Desert of Hadramaveth's Ruin Golem is one of three known Ruin Golems located in the Sumeru region, alongside the Ruin Golems at Devantaka Mountain and Valley of Dahri.

Unlike the other two Ruin Golems, this Ruin Golem is in far better structural and functional condition. Initially situated at Dunes of Steel, it was still capable of traversal upon reactivation, and during the World Quest The Dirge of Bilqis, the player relocates it to an area north of The Sands of Three Canals, then finally Wounded Shin Valley.

Upon sinking into the ground at Wounded Shin Valley, the Ruin Golem permanently loses all mobility and its ability to punch, though its eye cannon can still be operated freely like the Ruin Golem at Valley of Dahri.

The Orchard of Pairidaeza

The oasis was created by King Deshret as a cemetery for the Goddess of Flowers. He created it to preserve a single moment for all eternity as a memorial to her; as such, everything in the oasis is frozen in place, from the animals to the water, the latter of which can be walked on. It lies beneath Mt. Damavand and can only be entered through Deshret's Glass Goblet, which is located beneath it.

The Traveler visits the Eternal Oasis with Jeht in the World Quest The Eternal Dream, Ever Lush. She leaves her father's axe and her mother's notes next to a tree there, where they can be found from that point forward.

There are three chairs in the middle of the oasis, one for each of the three God-Kings of Sumeru. Abbreviated forms of their names are written in Deshret Script on the chairs. There is a withered Irminsul tree similar to that on Tsurumi Island, The Chasm: Underground Mines and Dragonspine located beside the central island, indicating the presence of the Divine Nail that has fell onto Mt. Damavand.

Wenut Tunnels

Wenut Tunnels is the system of caverns below The Sands of Al-Azif that are home to the dangerous Wenut.

The desert's border stretches on. Legend has it that between the countless scimitar-shaped ravines that cut across the desert plain, a lost city of old lies hidden with a wandering tribe seeking refuge in its ruins.
Perhaps among the incessant sandstorms that seem to erode all things encompassed by history, a story lost in time awaits to be uncovered...

Trivia[]

Etymology[]

  • Hadramaveth may be derived from Hadramaut (Arabic: حَضْرَمُوتُ/حَضْرَمَوْتُ), a region in South Arabia, Eastern Yemen, where the ruins of Barran Temple are located, otherwise knows as Throne of Bilqis. The most common folk etymology is that the name means "death has come."
