Seriously, I was exhausted after I finished it.
There's nothing memorable about this story and I hate that Sean's accident would have been easily avoidable. I understand that some drama is necessary to make the story flow, but I was seriously expecting something else. Though, I can't deny that seeing them falling in love was sweet but I was expecting this to be deeper. They were always competing against each other. Who will say the cockiest comment, who will tell the funniest joke, who will get more ass... And so on.
And that story that Sean's mom told him that they were almost meant to be... Uhmm, I just couldn't buy it. I may have if the circumstances would have been different but that last 10% was so cheesy that my eyes hurt from rolling them so hard.

AND DON'T GET ME STARTED WITH THE SILLY NICKNAMES. That pulled me out of the story so many time that I just wanted to leave my kindle there and walk away from it.
Ninja and Straighty... Really?
Though, thumbs up for the sex. For the virgin sex and for the wall sex. Riley and Devon are the masters of hot encounters.
Uhg, I hate finishing books where I feel like I could have been perfectly fine by skipping it in the first place....more

This was a delicious slow burn with age-gap and what I liked the most was that the story was developed in Germany and part in Spain. Different settings that I'm not used to read, it makes this author so unique and more appealing to me.
4 stars because I didn't find it as amazing as The Layover and because Chris annoyed the hell out of me going behind Alexander back to read his work when he clearly said 'no'. I know he meant well but that's a way of betraying someone's trust and I just can't accepted and let it go that easily.
*sigh* Anyway... I highly recommend it because it's a short story worth reading and what bothered me might be nothing for someone else, so don't mind me :-P....more

I enjoy seeing what the characters went through and how they will overcome their problems to be together again. Besides, this kind of story comes with a certain amount of angst and I’m an angst-junkie so I cannot say no to this type of book. However, I admit this wasn’t as good as I expected and it’s a bummer.
In his senior year in all-boy school, Jackson Devenport meets the new transferred kid, Lucas Sullivan. What they didn’t imagine is that their brand-new friendship was going to become more, that they were going to fall for each other. Jackson is the rich boy with a path already set by his father and just weeks before their graduation Jackson leaves the school under his father’s orders without a single word to Lucas. Eight years later, on a business trip, Jackson overhears two men talking about Lucas Sullivan, the ‘sex god’ and that he’d be in a night club. Jackson can’t help himself and takes advantage of the information he overheard to go to see Lucas so he can tell him how sorry he was for leaving out of the blue but the last thing he expected was to find a man completely different from the boy he used to know.
To say things are strained between these two is an understatement. Jackson didn’t expect that leaving Lucas was going to hurt him so much, but there are some things that happened he’s not aware of and obviously, Lucas blames him.
In general was a good plot, but honestly, the problems between Jackson and Lucas were mostly because of misunderstanding and resentment. The chemistry between these two was undeniable but I truly felt it after 20% when they started to interact and spent less time in their heads.
I totally saw that plot twist at 70%, so I can’t say this story wowed me. In this sort of books, flashbacks are necessary to know what happened and to know how they used to be but I truly HATED how the author managed the flashbacks in this book. They appeared at the most inopportune moments (like when they were having sex, wtf?) or when they were having important conversations and sometimes I had to go back so I could remember what they were talking in the present.
The drama was ok at first, but then it felt like a bit too much, Jackson’s dad was a predictable douche bag and the flashback thing was annoying, that’s why I can’t give it more than 3 stars.

Justin and DJ Dangerfield (lol, that name has me giggling every time I read it) have been talking by phone around a year and they obviously have a crush on each other even if they don't accept it at first.
Geez, I love it. Just what I needed to make me smile. So, so, perfect. Splendid writing, gorgeous story, and great characters. Anyta did not even let me wanting more of this story because she wrapped it up pretty well.

I enjoyed and giggled a lot with some of the crazy stuff I read here. What else can I do if I find myself incapable of running into better books?
Doug is trying to start all over again after a really bad breakup, so he moves to a new place and tries to get his social life back so one night out with his new friend Jairo, he meets Stewart while Jairo goes home with Corey.
What does all that has to be with anything, right? Well, it turns out that Stewart and Corey are boyfriends but they are in an open relationship… and they are his annoying neighbors that didn’t let him sleep his first night because they were partying 5 days in a row and having non-stop sex that Doug was capable of listening to through his radiator… Doug has a patient of a saint; I would have destroyed the radiator already or something less unconventional…
Stewart and Corey are pretty cool about sleeping with other people as long as they don’t repeat it so they avoid getting attach emotionally…
Doug was like a lost puppy who didn’t know what to do with his life at first and when he meets Stewart it appears he won’t be able to have a normal life because he literally gets in between Corey and Stewart’s relationship and that brings all kind of drama to the mix. I thought it was going to be an MMM story but thanks God it didn’t because I barely felt any chemistry between Steward and Doug.
I didn’t find Steward as mesmerizing as Doug thinks he is, he just another hot guy that speeds Doug’s heart by some inexplicable reason to me. However, Corey, he did let a mark on me and I get what Steward said about ‘how Corey is always winning everyone over.’ #Guilty
Corey was annoying at first, but his eccentric personality made it impossible for me to hate him. He was funny, hot-blooded, smart and great person, albeit he was a side character, he just caught my attention more than Stewart. Though, the one who really annoyed me was Doug’s brother…. I hate meddling people!
To be honest, Steward and Doug’s didn’t have the most solid relationship and that may be an issue to some. Ok, I actually get that an ‘open-relationship’ isn’t cheating but… somehow, Corey and Steward did cheat on each other because (view spoiler)[ when Corey’s finds out that Stewart fooled around with Doug, he asked them not to do it again, but Steward just ignores this completely and I hate it how he just went behind Corey’s back just to feel something again. Not to mention he was messing with poor Doug's head.
I know, they had issues and the love wasn’t there anymore, they were one step away from breaking things up but that doesn’t give him right to fool around with someone his boyfriend wasn’t comfortable with, so I’ll say that is cheating. (hide spoiler)]
Mostly, the story didn’t wow me, was easily predictable and a bit irritating but it was good, something different and I dare to say quite realistic, at least with the relationship/feelings part.

For me, this series just keeps improving. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars to this book because it was freaking awesome. I think this is the last book of Sloan and Dex story and Geez, it was perfect!!!
This whole book kept me grinning, laughing, swooning and sighing from beginning to end.
I can't write a proper review: first I'm writing it up from my phone and second, I'm still giggling like a stupid with that ending, I hope Sarge Tony won't be too hard with Ash and Sloan. LOL
As usual, I can't wait to start the next book. I'm so intrigued with what's gonna happen with Cael and Ash and the rest of the team, specially Cal and Hobb (Oh.My.God. I already know how hot they can be. Why can't I read these books fast enough??!!)

The blurb wasn’t so appealing and reading the reviews didn’t give me much hope about it but I’m glad I gave it a chance! I thought Henry’s cluelessness was going to pull me out of the story but this feature of him turned out to be so fricking lovely! Besides, characters that are socially awkward are my jam! I always have a blast with this type of stories.
I can’t give it 5 stars because the scene almost at the end with Henry and his brother didn’t convince me. That admission was kind of harsh and it made the ending way too abrupt for my liking.
The rest was just perfection to me. Ash is the man of my dream now.
This continues to amaze me! This series is really good and my God, Dex is such a great character, I didn’t think it was going to be possible 4 stars.
This continues to amaze me! This series is really good and my God, Dex is such a great character, I didn’t think it was going to be possible for these books to get even funnier!!!
The story line is great; the side characters are as fascinating as the MCs. I loved learning a bit more about them and I can’t wait to get to their books ;).
I like how Dex and Sloan’s relationship is developing, these two are wonderful together. Definitely one of my favorite couples (maybe because of Dex, but whatever)
However, I can’t give it more stars because I want more shifting but that didn’t happen in here, it is easy to forget this is a book about shifters!!!!
I’m hooked! Can’t wait what’s going to happen next :)...more
I’m officially obsessed with THIRD series. I noticed they’re quite popular but if it weren’t for Wendy, I wouldn’t have started this amazing series.
II’m officially obsessed with THIRD series. I noticed they’re quite popular but if it weren’t for Wendy, I wouldn’t have started this amazing series.
It’s kinda hard to explain what this book is about and I won’t even try because it seems that everyone has already read it, I'm just getting late to the party and they already wrote amazing reviews so I'm keeping this short and sweet.
There weren’t many things I didn’t like, I actually think it was just two things:
The steamy moments.- I’d have liked more of those because Dex and Sloan are so hot together!
The mystery.- Pfft, it was easy to guess who the bad guy was, even though I was more interested in knowing the ‘why’, I would have liked that Cochet would have put my mind to work a little bit harder. Around 45% I already knew who was behind the bad things happening and it was a bummer for me because I adore a good mystery.
What I really, really like:
Dex.- God, he was SO funny, I was constantly laughing my ass off with everything he said or did. It makes the book lighter and I love he’s so caring and a little bit naïve.
Sloan.- *fanning myself* the hot jaguar shifter. Ok, this is weird, I’ve never read anything with a bunch of kittens shifter but it was awesome. Sloan is the typical broody MC with a secret past and a broken heart. It was nice seeing the contrast between him and Dex and how Dex managed to get relatively close to him. I like that Sloan embraced his attraction to Dex and he doesn’t push him away.
The team.- Every one of them was awesome! I like how they take care of each other and OH JESUS, I can’t wait to get to read Cael and Ash’s or Calvin and Hodd’s books.
The world building.- It was pretty impressive too. It’s nice to see that the author invested herself creating something good!
This book is the perfect mix of action and romance with a bit of extra that includes good banter and a steamy couple! What's there not to like? Not to mention there's not insta-love!! It's weird to find a shifter book without it because you know most shifter bonds pretty quickly so it was a nice change. I can't wait to see how Dex and Sloan relationship develops!!!...more
LOL, I don’t know if I read the same book as everyone because I definitely didn’t love this story. I liked it, but it wasn’t something spectacular. OtLOL, I don’t know if I read the same book as everyone because I definitely didn’t love this story. I liked it, but it wasn’t something spectacular. Other ‘friends to lovers’ story with a very confused MC and a very confused Dani………….. I haven't seen a title more accurate than this one. (uhg, I hate the cover btw)
Ryan and Jamie have been best friends since they were little. Jamie is in love with his very straight friend who sees him like a ‘little’ brother and thinks it will be really gross to be with Jamie. Yep, ouch.
This story is very similar to Jared and Gabe’s in Just a Bit Unhealthy because their relationship was a bit unhealthy too. Ryan only felt a brotherly love toward Jamie but he seemed to be unable to keep his hand or his lips away from him -you know, typical best friends thing that is always kissing you even more than your boyfriend (just in case, I'm being sarcastic)-, he was always groping him but yeah... He doesn’t want Jamie for a sexual or a romantic purpose.
What I didn’t like was how Ryan was messing up with Jamie’s head the whole book; it took him AGES to find out how he really felt about Jamie. The whole book was Ryan saying he really didn’t want him that way and Jamie moping around until near 95% that’s when Ryan had some kind of enlightenment and his life is solved miraculously.
I admit it; it’s a really entertaining story. Somehow, Hazzard unrealistic story and messed up characters have certain appealing. Though, I don’t know if I want a psychologist for the characters or for the author… I haven’t figured it out yet but if I keep reading this series the one who’ll need a psychologist will be me. (Seriously, I may actually need one 'cause I don't get why I still want to keep reading this series, Hazard has some weird spell on me.)
Well *shrug*, I guess I like constantly rolling my eyes with the stupid things I read here. God, this was an inducing eye roll story. Besides, I can’t deny I have fun reading this book because is so ridiculous and I adore criticizing it, LOL.
I still love Tristan and Zach, those two are my favorite and I loved seeing Tristan again <3...more
I’ll keep it short and simple without giving away much of the plot.
Shane Wallace and Maxwell*4,5 stars*
A kinky, hot and great enemies to lovers story!
I’ll keep it short and simple without giving away much of the plot.
Shane Wallace and Maxwell “Van” Sullivan are two men who had a rough past. Shane used to be bullied by Max’s and his friends in high school. What Shane doesn’t know is that the golden town boy didn’t have it as easy as everyone thought. 12 years later, Max is back to town to help his mom and Shane can’t help but bring bad memories back to life.
Even though Shane is still a bit resentful about what he lived when he was younger, he and Van manage to put that awful past behind them pretty quick and damn, things start to get pretty steamy between these two.
Depth of Field is the type of book I love because it has everything I enjoy: good banter, incredible sex, delicious dirty talk, kinky moments, and the perfect amount of angst. Not everything goes around sex, which is another plus for me. These boys have a great amount of forgiveness to do and resentment to overcome, not only between them but also with the people who are around them.
Their chemistry was just natural and I liked they didn’t panic or regret about fooling around, they just gave into each other desires to have fun and good sex because they just… fit. I liked they’re open to each other, they get to know who they were and who they are, I loved there’s great amount of communication between them! They don’t hold back, they just tell everything that was bugging them to each other to get it out of their system, because unconsciously they support each other despite their previous story and that makes their relationship pretty smooth and easy going until their insecurities come to bite them in the ass (mostly Shane’s).
“I love you. I love you so fucking much it scares me because nothing has the power to hurt me like you do.”
Hart did a great job, I really liked this book. I actually don’t have many complaints, just some grammar mistakes that bug the hell out of me and some cheesy moments but they were purposely cheesy and that made them hilarious.
“How about you take that towel off and come here? I’d like to do you tonight. You be the outlet and I’ll be the plug. We’re electric together, baby.”
Van is such a great character, after some flashbacks, I was surprised to see he turned out to be pretty lay-back and Geez, his passion was what sucked me into the story at the same time as Shane loneliness and ‘what ifs’ just squeezed my heart.
Oooh!! I almost forget to mention the title has something to do with the story. I freaking love when the title means something and it isn’t just random words on the cover!!! Besides, we got such a sweet epilog that was the perfect icing on the cake. I don’t have anything else to say just that I highly recommend this book....more
I mean, Sloane Kennedy put her touch in here. I’ve already tried one book from Sloane and I can say her stylFEELS, so many feelings with this book!!!
I mean, Sloane Kennedy put her touch in here. I’ve already tried one book from Sloane and I can say her style works almost perfectly for me. I’m pretty sure the angst, tension, and drama were all her doing and I think Lucy was the one who lightens the story with her awkward trademark of the weird naked lady (Xander’s aunt), the cuteness and corny moments.
The writing of these two women meshes perfectly, the way they manage the story was just amazing and you can tell these ladies did their research about nature and wilderness because everything was so well explained and precise.
This actually isn’t a second chance love. Before going on differents path, the MCs were too young to have a romantic relationship. Even when they had feelings for each other, things happen and they just didn't get a chance to explore their attraction.
Basically, the story is about Bennett and Xander, they’ve been friends since they were 5 years old. This is the typical story of the “rich and poor boy”, but they don’t let those lables to get in the way of their friendship. Their parents used to get along until Xander’s mom leaves and his dad starts to work for Bennett’s dad in their house as a gardener but the new status of Xander’s father didn’t affect their friendship until they started high school. They start to grow apart and I won’t say what happened because I don’t want to spoil the story.
Along the way, they developed feelings for each other but one night things go to hell between Bennett and Xander and that’s why they couldn’t explore their attraction.
Fifteen years later they encounter each other again when Bennett hires the wilderness expedition company where Xander works. Xander comes off as bitter and rash with Bennett at first and what pissed me off was that he was being an irrational resentful in the middle of nowhere with kids under his care, and I kind of hate that he got his shit together after Aidan (Bennett’s best friend) complained about it. I mean, he was right because Xander was being completely unprofessional.
And I guess Bennett shouldn’t have accepted all the crap that came from Xander but objectively he felt guilty about what happened and I guess that was a ‘self-flagellation’ thing.
I always pay special attention at how the MC will fix things between them and I liked that Bennett and Xander’s progression was slowly and before they could start to forgive each other they made a truce. I mean, things weren’t forgotten at first, they manage to get things right in a way I think was credible.
I hate when the MCs let their issues aside just to fuck like bunnies; in here, as I said before, they made a truce for the sake of the travel and the kids. With the truce, they were capable of talking, catching up with their lives, joking for the good old days, and after a while, fucking like bunnies.
Bennet had a piece of me I’d never be able to give to anyone else. A big piece.
Bennet and Xander melted my heart, they were so sweet together, and sometimes they were even funny! And when they stopped fighting and started being good to each other I couldn’t stop grinning because they were so freaking adorable!
I’d loved Xander from the moment I’d spied him through the car window, sitting on that swing, his sad eyes on his faded Transformers sneakers.
I really enjoyed this book. Even the side characters were amazing. The one I mentioned before, Aidan, was an asshole at first, but when I realized that he just wanted to protect Bennett, I started liking him. Eventually, assholes buy my heart *sigh*
Lucky was such an adorable kid and along with Bear, Xander’s dog, they were the most adorable thing in this book and I hope Lucky will have his own book too.
I’ll keep reading this series because I’m so intrigued by Jake (Xander's friend) and Aidan, especially Aidan because the sneak peak I read from his book was my undoing. I can’t wait!
I saw not everyone loved it or they had some things that bothered them. I don’t think I had had any inconvenience with the story and if I did I can’t remember because the things I loved about it don’t let me think about anything else. Kennedy and Lennox wrapped up the plot pretty well and I’m so pleased with the ending. I certainly adored Lost and Found and I couldn’t be happier that my 100th book of 2017 was a success for me.
