Selyne has solid HP, Attack, and Defense, but its typing isn't the best defensively. However, it makes up for it by having a great Partner Skill that boosts the damage of its Fire and Dark attacks.

S Tier Base Worker Pal

Selyne is an excellent base worker thanks to having multiple high-level Work Suitabilities. It also doesn't need to have its work tasks restricted since it will only perform Handiwork and Medicine Production tasks if you queue it up yourself.

The only downside is that it has a slow transporting speed, but it shouldn't matter since you'd want a few extra Pals dedicated to transporting items anyways.

Selyne's Partner Skill is Celestial Darkness. This is a powerful Partner Skill that boosts Selyne's Fire and Dark attacks whenever she's been mounted. Just be careful since Selyne's very slow and can be easily hit by attacks.

Selyne Best Passive Skills

All 4 passives combined give Selyne a +75% Attack boost, while Serenity also gives a -30% Active Skill Cooldown buff. Do note that you'll also have -60% Work Speed, but it doesn't matter since this isn't a Base Worker build.

Alternatively, you could also use Swift instead of Hooligan to help improve Selyne's horrible Movement Speed by +30%.

Cannot Pass Down Certain Passives Through Breeding

Do note that Selyne can only be hatch from Eggs that come from 2 Selynes breeding together. This means that it cannot get certain exclusive passives through breeding, like Legend.

How to Use Selyne Effectively

Stay Mounted on Selyne

To maximize Selyne's damage output, you'll always want to stay mounted on it when possible. This way, it will always get a damage boost to its Fire and Dark attacks.

As mentioned, just be careful not to get hit by attacks since Selyne is a very slow Pal.

Avoid Dark and Dragon Pals

Due to its typing, Selyne is weak to both Dark and Dragon attacks. Avoid Pals with these typings since it's hard to cover for both of these type matchups with only 3 active skills.

Counters for Selyne

Use Water, Dragon, or Dark Pals

In most scenarios, Selyne will have a moveset consisting of a Fire, Dark, and Normal attack to fully benefit from its typing and Partner Skill. This means you'll want to bring Water, Dragon, and Dark-type Pals against it so that you can resist those three attack types respectively.

Always Use a Dragon or Dark-Type Pal

As much as possible, always bring a Dragon or Dark-type Pal against Selyne. This is because they're both super-effective and resistant to Selyne's Dark and Normal-typing respectively.

Selyne's Partner Skill is Celestial Darkness. Unfortunately, this isn't useful when they're used as a Base Worker since the Partner Skill is geared more towards buffing their damage while they're your active Pal in combat.

As for its Work Suitabilities, it has 3 Levels in Handiwork, Medicine, and Transporting. This makes it a more balanced version of Bellanoir and Bellanoir Libero, which is great since it can swap between work tasks depending on your Base's needs.

Selyne Best Passive Skills

These 4 Passives will give Selyne a +110% Work Speed boost to help it quickly craft items or medicine. The only downside is that it will also get a -30% Attack and -10% Defense Drop, making it worse at defending the base.

Pass Down Passive Skills Through Breeding

Some skills are exclusive to certain Pals, making the only way to get it on Selyne is to pass it down via breeding.

Unfortunately, Selyne can only be hatched from Eggs that come from 2 other Selyne's, meaning it cannot get exclusive skills like Legend or Divine Dragon for example.
