There are many ways to farm coins in Mario & Luigi: Brothership, but the best way to do it is by using the Coinpiler Plug. This coin farming guide includes all the best methods to farm coins and complete Coin Challenges fast!
List of Contents
The best way to farm coins is equipping the Coinpiler Plug and hitting enemies as hard as you can. The Coinpiler Plug makes enemies drop coins with an amount proportional to damage dealt, which means the more powerful your attack is, the more coins you will get.
You can unlock the Coinpiler Plug after crafting a total of 8 Battle Plugs. Craft the Coinpiler Plug itself using 40 Sprite Bulbs, equip it, and head out to mug enemies!
Something you should always do is harvest every Plug Radish that you come across. You'll find a lot of patches of Plug Radishes while exploring and these will be valuable sources of coins, especially in the early game.
Another quick way to farm coins is selling the items you don't need to shops! You can sell obsolete gear pieces and excess items that you've likely obtained from enemy drops to buy things that you do need.
Playing minigames and reaching certain milestones also rewards coins. However, most minigames are not repeatable and only have one set of rewards, which makes them less reliable for farming coins than the other methods.
No. | Challenge | Guide | Rewards |
---|---|---|---|
22 | Coin Enthusiast | Receive a total of 5,000 coins in battle. | ・Stache Bean x1 ・Super Syrup Jar x1 |
23 | Coin Collector | Receive a total of 15,000 coins in battle. | ・Stache Bean x3 ・Heart Bean x2 ・Ultra Candy x1 |
24 | Coin King | Receive a total of 50,000 coins in battle. | ・Golden STACHE Gloves x1 ・Speed Bean DX x1 ・Defense Bean x1 |
Earning a total of 5000, 15000, and 50000 coins in battle completes the Coin Enthusiast, Coin Collector, and Coin King challenges, respectively.
Note that only coins obtained in battle will be counted. Coins earned from other sources like Question Blocks, Plug Radishes, minigames, and sold items won't count towards this challenge.
