Fishing Minigame Guide

	Walkthrough
1	Hold the Cast Rod Button to aim, aim at a location with the fish you need, and let go of the button to release the hook. Wait for the Fish to bite before clicking anything else!
2	Once a fish bites the hook, press the Raise Hook button quickly before the fish escapes!
3	After raising your hook, the fish will try to break free. Hold/Release the Fish Button to adjust your fishing line tension and keep it in the yellow Tension Zone.
4	Once the Fishing Meter is full, you have managed to successfully catch a fish!

Things To Do Before Fishing

Prepare a Lot of Bait

You can make fish bait with a regular crafting table. Note that each set of ingredients makes 10 bait, so a little goes a long way!

Where to Get Bait Formulas

To collect all bait formulas, you'll have to catch 9 Medaka. You'll get the recipe for Fruit Paste Bait from the Exploding Population quest, which you can use to make bait for catching the Medaka you need.

There are a total of 41 regular fishing spots in Teyvat. Each fishing spot contains specific species of fish that vary with in-game time. To begin fishing, walk up to the ripples in the water and select ''Fishing.''

Don't throw the hook directly in front of a fish

Casting your line too near a fish will scare it instead of make it bite. Instead of placing the hook in front of a fish, we recommend aiming slightly to the side of the fish.
