What is the Aggravate Reaction?

Reaction Between an Enemy with Quicken Aura and Electro

Aggravate Elemental Reaction
Effect	Deals increased Electro Damage.

Aggravate is the reaction when an enemy with Quicken Aura takes Electro damage. The attack with Electro received by the Quickened Enemy will have increased Electro Damage.

The Elemental Mastery stat of the Electro character can further boost this Electro damage increase. This reaction can be also boosted through Artifacts and weapon passives.

How to Trigger Aggravate

Trigger Catalyze First!

Aggravate is like a follow-up to the Catalyze reaction. Which means that in order to fully utilize that increased Electro damage, a Catalyze reaction must first occur.

You can be able to tell if the enemy has a Quicken Aura by a green flicking effect around them. The Catalyze reaction itself deals no extra damage, as the reaction is a set-up for Aggravate and Spread reactions. The aura lasts about 7 seconds.

Apply Electro

Be sure to apply Electro right after triggering the Catalyze reaction! Adding any other element, especially Dendro can disrupt the Catalyze reaction. Use your designated Electro Main DPS or Sub-DPS for this.

This deals increased Electro Damage and can be boosted further by the Electro Character's Elemental Mastery stat.

Best Characters for Aggravate

Keqing

Despite her previous negative reviews prior to Dendro's release, Keqing is now one of the best Main DPS for Aggravate teams. Due to her quick and 100% uptime on Electro Application, she can consistently proc Aggravate and deal a lot of damage.

When to Use Keqing in Aggravate

When you want to have an Electro Main DPS with consistent application.

When you have an Off-Field Dendro Applicator.

When you don't mind losing your 50/50.

Cyno

The General Mahamatra, Cyno is one of the best picks for an Aggravate team. He can work well with an Elemental Mastery artificat piece, to further increase his Aggravate potential.

He is a hypercarry unit, which would require strategic planning of buffs and support from his team before unleashing his Elemental Burst.

When to use Cyno in Aggravate

When you don't mind or enjoy the Hypercarry playstyle

When you have an Off-Field Dendro Applicator.

Yae Miko

Depending on your demands, Yae Miko can serve as a sub DPS or an electro DPS. She might not apply Electro as rapidly as Keqing, but because to her EM scaling, she is still very viable for Aggravate teams.

Her Elemental Skill produces turrets that sometimes fire Electro DMG at adjacent opponents. With this, Yae Miko can almost permanently apply the Quicken status on enemies, as long as there is consistent Dendro application.

When to use Yae Miko in Aggravate

When you want to have more flexibility in team roles.

When you want to use a Dendro Main-DPS or another Electro Unit.

Fischl

The Prinzessin der Verurteilung or Fischl, is still one of the best 4-star Electro Sub-DPS in the game.

With her potential to do a lot of damage using her Elemental Skill, the introduction of Dendro can cause her raven, Oz to deal consistent Electro damage Off-Field and supporting the Main-DPS.

When to use Fischl in Aggravate

When you want to have a battery for units with high-cost Elemental Bursts

When you want to use a Dendro Main-DPS or another Electro Unit.

Lisa - F2P Champion

Being one of the starting characters, Lisa can easily be overshadowed by her fellow Electro units. However, with her Elemental Burst, she can easily deal Electro damage in a wide area while Off-Field and trigger Aggravate easily.

This and her ascension passive: Static Electricity Field, which shreads enemies' defense by 15% for 10 seconds when hit by her burst, secures her place as one of the viable options for Aggravate teams.

When you want to use a F2P Friendly option for Aggravate

When you want to deal big damage in a single area.

This interchangeable team comp centers around either Keqing and Cyno to deal increased Electro Damage provided by Aggravate. Keqing and Cyno can take up most of the field time with their consistent Electro Application to Quickened enemies.

It is just crucial to note that there should be a Off-Field Dendro Applicator such as Nahida and Collei to ensure that both Keqing and Cyno can do their increased Electro Damage without having to swap out.

Just remember to apply Electro first at the Quickened Enemies as dealing Dendro damage will result to a Spread reaction than a Aggravate reaction.
