Survive Against Deviants and Players

Once Human - PvP Server Description

In a PvP server, players will have to contend with not just Deviants, but also with other players for territory, resources, loot, and glory.

There will be constant combat against other players, but you can also join up together with them to form Warbands to carve your way in the PvP world as a group.

Constantly Active Chaos State

Once Human - Novice Protection Period

In Once Human, the Chaos State is a state that players can enter to engage in PvP combat. Players in a Chaos State will take damage from other Chaos State players, but those not in the Chaos State are invulnerable to PvP damage.

In a PvE server, Chaos State only activates when pressing P or entering special PvP Events, but in a PvP server, it will always be active after reaching Level 10.

Mechanics Change Across Seasons

Once Human - Evolution

The PvP mechanic of fighting other players will remain the same across seasons, but new seaons can add different mechanics that players will have to adapt to in order to survive.

The current PvP Scenario is Evolution's Call, and has been announced to last six weeks. It is likely that a new PvP scenario will be added to the game after Evolution's Call ends.

Echo Stones in PvP

Different Ways to Earn Starchrom

Once Human - Territory Purification

Unlike in PvE servers, PvP servers have Echo Stone events that will begin to trigger when the phase enters the Rising Rivalry state. These events will cause Chaotic Cortex items to spawn in areas marked on the map.

Picking up these Chaotic Cortices instantly activates the Chaos State, meaning that players can be targeted by those seeking to loot the Cortex for themselves.

How to Get and Use Starchrom

Territory Can Enter a Chaotic State

Once Human - Territory Chaotic State

Echo Stones and Chaotic Cortices can be turned into Starchrom in a player's base using a Stardust Resonant Filter. However, in a PvP Server, purifying a Chaotic Cortex causes a player's Territory to enter a Chaotic State.

Other players will be able to attack the Territory alongside spawning Deviants, destroying buildings in order to claim the purification rewards for themselves.

Should You Play PvP?

Option For Competitive Players

A PvP server provides players with more opportunities to test their mettle and skills against other players. The atmosphere is more tense and chaotic than a PvE server, where enemies are just AI-controlled Deviants.

For players looking for more challenges and thrills, a PvP server might be more fitting to experience more action-packed fights.
