What are Base Camps?

Base Camp

Base Camps are outposts for your work outside of Jubilife Village. You can stop by one to heal and sleep, craft, transfer or buy items, report your Research progress to Professor Laventon, and access Pastures and switch Pokemon.

What to Do at Base Camps

What to Do at Base Camps

Heal Yourself and Your Pokemon

Base Camp Heal Pokemon

Base Camps act as Pokemon Centers in each area. You can heal your Pokemon by resting in one of the camps.

Moreover, Base Camps can be used to heal yourself when you have taken a sufficient amount of damage from wild Pokemon or from falling from high places. It also serves as your respawn point if you get knocked out while in the wild.

Rest Until Certain Time of the Day

Base Camp Rest and Change Time

You can also advance the time of day by resting inside the tent in the Base Camp. Take advantage of this if you plan on catching Pokemon that only show up at a certain time.

Rest Options
Just a little while
Until morning
Until midday
Until evening
Until nightfall

Choosing Just a Little While heals you and your Pokemon without affecting the time. Use this option to heal and quickly get back into the expedition.

Sleep until morning to change weather

Base Camp Sleep to Change Weather

If you are aiming for a weather condition in certain maps to appear, you can keep sleeping at the Base Camp and waking up on the next day until you get the weather condition you are aiming for.

Simply choose Until morning at the tent until it rains or snows, depending on the area.

Craft Items

Base Camp Crafting

You can also use the workbench found in your camps to craft items that can help you in your expeditions. All the Recipes that you have unlocked so far can be crafted here.

If you ever run out of supplies, run back to the nearest Base Camp to craft and stock up on supplies!

Store and Get Items

Base Camp Item Storage

When you have too much items in your Satchel to carry, you can unload your excess items inside the Item Storage box in the Base Camp. You can also take any items you have stored inside the box.

All Item Storage boxes in all Base Camps, including the ones back in Jubilife Village and your Quarters, share the same storage. You don't have to worry about getting back and forth between Camp boxes to store and get items.

Buy Items

Base Camp General Store

You can also buy items available in the General Store in the Base Camp. You can buy the same set of items sold back in Jubilife Village from any Camp.

Get notified for any pending Requests from the General Store

Base Camp Shop Pending Request

If you have any pending Requests from the General Store about expanding their shop, you will be notified about this by the Galaxy Member in the Base Camp.

Report Pokedex Research Tasks

You can report your Research Task progress by talking to Professor Laventon at Base Camps. Reporting back to Professor Laventon is important to update Research Tasks and Levels in the Pokedex and to get promoted to higher Survey Corps ranks.

Go back to Jubilife Village

If you want to return to Jubilife Village, you can also talk to Professor Laventon to finish your current expedition. You can return to the village even if you did not make any progress in your Research Tasks.

Replace Pokemon in Your Party

Base Camp Pastures

You can also change the members of your Pokemon party at a Base Camp and get access to your Pastures.

This works like a PC in previous Pokemon games. Use the Pastures to swap to specific Pokemon if you want to progress on their Research Tasks.
