While it may not be able to compete with Jormuntide Ignis' HP, it has higher Defense and its Partner Skill makes it one of the best Dragon-type attackers in the game. However, if you're not mounting it, its Dragon damage is equal to Jormuntide Ignis'.

Blazamut Ryu is one of the best multitasking Mining Pals in the game since it can perform both Kindling or Mining tasks depending on what's needed at the time.

A Tier Ride Mount

While it is not the fastest mount out there, the bonus Dragon damage it gets while you're riding it makes it one of the better mounts in the game. Even if you're not explicitly using it for combat, the damage bonus is extremely useful for clearing out any enemies in your way.

Blazamut Ryu's Partner Skill is Eternal Flame. This boosts the damage of its Dragon-type attacks, helping it rival the likes of Jormuntide Ignis

Blazamut Ryu Best Active Skills

Brawn Impact	Blazamut Ryu's exclusive Fire-type attack. Superior to Fire Ball since it has a lower cooldown.
Magna Crush	Blazamut Ryu's exclusive Dragon-type attack. It's also the strongest Dragon-type attack in the game.
Lightning Strike or Lightning Bolt	The best Electric attacks it can learn via a Skill Fruit. Necessary to counter Blazamut Ryu's Water weakness.

Blazamut Ryu Best Passive Skills

Eternal Flame	Musclehead
Ferocious	Serenity

Eternal Flame is Blazamut Ryu's exclusive passive skill. This is by far the best passive for it since it boosts the damage of its Fire and Electric attacks. When combined with its Partner Skill, this boosts the damage of all 3 of its attacks.

As for its other passives, Musclehead, Ferocious, and Serenity give it a +60% Attack boost, with Serenity also giving it a -30% Active Skill Cooldown buff. You also get -50% Work Speed, but that shouldn't matter since this isn't a base worker build.

Cannot Pass Down Certain Passives Through Breeding

Do note that Blazamut Ryu can only be hatched from Eggs that come from 2 Blazamut Ryus breeding together. This means that it cannot get certain exclusive passives through breeding, like Legend.

How to Use Blazamut Ryu Effectively

Mount It to Maximize Its Dragon Damage

Remember to always mount Blazamut Ryu to maximize the damage that Magna Crush deals. If you don't, you're losing out on the Dragon damage boost you'd get otherwise.

Always Have Eternal Flame and an Electric Attack

Blazamut Ryu already has its Fire-typing to deal with Ice-types, so you'll need an Electric attack to deal with its Water weakness. As a bonus, its signature Passive Skill, Eternal Flame, increases the damage of Electric attacks by 30%.

Make sure to always have these two things on Blazamut Ryu's build so that you can quickly deal with any Water-types you encounter.

Counters for Blazamut Ryu

Use a Pal With a Fast Movespeed

Blazamut Ryu isn't that fast, and you can easily outmanoeuvre it with a Pal that has a greater Movespeed than it. Just make sure you're not using a Pal that's weak to its attacks, like Paladius for example.

Use Azurobe to Make the Player the Main DPS

Alternatively, you could make the Player the Water attacker by using Azurobe's Partner Skill. You'll also want to Gobfins on your team to further boost the damage of the Player's attacks.
