The Mysterious Lady

Hanyuuda Chizuru is first encountered in Chinju Forest as the Mysterious Lady during the Test of Courage quest. She was seen murmuring to herself by a frightened Paimon.

Ghostly Warning

She turns around and warns the Traveler to leave immediately or their souls will be trapped there forever then proceeds to surround herself with blue flames and black mist before the Traveler and Paimon passes out.

Challenged to a Game of Akitsu Yuugei

The Traveler saw her again on the beach where the Akitsu Yuugei was held. Paimon challenged her to a friendly match where the loser will have to grant the winner's wish.

Hanyuuda Chizuru quickly finishes the game and won. Irritated, she wished to not meet the Traveler again before vanishing.

The Hagoita Spirit

Hanyuuda Chizuru revealed that she was the Hagoita that Lord Kamai and the samurai used to play Akitsu Hazura hundreds of years ago.

She meant no harm and simply wants the little youkai to not get hurt as humans are different from youkai. A friendship between two different beings would only cause regret in the end.

The Mikawa Flower Festival

After checking the Mikawa Festival, Hanyuuda Chizuru asked the Traveler to talk with her alone at the beach. She realized that there's nothing wrong with humans and youkai getting along then thanked the Traveler for playing Akitsu Yuugei with her.

Hanyuuda Chizuru's Wish

Since the traveler didn't grant her previous wish, Hanyuuda Chizuru asked for a new one. She originally wished for the Traveler to remember her but then changed it. Hoping that the traveler will be filled with joy every day before completely disappearing.
