to start The Left-Behind Toad.

If this side quest doesn’t appear for you after you return to Shipshape Island from Great Lighthouse Island (Color-Full Sea), you may need to progress the story a little bit.

Story Walkthrough

Fish for the Letter

The quest officially starts after finding a letter in a bottle, while fishing on Shipshape Island. The quest log suggests changing bait or Bros. if you can’t get this quest bottle, but it did work for us having Luigi fish with a Handcrafted Bait.

Find Inphant Islet Reach Toad Via the Pipe Labyrinth Return to Shipshape Island

Find Inphant Islet

To begin this quest, you must first find Inphant Islet, located in the Brrrning Sea.

You’ll come across it as you progress with your ship through the overworld.

Reach Toad Via the Pipe Labyrinth

#	Step by Step Guide
1	Travel Through the First Pipe Upon arriving to Inphant Island, travel through the first pipe on your left, below the lone pipe.
2	Go to the Leftmost Pipe From here, you will be in an enclosed space with two other pipes, take the one fartherst to the left.
3	Reach Toad From the Last Pipe Finally, take the pipe above and you will reach Toad.

Return to Shipshape Island

Talk to Toad and he will ask you to return together back to Shipshape Island. Hit the nearby Pipe Block above to spawn a new pipe that will lead you back to the entrance of the islet.

The quest will be complete after returning to Shipshape Island.

The Left-Behind Toad Rewards

1-Up DX and Candy

Reward	Description
1-Up DX x2	Revives a downed brother with 100% HP.
Candy x2	Restores HP and BP by 30%.

Upon completing this side quest, you will receive two 1-Up DX and two Candies from Toad.
