Change a Pokemon's nickname by opening the menu screen in Pokemon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn how to change a Pokemon's nickname, as well as if you can rename traded Pokemon.

To give your Pokemon a nickname (or change their current nickname), simply press Up on the directional pad to open the menu, select the Pokemon you want to give a nickname to, and press A. Select Change name from the menu, then give them a nickname of your choosing!
In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, you can change your Pokemon's nickname any number of times. Since there's no limit, feel free to experiment until the right nickname sticks!
Pokemon you've received in a trade cannot be renamed or given a nickname.
When you select the Pokemon in the menu, the option to change its name will not be there.
