Allsand Island

After you complete Allsand Island, you will be able to find this side quest on Twistee Island. Talk to Emmit at the Plaza in order to start Stepped into a Slump.

If this side quest doesn’t appear for you after you return to Shipshape Island from Allsand Island, you may need to progress the story a little bit.

Talk to Emmit at Twistee Island

Talk to Emmit at Twistee Island

Hop onto Twistee Island and speak with Emmit at the dance plaza. He will confide in the brothers about his lack of groovy moves and the prospect for a new pair of boots.

Craft Groove Boots

Mario & Luigi Brothership Craft Groove Boots

Return to Shipshape Island and speak to either Billdit or Maykit on the island's Gear Shop and select the Hear Request option. Hand over 1 Twistee Leaf and 1 Rumbla Stone as asked, and have the Groove Boots crafted. Doing this will also unlock the crafting Side Quest Craft Some Groove Boots.

Return to Emmit

Mario & Luigi Brothership Return to Emmit

With the Groove Boots acquired, return to Emmit and hand over the new groovy pair to help him regain his cool dance moves.

After completing Stepped Into a Slump, Emmit will reward you with 1 Elite Boots.
