If you want to read a book that keeps you on your toes, well, this is the one.
A suspense/mystery story with lovable characters, slow-burn romance, and a cliffhanger ending.
I won't spoil anything because you have to dive in knowing NOTHING so you'll be able to enjoy it properly. I'll just say this is: If the other books resemble just a little to this one I won't get any sleep for the next few nights because is so hard to put this book down!
The writing is splendid, the events are well connected and all happen for a reason. The combination of all this gives you a storyline with lots of twists and turns that keep you wondering what will happen next on every page.
I tend to guess what will happen and sometimes I hate when I'm right because that takes all the fun for me. I love when the author surprises me and it comes up with things I didn't expect, and THAT was exactly what happened in this story. You don't have a clue of anything... In the end, everything is explained but there are some loose ends that need to be tightened up and I guess they will be on the next series...

Sebastian Cruz is the hot and scowly professor that had my heart at full speed. Tristan Holt is a professional hockey player that decided to go back to school to have a backup plan in case things go south with hockey.
From the first pages, I was hooked. I don't know if it was because this was partly Avon's work or what, but I loved every second of it. The dialogues were witty and the plot was fast-paced. I never got bored. I sighed, laughed, blushed and swooned almost the whole book.
I haven't read Piper's work so I wouldn't know how she added her magic here but I think these two meshed their writings and ideas pretty well.
I flat-out love how Tristan went back to his study even though he knew it was going to be difficult because of his hockey stuff and I love he wasn’t discouraged because of his hockey mates who didn’t understand why he bothered. He’s brave and hard working and you have no idea how I adore those kinds of people.
And oh my god, KINKY SEX ALERT!!!
The sex was hot af. It was bossy and dirty, though this kinky stuff of humiliating someone during the sex isn't my cup of tea I have to admit it was hot as hell and I could stand it because I *cough* love bossy men in bed *cough*
I enjoy the way the relationship developed: it was smooth and real -just like the characters -and I must say the UST at the beginning was the best part for me. I always love slow build-ups. aaaaaaand just like every couple they obviously had issues. The way these two authors kicked those problems out of the picture was perfect. No unnecessary drama or rash conclusion.
Another fantastic hit on the sports romance department. Highly recommended.

K.A. Merikan did it again. This new installment is so dark, bloody, and violent which makes it an amazing book.
Besides, I adore that Kat and Agnes know how to write a dark story without being too much. They add the perfect amount of humor and sweetness to melt my heart.
As always, you’ll find unconventional characters between these pages. Kat and Agnes created two opposite men who complement each other so perfectly.
Robert.- he’s the definition of tall, dark and broody. His choice of work has him surrounded by violence and blood. He has hurt so many people and he thinks he can’t live with his actions anymore until one night he sees the perfect opportunity to make something right.
Nathan.- he’s funny, full of life and smiles. He’s an escort and he had his life planned: find a sugar daddy, save up, and open a hotel. Sadly for him, he can’t carry out those plans because his life turns upside down when he sleeps with the wrong guy.
The story was absolutely brilliant. The ‘what’s going to happen next’ kept me on the edge of my seat. I know Agnes and Kate don’t hesitate to make harsh decisions for their characters (a thing I love) and because of that I was so worried and scared for my babies. They went through too much already and through the whole book, the pain and suffering almost never stop.
But I promise you there are some beautiful and hot moments too! Robert and Nathan were incredible hot together, the UST was so intense and the sex so hot that my kindle was going to burn! And the things they said to each other!! Oh, my gash… I was swooning and sighing constantly.
The writing was exquisite as always, but it had some typos and missing commas. Nothing that a good editing can’t fix and I hope they will fix it for the release day.
Overall, this was an excellent story and it goes directly to my favorite bookshelf. I laughed, I cried, I gasped, I sighed. Everything!
We Met in Death is a journey of redemption, acceptance and healing that I totally recommend!

I’ll keep it short and simple without giving away much of the plot.
Shane Wallace and Maxwell*4,5 stars*
A kinky, hot and great enemies to lovers story!
I’ll keep it short and simple without giving away much of the plot.
Shane Wallace and Maxwell “Van” Sullivan are two men who had a rough past. Shane used to be bullied by Max’s and his friends in high school. What Shane doesn’t know is that the golden town boy didn’t have it as easy as everyone thought. 12 years later, Max is back to town to help his mom and Shane can’t help but bring bad memories back to life.
Even though Shane is still a bit resentful about what he lived when he was younger, he and Van manage to put that awful past behind them pretty quick and damn, things start to get pretty steamy between these two.
Depth of Field is the type of book I love because it has everything I enjoy: good banter, incredible sex, delicious dirty talk, kinky moments, and the perfect amount of angst. Not everything goes around sex, which is another plus for me. These boys have a great amount of forgiveness to do and resentment to overcome, not only between them but also with the people who are around them.
Their chemistry was just natural and I liked they didn’t panic or regret about fooling around, they just gave into each other desires to have fun and good sex because they just… fit. I liked they’re open to each other, they get to know who they were and who they are, I loved there’s great amount of communication between them! They don’t hold back, they just tell everything that was bugging them to each other to get it out of their system, because unconsciously they support each other despite their previous story and that makes their relationship pretty smooth and easy going until their insecurities come to bite them in the ass (mostly Shane’s).
“I love you. I love you so fucking much it scares me because nothing has the power to hurt me like you do.”
Hart did a great job, I really liked this book. I actually don’t have many complaints, just some grammar mistakes that bug the hell out of me and some cheesy moments but they were purposely cheesy and that made them hilarious.
“How about you take that towel off and come here? I’d like to do you tonight. You be the outlet and I’ll be the plug. We’re electric together, baby.”
Van is such a great character, after some flashbacks, I was surprised to see he turned out to be pretty lay-back and Geez, his passion was what sucked me into the story at the same time as Shane loneliness and ‘what ifs’ just squeezed my heart.
Oooh!! I almost forget to mention the title has something to do with the story. I freaking love when the title means something and it isn’t just random words on the cover!!! Besides, we got such a sweet epilog that was the perfect icing on the cake. I don’t have anything else to say just that I highly recommend this book....more
I mean, Sloane Kennedy put her touch in here. I’ve already tried one book from Sloane and I can say her stylFEELS, so many feelings with this book!!!
I mean, Sloane Kennedy put her touch in here. I’ve already tried one book from Sloane and I can say her style works almost perfectly for me. I’m pretty sure the angst, tension, and drama were all her doing and I think Lucy was the one who lightens the story with her awkward trademark of the weird naked lady (Xander’s aunt), the cuteness and corny moments.
The writing of these two women meshes perfectly, the way they manage the story was just amazing and you can tell these ladies did their research about nature and wilderness because everything was so well explained and precise.
This actually isn’t a second chance love. Before going on differents path, the MCs were too young to have a romantic relationship. Even when they had feelings for each other, things happen and they just didn't get a chance to explore their attraction.
Basically, the story is about Bennett and Xander, they’ve been friends since they were 5 years old. This is the typical story of the “rich and poor boy”, but they don’t let those lables to get in the way of their friendship. Their parents used to get along until Xander’s mom leaves and his dad starts to work for Bennett’s dad in their house as a gardener but the new status of Xander’s father didn’t affect their friendship until they started high school. They start to grow apart and I won’t say what happened because I don’t want to spoil the story.
Along the way, they developed feelings for each other but one night things go to hell between Bennett and Xander and that’s why they couldn’t explore their attraction.
Fifteen years later they encounter each other again when Bennett hires the wilderness expedition company where Xander works. Xander comes off as bitter and rash with Bennett at first and what pissed me off was that he was being an irrational resentful in the middle of nowhere with kids under his care, and I kind of hate that he got his shit together after Aidan (Bennett’s best friend) complained about it. I mean, he was right because Xander was being completely unprofessional.
And I guess Bennett shouldn’t have accepted all the crap that came from Xander but objectively he felt guilty about what happened and I guess that was a ‘self-flagellation’ thing.
I always pay special attention at how the MC will fix things between them and I liked that Bennett and Xander’s progression was slowly and before they could start to forgive each other they made a truce. I mean, things weren’t forgotten at first, they manage to get things right in a way I think was credible.
I hate when the MCs let their issues aside just to fuck like bunnies; in here, as I said before, they made a truce for the sake of the travel and the kids. With the truce, they were capable of talking, catching up with their lives, joking for the good old days, and after a while, fucking like bunnies.
Bennet had a piece of me I’d never be able to give to anyone else. A big piece.
Bennet and Xander melted my heart, they were so sweet together, and sometimes they were even funny! And when they stopped fighting and started being good to each other I couldn’t stop grinning because they were so freaking adorable!
I’d loved Xander from the moment I’d spied him through the car window, sitting on that swing, his sad eyes on his faded Transformers sneakers.
I really enjoyed this book. Even the side characters were amazing. The one I mentioned before, Aidan, was an asshole at first, but when I realized that he just wanted to protect Bennett, I started liking him. Eventually, assholes buy my heart *sigh*
Lucky was such an adorable kid and along with Bear, Xander’s dog, they were the most adorable thing in this book and I hope Lucky will have his own book too.
I’ll keep reading this series because I’m so intrigued by Jake (Xander's friend) and Aidan, especially Aidan because the sneak peak I read from his book was my undoing. I can’t wait!
I saw not everyone loved it or they had some things that bothered them. I don’t think I had had any inconvenience with the story and if I did I can’t remember because the things I loved about it don’t let me think about anything else. Kennedy and Lennox wrapped up the plot pretty well and I’m so pleased with the ending. I certainly adored Lost and Found and I couldn’t be happier that my 100th book of 2017 was a success for me.
Santino Hassel is my weakness. No. Scratch that. Santino’s writing style is my weakness and his collaboration with Ais was splendid.
As usual, I starteSantino Hassel is my weakness. No. Scratch that. Santino’s writing style is my weakness and his collaboration with Ais was splendid.
As usual, I started this without reading the blurb, I was almost blind. I only knew the little things that my beautiful friend Vir told me. I didn’t know what the hell was going on; I just was sucked into the story thanks to Santi’s beautiful prose.
I already have my fair share of dystopian stories by now so I’m quite taken aback by how perfectly this story worked for me. I flat out loved the world building and the characters development. This book is like crack, I couldn’t put it down. I’m writing this and all I can think of is in the next book and how anxious I am to start reading it, so I’ll be quick.
Short story long: this story takes place in a world that has been destroyed by a World War III and after this event; the world hasn’t been able to completely recover. There are a lot of crimes and terrorist attacks, mostly done by one organization called Janus. There’s this other organization, that is called "The Agency” and they exist to stop Janus. The Agency is a fuck up place that has a unique weapon: Agent Hsin Liu Vega or also known as “Sin” or “The Monster”. He’s an incredibly hot and well-trained assassin with spectacular green eyes. Sin has this new partner, Boyd Beaulieu, he’s not a well-trained assassin but he’s a pretty good agent and he’s also a hottie and broody guy with long blond hair. *drooling*.
God, this book is intense and bloody. Sometimes, I had to stop because the images were so real in my head, the way they were written was so vivid that most often than not I closed my eyes as if I were watching a movie and I waited that the moment was going to be over when I opened my eyes but NO. Silly me, I constantly forgot that I was actually reading a book and not watching a movie… So imagine how well-written this book is.
Characters.- There were some side characters pretty fantastic, like Carhart, Ryan, and Luke, but that's it. Because the rest were... OMG, I just wanted them all dead. I know the world would be a better place without them. They were so mean and psycho, seriously dude. That’s why I said the Agency is a fucked up place because they hire psycho and uncontrolled people that I still don’t understand how that place is even still functioning… Boyd’s mom is a bitch. I had to say it. Otherwise, I was going to explode. And Harry… dear, you got what you deserved and I’m so happy.
Sin and Boyd.- Ok, I don’t even know what to say about them. Saying that Boyd and Sin are messed up is an understatement. They had their fair share of horror to last a lifetime and the saying ‘old habits die hard’ is very appropriate to them. I’m not saying they don’t change or whatsoever but they try and it makes their character and relationship development really enjoyable and realistic. They are good to each other and you can tell there are significant changes in their behaviors at the end that are pretty great in comparison to how they were at the beginning.
And these two were definitely visited by the miscommunication elf who raised his ugly head to make their life (and mine) so difficult. They don’t learn and I hope they will learn how to properly communicate in the next Volume because I’ll lose my mind. They need to stop looking into each other’s files when they want to know something about the other, they need to stop making assumptions and they need to stop criticizing without giving a useful solution. But, I was amused by their bickering, so that wasn’t a problem for me. Seeing them pushing each other buttons was the best thing ever.
Finally, this is the slowest slow burn ever and I’m pretty happy about it. I love the tension, I love the stolen glances and I can’t wait to see was going to happen next *sigh*
What else can I say? This was intense and heartbreaking at the same time, Santino and Ais did a splendid job with this story and I highly recommend it. I don’t know why it took me so long to start this book, don’t make my mistake and read it now, seriously....more

Wow, this was extremely good! Gale nailed it again. NAILED IT.
I was taken aback by this book. I was expecting some enemies-to-lovers story were one of the MC was an asshole deeply hidden in the closet but NO, it wasn’t like that at all. It took a twisted way darker than I’d have imagined. I didn’t know that Gale was going to cover so difficult subjects as emotional and physical abuse, eating disorders or lots of self-loathing and suffering.
(I just noticed that the blurb says that stuff but I don’t usually read it, I like to start a book almost blind, so I wasn’t completely prepared for this but it wasn’t a bad thing because I can take it.)
I was completely prepared to hate Laurent even more because he was an asshole to Isaac in Power Play but my heart just broke into million pieces when I found out why he was like that. He’s a freaking hot mess and, when Isaac finds out why he’s the way he is, he becomes Laurent’s friend, whether he likes it or not. Isaac makes sure to integrate him in the team, he gives him a nickname he won’t hate and he helps him to not be so mean to others. (It’s a defense mechanism that Laurent has been using his entire life so it wasn’t so easy to just turn it off.)
This definitely was a slow burn and I absolutely adore it! It was hard to Laurent at first because he hates being touch but as their attraction grows, he just finds out that Isaac won’t hurt him and he lets everything flow. Isaac is such a sweet little thing. He’s exactly what Laurent needed, though I can tell that Gale loves pairing such different people. I don’t know how she makes it work but these two complement each other the same way Misha and Max do. And the chemistry and connection just feel… right.
I loved seeing Misha and Max again. They are such supportive coaches and Max still is as dummy as always and I giggled a lot with him.
I liked how Gale managed Laurent’s issues, she makes sure to show you there’s no magical cure and that he got lots of hard work to heal. The writing was perfect and even though it was darker than I expected, the banter was always present to light up the moment a bit.
I loved this book and I highly recommend it!...more

I really enjoyed it but there were some extremely unbelievable moments that no, please…..

I can’t give it more stars because of that and because of the kids….. I didn’t like how the author managed the situation with them; they were some kind of props to fill in the plot and I was constantly rolling my eyes. Shawn was supposed to take care of them but whenever he had the chance he’ll leave those cute girls aside while he was having dirty and nasty sex with his naughty professor.
But whatever, I’m currently avoiding deep and angsty stories so that may be the reason why I liked it so much.

I'm so getting late to the party so I will keep it short because there are tons of amazing reviews out there. True Colors was utterly amazing, I devoured in one sitting. This kind of enemies-to-lovers story was angsty, insanely hot at times (something I'm not that used to with Anyta, but it was a really refreshing change) and sweet (obviously, as all Anyta's books).
I have no words to describe how much I enjoyed this book. This story is full of colorful prose, Marco's view of the world was unique and it added evocative feelings to the narrative.
A poignant story about friendship, first love, and forgiveness.

5 HOT AND DIRTY STARS.
This was one of the best enemies to lovers story that I've ever read. Erickson and Hassel did an awesome job with this book.
Beau and Zane are both Youtuber that hates each other. You can say they’re opposite poles because Zane is blunt af, he shares too much on his Youtube Channel as TrashyZane, he’s way too honest and genuine while Beau is just the opposite, he’s a bit phony because he uses his channel, his brand as “Beau Starr” to pretend he doesn’t have a messy past. He considers his Youtube persona as a better version of him that cannot be touch or bother.
After Beau bugs Zane on a colab in another channel, Zane retaliate against him on his channel. And after that, things get messy between them. Like, LITERALLY.
Zane claims that he would “pass” Beau because he is the representation of “vanilla sex” and OH. MY. GASH. He couldn’t have been more wrong.
Beau obviously does not want to get tangled with Zane, but let’s be honest. Who can resist a bad boy with long hair? WHO!?
Well, Beau tried. He swears he doesn’t have a type, but his body knows best because when he sees Zane he can’t help himself even when Zane brings unpleasant memories to Beau about his past boyfriend.
[…]“Taking care of him had almost cost me everything.”
And when they see each other on that gamer’s convention, they don’t waste time getting into each other skin and this is what happened when they were alone:

[…] “He tasted like alcohol, pop rocks, and bad decisions.”
And this is what happened to me:
Is hot in here or is it me?
Beau was nothing I expected; I didn't imagine he'll have such a dirty and bossy side. The glimpses we got from him on Hard Wired didn’t prepare me for this. I was surprised and delighted with this side of him.

Their hate sex moment was… Epic!
This book cannot be read in public or when your mom is nearby. NO, DON’T EVEN TRY IT.
We got rough and dirty sex with clothes being ripped, spanks, bondages and blindfolds. *sigh*
My kindle was going to get on fire with these two horny boys!
“I was fucking done. He had destroyed me, and I’d loved every minute of it.”
This book is STEAMY af.
But not everything in life is about good sex, they have some personal issues to overcome, and there are some broken hearts in this story but this wasn’t angsty. I’m not saying there’s not angst at all, there is just a bit of it because they had a ‘minor’ problem at the end but they solved it pretty quickly.
It’s a fast read, I devoured in one sitting. I really enjoyed this story. Zane and Beau are amazing characters and I really loved seeing how their connection developed through their encounters.
[…]“I’d gone from craving Zane’s body to also craving his presence, his texts, his attention.”
Their enemies to lovers transition was pretty well elaborated. I loved how they broke their prejudice and got to know and LIKE each other and I loved that they proved they have more under their Youtuber surface.
“I was still reconciling the Zane I’d originally thought he was with the one I was falling for, the one I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I’d be a judgmental asshole.”
This is an amazing series and I can’t wait to see if Megan and Santino will keep lighting up our lives with their stories. I’m having a hard time deciding if they will be occupied Kai and Garret’s as my favorite characters of this series but I guess they’ll have to share the spot because this is a difficult decision!
