Nah, Traveler is the anti-avatar. With each nation they seem to forget to use their elemental powers more and more.

In the recent cutscenes we've gotten of them fighting they hardly used their elemental attacks, let alone multiple elements simultaneously

Like imagine having this thrilling battle with Arle and then - as everything seems lost - we pull out the finger pistol and splash her with water right in the face. That would've shown her!

But jokes aside, it would certainly be easier for them to include Traveler's powers in cutscenes, if they were more cinematic. You can make cool stuff with a vortex, tornado, ground shockwave or meteorite. But ever since EMC their attack animations are rather bland or outright silly in HMC's case.
