The glide speed increases and there is no loss of altitude.

— Description, Sonic Frontiers[1]

The Infinite Glide[1] (無限滑空 Mugen kakkū?) is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is the upgraded version of the Glide used by Knuckles the Echidna.

Description[]

When performing the Infinite Glide, Knuckles pushes himself into a glide without losing altitude and surrounds himself with a fiery red aura.

In the gameplay of Sonic Frontiers, the Infinite Glide serves as an unlockable Skill for Knuckles to purchase from the Skills menu for 40 Skill Points in The Final Horizon. It can be used by holding B/Cross/A button while midair.

Unlike the normal Glide, the Infinite Glide can only be performed with the maximum number of Rings. Otherwise, the player will simply perform a normal Glide.

Overview[]

The Infinite Glide is a Skill that can be used for platforming and even exploration. It can help him scale climbable walls or get to platforms more efficiently than the normal Glide.

Prior to version 1.4.1, the move originally had a two-second-long start-up animation and does not maneuver Knuckles as much. In the current version, it no longer has a start-up animation and the controls are much more responsive along with Glide.
