Capnap Dodge and Counter Tips

Strategy Against Capnap

Capnap's dash attacks can be tricky, as it often falls asleep mid-dash and may even get pushed back by its own snores. Watch closely and time your jumps carefully.

Attack Pattern 1

Capnap will dash towards you but falls asleep midway, it will wake up to continue dashing.
How to Dodge Time your jump after Capnap wakes up from its sleep during the attack.
How to Counter Stomp on Capnap's head after a successful dodge.

Attack Pattern 2

Capnap Dozes off right away and proceeds to dash towards you while asleep.
How to Dodge Use your hammer to snap it out of sleep before the attack hits you.
How to Counter Use your hammer to hit Capnap as it awakens and lunges forward.

Attack Pattern 3

Capnap runs to the area above Mario and performs a dash attack downward. This can hit Mario and Luigi.
