This time around, just as Tessa's dreams about about to come true, there is a dead man in her new venture, her home been broken into and other people claiming they are the true owners of her new venture, making her wonder if a woman she thought she could trust, ran off with her life savings. The grandmothers get involved, always pushing Nick at her, who is a tempting treat for Tessa, then there are 2 different sheriffs that have to talk to Tessa about things, she had to bring Anna in, in her official lawyer capacity and Tessa manages to hone her matchmaker skills. So much going on, not all good. By the end everything is straightened out and Tessa has all sorts of new things in her life.

Her whole world got turned upside down, her past called into question by herself, her touch stone gone. Miranda is really floundering, but there is hope with Meg and of course Holly! I both hate and love what Holly did and know she had to do what she did, even as cruel as it was. These guys work on things that are too important to be compromised, like the potential that was hiding. I also hate how life will be for the person left behind, they have lost everything on all sides.
The plane crashes were interesting. Stupid human errors, caused by putting the egos too big for their britches. People hoping that with bad situations something like this would happen and they could take advantage of things to cause havoc in the world.
It will be interesting to see where things go from here.

With Stacy and her boys getting settled at the Lodge and everyone but Stacy knowing Del is her mate it was interesting to see how things came together. I loved that Del made it an effort to win Stacy over, along with the boys, that their first date was a group date and that he started to teach Cole how to be a wolf. Del with the boys lead to some funny times. It was also fun to see Stacy find her footing as the human among wolves and not knowing she was the mate of the enforcer. It seemed like Stacy had to keep letting out her "mama bear" to deal with things and it was the exact right step to do. It was especially right when the dinner party went to hell in a hand basket and Stacy took charge and took out the garbage. It made the ending all the sweeter when the boys realized they all had a new name for Del!

I know it's been a while since I read the last book in the series, but I had a clue who I was looking for as characters and none of them were there. I kept reading, hoped it would connect, but in the meantime, I loved Riley and her zest for life.
Riley and Olivia were great together. I loved how Riley brought up Olivia's spirits. Riley at her "work" was so funny, as was when she found her "giant". Drew was really good with her, pretty much let her do what she wanted with him and talked his ear off. It did seem odd that all of a sudden Drew wanted to be more active in Olivia's life and by default Riley's. Yet even as I say that I loved what they were building, Olivia and Drew were a cute couple.
Color me rocked when Drew revealed his past, that was a big, HOLY SHIT moment. Bigger when Sway shows up and burst through what little walls Drew still had. I thought Olivia did a great job of rolling with things, of supporting the now Zeke as he started to come back to his dead life and what all that would mean.
Zeke and Olivia going back home to those that thought he was dead was so much, so much emotion coming from them all. It was easy to see why Zeke was scared, all those he loved and a grown ass son, so much there. I was glad to see it all went well, despite the punch that happened. I loved that Olivia got to see how loved Zeke was, to share with these people what she knew of him. You could see how the two of them and Riley would fit in, so easily.
It really sucked how the trip got cut short and the trouble it caused for Zeke and Olivia on the way home, But you knew that Zeke and his guys would take care of things, nothing like this would every happen again. It made the ending all the sweeter, these 2 deserved the happy ending they found!

The first one, you had to give it to Zeke for making Ember's dream come true, even with all the drama happening towards the end. Then there was John and Shannon dealing with their boys and Santa, thought John did a great job of scaring them in a good way. The puppy story I started out rolling my eyes, but quickly was pulled in. I do want to know what the old lady is going to do to the neighbor, because you know she won't let it go. Sourdough was heartbreaking, but also very sweet. And lastly, the last one proves, no good deed goes unnoticed, sometimes it just takes years for the payoff....more

I really loved Honor and Asa's relationship, glad that they found each other as kids and stayed close. It was funny to see Honor wanting to set up Asa with Delaney, but it not working out until Honor was hurt. Delaney really was a great friend to Honor, first by letting people know something was up with Honor and then later by saving her life 2 times. It was always easy to read their interactions, but they did feel real. I was glad that Honor finally accepted the help and was able to get better. In between that happening it was great to see Delaney get beyond Asa's walls and the two of them becoming a couple and Delaney getting welcomed in with everyone. ...more

Yet,It was hard not to root for Roane when she first showed up. You could see her start to become who she should have been had her ex not been a POS. Yet, I was glad that Orion finally made a move on her. But with these guys being who they are, that move was so subtle, Roane knew he was interested and willing to wait for her to be ready. This was good for Roane, so she didn't freak out. It also helped in a weird way that both of them ended up being hurt and depending on the other for help as they got well. It allowed them to get to know each other better and really decide if this is what they wanted. Once that choice was made, it was full steam ahead for them, they were quickly wed and living an easy life as a family....more

In this one she's still getting better when she was hurt while taking care of Noah. Things were challenging for Canyon at the start, but I liked that he still spent time with Chelsea and looked at things like a 50 First Dates thing and spent time letting Chelsea get to know him. The time that they were able to spend alone while getting her a dog was great! It was a way for them to really cement their relationship and come back to the group a couple firm in their relationship, not that anyone would have given them grief about things. It was nice to see them happy at the end, exploring option for their future....more

It's great to see her get some breaks in this book and to see that she finally had people at her back for support, friendship and love.
I like how Specks laid out his past for Kaya and how he let her know he was interested in her and what he thought their life would be like, including how he wanted to be with Noah.
Through out this book, Noah was a trouper and that is saying something with what happened towards the end. My favorite with him was seeing how he was with Collette and how it drove Trident nuts.

I loved how these 2 were able to talk about their troubles and loved how Atlas reacted to hearing Patsy's and how he treated her after. At no time did Patsy think he thought anything less of her and in fact he became someone she could lean on when things got tough. I just wished that Hayley would have talked to Brooks before leaving and later when she found her surprise, but I get why she didn't. I do have to give it to Hayley, she didn't try to lie about Micah to Brooks, just let him know he had a son, after he saw him and kinda welcomed into their lives. Brooks did well by stepping up right away and didn't yell or berate Hayley for not letting him know. It was also great that he quickly let Hayley know he was still interested in her and how he saw their future going. The accident at the end was so much, just plain bad luck. It sucked for what happened to Elsa, it sucked for how hurt Hayley was. But I loved how Brooks and the guys started to make changes so that Hayley would be able to live her life still, this was a speed bump, not the end of things. ...more

It was nice to have the 5 year time skip, to see Poppy start to come back to life. I thought it interesting that one way she chose to do that was through her dead husband's list. It was good and bad. More interesting was how she ran into Cole and how they struck up friendship that moved to more. Cole did a great job of being in the now with Poppy, while honoring the place Jamie had in her life. Towards the end it was very funny how all these intersections kept happening. From Belle to giving a person a chance.
