Protects itself with a cubical shell that is elementally inert. Attacks are only effective when its elemental core is exposed. When HP is low, it splits into three crystalline "water droplets"that will move towards its core. Destroy these water droplets in time to prevent the revival of the Hydro Hypostasis.

Hydro Hypostasis in Hypostatic Symphony 3.2

The Hydro Hypostasis is a featured boss in the Hypostatic Symphony: Dissonant Verse event.

The Hydro Hypostasis' attacks in the challenge are upgraded and the Water Droplets can increase its RES. Use Pyro or Electro when the core is exposed and use Cryo or Dendro to quickly destroy the Water Droplets when they appear.

Zhongli	・Can decrease damage taken with shields. ・Jade Shield's debuff on enemies close by will increase damage output.
Yoimiya	・Can deal damage from a distance. ・Deals tons of damage with her Elemental Burst.
Fischl	・Can deal damage from a distance. ・Provides additional damage with her Elemental Skill.

Bring a Ranged Character

The Hydro Hypostasis' weakness is its core. We recommend bringing Ranged characters as your main DPS to deal damage as soon as its core is vulnerable.

How to Beat the Hydro Hypostasis

Attack it during its resting state

Similar to other Hypostasis bosses, the Hydro Hypostasis has a resting state, during which its core is vulnerable to attacks. Deal the most damage to the Hydro Hypostasis while in this state.

Destroy the water droplets

Use Cryo to destroy the water droplets

Once the Hydro Hypostasis reaches low HP, it will release water droplets that resemble hydro slimes in order to regenerate HP. Destroy all three water droplets to prevent the Hydro Hypostasis from regenerating!

Using Cryo attacks from Cryo Characters is the fastest way to destroy these water droplets.

Hydro Hypostasis Attack Patterns

Bubble Explosion

The Hydro Hypostasis gathers water around its body, forms a giant bubble, then unleashes a Hydro explosion. After the attack, it splits out into several cubes.

Dolphin Splash

The Hydro Hypostasis summons Dolphins in a circle around it, which constantly leap up into the air then back into the ground.

The Hydro Hypostasis summons three Dolphins that leap up into the air then crash into the ground. Hydro DMG will likely be dealt to the landing's AoE.

Tail Flap

Tail Flap Phases

The Hydro Hypostasis forms into tail fins, then smacks the ground. This sends water explosions out in a straight line.

Block Dive

Block Dive Phases

The Hydro Hypostasis summons Hydro blocks that dive into the ground, hitting a small AoE with a wave-like attack.

Rushing Waves

Rushing Waves Phases

The Hydro Hypostasis surrounds itself with rolling Hydro cubes, then unleashes a wave of Hydro in the area arround it.

Rain Shower

The Hydro Hypostasis will twist around like a tornado and summon three showers of Hydro that follow the player.

Objective: Stop the Hydro Hypostasis from reviving itself without destroying any of the "water droplets" by placing obstacles or repelling them.

Use Geo Traveler's Elemental Skill and Burst to block the slimes from approaching the center to get The Fraught Return achivement.
