So I found a couple of TWD questionnaires online. I enjoy questionnaires.

Question 1: First character you fell in love with...

The answer is not who you thinkCollapse )

So a while back the timeline for my favourite zombie series came up in a convo between me and Snick. Then just recently I saw something on another website that made a VERY OBVIOUS timeline error -- and okay, it sort of drove me bananas -- so I was kind of compelled to write it all out. And hey, this could help with fic writing, too, right?

Contains general info about all episodes, thus spoilers for everything we've seen so far.

TWD Series TimelineCollapse )

So there you have it. These folks are kept BUSY. I had to skim through the last half of S2 to confirm some stuff, and I love that a. each episode basically starts where the last left off or very clearly the next day, b. the characters often TELL us how long it's been (ie. "I just found that girl's doll two days ago" or "I thought on it all night") which is awfully helpful in making sure that I was on track, and c. there are so many events that are under a time-crunch (getting back to Merle, getting to CDC to help Jim, finding Sophia) that it's impossible for a day to be MISSED. (Can't help contrasting this to QaF, where even Gus's mother didn't know how much time had passed. Ohhhh QaF.)

Yay awesome zombie show YAY.

What was I just saying about zombies and rollercoasters?!?!

Untitled

Six Flags opens "Apocalypse: The Last Stand" -- a ZOMBIE THEMED ROLLER COASTER.

WTF PEOPLE WTF.

From the article: "he standing coaster reaches speeds of up to 55 miles per hour while corkscrewing and ripping through 2,900 feet of track... which includes a 100 foot drop. The ground underneath the coaster is sprinkled with scenes from a zombie apocalypse. An abandoned trunk, a crashed airplane, broken glass and other debris reinforce the zombie factor."

Just kill me now.

I just joined The 100 Things Challenge at 100things_index, yay! The challenge is to blog 100 times about a subject you enjoy, and my subject is: zommmmbies! Of COURSE it is. I'll be talking about the zombie genre, my favourite books & movies, and there's also a couple of questionnaire-type thingys for The Walking Dead floating around out there that I can incorporate. YAY ZOMBIES.

So that dude who was chowing down on another guy's FACE? Yeah, they are calling it "excited delirium" brought on by drugs. Uh huh.

Also? There was another similar case last month in West Miami. ANOTHER naked guy. EATING another guy's NECK. WTF MIAMI WTF.

...I wonder if Reedus is as good with that crossbow as Daryl Dixon? *researches airfare to Georgia* ;)

A man in Florida -- wait, a NAKED man -- was shot and killed after eating another man's FACE. And yes, apparently the naked man did not stop even when the officer who responded SHOT HIM the first time. He had to shoot to kill before he stopped.

If they release new info tomorrow that it took a head shot to kill him, I'm stocking up on bottled water and planning my escape route. *nods*

how I found out about thisCollapse )

I knew I'd find a use for this icon some day.

HEY. Hi there. Hello. I feel like all I have done in the last six weeks is write fic. ... OH WAIT.

No actually, between Nano-ing and recovering from Nano-ing and drabble-ing and writing fic for sexy_right's upcoming Hard for the Holidays challenge, I've actually done other stuff, too. Work, for one. My friend Amy and I took over the Xmas Toy Drive this year, where we solicit cash donations so we can go out and buy toys for needy kids. At first it was super disheartening hearing "no no no" from everyone and their dog, but my drivers really pulled through and in the end we raised $1050! We filled a van with toys. The people at the shelter were so happy.

I am all done my Xmas shopping, wheeee! Everything is wrapped and gift-bagged, I made a few cards this year and mailed them out, and my Little Tiny Tree O' Joy is proudly displayed on my entertainment unit. I even got my first card (MUAH, Snick!) which features adorable Xmas kitties and a wish for a holiday free of Grubers. Yes, I would like to be terrorist and thief-free for the holidays. :)

OH. And my Christmas present to MEEEEE has arrived... a gorgeous Live Free or Die Hard poster. MMMMYES. It is hanging on the wall at my left side as I type. HI GIANT BRUCE. HELLO. *stares and gets distracted*

Also. About SPN, The Walking Dead, and Justin Long on The New GirlCollapse )

So that's what I've been up to. How YOU doin'?

OH. And please, no spoilers for SPN or The Walking Dead or the TWD comics. Just in case.
