The Dusk Ball (Japanese: ダークボール, Hepburn: Dark Ball) is a Poké Ball that has a higher catch rate in caves and at night.

- Diamond, Pearl: the Dusk Ball can be obtained in Oreburgh City or Solaceon Town at the Pokémon News Press.
- Platinum: the Dusk Ball can be obtained in Oreburgh City, Solaceon Town at the Pokémon News Press, or on Iron Island.
- HeartGold, SoulSilver: the Dusk Ball can be obtained in Goldenrod City as the second prize on Friday at the Goldenrod Department Store Lottery.
Generation V[]
- Black, White: the Dusk Ball can be obtained in Striaton City or Castelia City.
- Black 2, White 2: the Dusk Ball can be obtained in Striaton City, Mistralton City, or Twist Mountain.
Generation VI[]
- Pokémon X, Pokémon Y: the Dusk Ball can be obtained in Frost Cavern, Terminus Cave, or Victory Road.
- Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire: the Dusk Ball can be obtained on Route 120.
Generation VII[]
- Sun, Moon: the Dusk Ball can be obtained in Route 14, Diglett's Tunnel, Memorial Hill, Vast Poni Canyon, or Festival Plaza.
Trivia[]
- The Dusk Ball was called the Dark Ball in Japanese versions, but was renamed as Dusk Ball in English localizations in order to prevent confusion between the two.
- In Generations IV through VI, a Dusk Ball, when used at night or in a cave, always succeeds in catching any wild Pokémon with a catch rate of 219 or higher.
