You can unlock Act 1 of Sigewinne's Story Quest by using one Story Key, and by reaching Adventure Rank 40+. Travelers must also complete Archon Quest Chapter 5 and Neuvillette's Story Quest Act 1!
A Story Key is usually needed to unlock a Story Quest. Like most characters, Sigewinne will need Story Keys to unlock her quest.
To get 1 Story Key, you need to do 8 Daily Commissions and be at Adventure Rank 26. Since there are only 4 Commissions in a day, you will need a minimum of 2 days to get a single Story Key.

| 1 |  Take a look around the Court of Fontaine, heading to the crowded street just northeast of the giant fountain. |
| 2 |  After Sigewinne's story and the cutscene, talk to Sigewinne to ask for her advice. |
| 3 |  You will be given a list of materials to get; head west outside the Court of Fontaine. For the first ingredient, defeat the Tainted Hydro Phantasm by the beach. |
| 4 |  For the second ingredient, dive underwater and defeat the Sternshield Crab with a marker above it! |
| 5 |  Once you've collected both ingredients, go to the Fortress of Meropide's Administrative Area and head to Sigewinne's office to meet her. |
| 6 |  After finishing the conversation with Odilon and Sigewinne, she'll advise you to take a break first. You can talk to Sigewinne again to continue the quest. |
| 7 |  Once you've helped Sigewinne prepare ingredients, go to Wolsey at the Coupon Cafeteria. |
| 8 |  Go with Sigewinne to the observation ward, which is located in the passage beside the nurse's office and guarded by Odilon. |

| 1 |  Fast forward the time to past 08:00 the next day and meet with Sigewinne in the nurse's office again. |
| 2 |  After talking with everyone, you'll be asked to fetch the person claiming to be Erick. You can check the Criminal's Testimony in your inventory for clues, and it will show that "Enri" is claiming to be Erick. |
| 3 |  Once you've devised a plan, teleport to the New Fontaine Research Institute and approach the NPC on the right, Bognor. |
| 4 |  Gather intelligence on Rawat and talk to three researchers in the area, in any order. One of the researchers, Bertram, is south of the building on the lower level. |
| 5 |  Another researcher nearby is Audree, who's standing atop the broken bridge just north of Bertram. |
| 6 |  The third researcher, Antibes, is standing in front of a bulletin board by the road north of the institute building. |
| 7 |  After talking to all three researchers, head to the rendezvous point further down the road, near some ruins. |
| 8 |  After the conversation, head to the northwest fields of the Court of Fontaine, where the residence of Rawat's mother is located. Enter the house after the short cutscene. |
| 9 |  Inside the house, you'll find Rawat's mother. Sigewinne will ask you to find hot water, which is located in the cabinet by the foot of the bed. You will also find Rawat's Notes in the cabinet. |
| 10 |  Talk to Sigewinne and help tend to the old lady. |

| 1 |  As soon as opening the door to the lab, go to Rawat's private lab. There are monsters inside this story quest domain, so make sure to bring your strongest Hydro characters with you. Sigewinne is also a playable as a trial character in this domain. |
| 2 |  Upon entering the domain, you'll see Clockwork Meka, and a bunch of enemies dressed as the Gardes. Defeat them to search deeper within the underground lab. |
| 3 |  Once the lookouts have been apprehended, proceed deeper within the lab. Continue walking until you see a large room with broken jars, and a massive machine at the center. After exhausting the dialogue with everyone, search deeper until you see the cart puzzle. |
| 4 | To solve the cart puzzle and search deeper, head over to the movable joint of the rail, and rotate it clockwise. Then, head over to the loaded cart get it moving. |
| 5 | Next, move back to the movable joint, and rotate it counterclockwise. This should make the cart face the locked door ahead. Click get the cart moving once to open the door. |
| 6 |  As you can continue forward, you'll see a similar cart puzzle with a more complicated railway. To open the doors, you must lead the loaded cart, and have it go through the lock door at the farthest left. There's also a bunch of Pyro Slimes, so simply defeat them to proceed. |
| 7 | To solve the second cart puzzle, go to the first cart you see, click get the cart moving once. |
| 8 | Then, rotate it counterclockwise and get the cart moving respectively, to move the cart over to the side. |
| 9 | Once done, head over to the unloaded cart, and select get the cart moving. Then, rotate the joint counterclockwise, and get the cart moving, to remove it from the tracks. |
| 10 | Afterwards, run back to the previous loaded cart, and click get the cart moving. This will move the cart back to the movable joint. Then, select rotate clockwise two times to connect this joint to the track that leads to the farthest door. |
| 11 | At this point, you can choose to select get the cart moving prompt while interacting with the loaded cart, followed by a rotate clockwise OR you can head to the joint in front of you, and rotate it clockwise two times then counterclockwise once. |
| 12 | Either method is fine, so long as the tracks are connected. Once they have, select the get the cart moving prompt to solve the cart puzzle to open the door that connects to the potion lab of Potton. |
| 13 |  As you reach the deepest part of the lab where you see Potton arguing with the others, the Marechaussee Phantom officers will subdue the guards. Defeat all waves of enemies to progress the dialogue. |
| 14 |  Then, listen to Sigewinne's and Potton's exchange. Everyone will be able to get out of the lab safely, but immediately head to Potton's destination as soon as you get out. This location is at his mother's house, located north of Court of Fontaine. |
| 15 |  Once you're there, enter Potton's mother's residence with Sigewinne. |

| 1 |  Following the events back in the Potton's lab, take a look around the Court of Fontaine, by the beauty shop where you first met Rawat. Talk to Sigewinne whom you spot among the crowd clamoring over the newest skincare product, Romaritime Essence. |
| 2 |  After talking to the head nurse of Meropide, go to the place you agreed upon with Sigewinne, located near Poisson. Once you've arrived at the location, talk to Neuvillette and Wriothesley first, then lastly talk to Sigewinne to conclude the quest. |
