Ochkanatlan, the Eternal Empire, also known as the Cinder City, was an ancient civilization once ruled by the tyrant Och-Kan somewhere north of the Flower-Feather Clan's village.

Story[]

History[]

Ochkanatlan was built by the followers of Xbalanque with Och-Kan as its king,[1] but it was abandoned at some point,[2] most likely some time after Och-Kan's overthrowing by the Scarlet-Eyed Hero and his party.

The city appears to be cursed, as Manqu explains that his tribe forbids him to go there, and many years ago, a group from the Saurian Relics Association was sent to investigate the city as part of their commission. The group vanished without a trace shortly after departing, and as such, the association steers clear of any matters related to Ochkanatlan.

The Traveler, Paimon and Little One learn about Ochkanatlan during their quest to remove the Flamelord's Blessing from the Saurian. After removing the Abyss-Corroded Golden Wolflord from the premises and touching a stone slate that had lit up following its defeat, the Traveler experienced fragmented memories. They learned that the dragon's white eyes were split in two by the sword of man, which was later divided up into four parts; one to the silver dragon's white claws, one to the resurrected corpse, one to a great monument, and one swallowed in the belly of the headstrong one. A white disc appeared before them, while another was obscured in shadow, covered by raised wings and a voice which proclaimed glory to the Eternal Empire of Ochkanatlan.[3]

Based on this, the Traveler believes that another Golden Entreaty could be found in the ruins of Ochkanatlan.[4]
