The best IVs for Legendary Byleth (F) are +Spd and -Def. Her entire kit is reliant on boosting her Spd as much as possble, thus the decision to take it as a boon.

Byleth's Def is very low, and she shouldn't be taking attacks from physical units in the first place so this is the best bane she can take.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Legendary Byleth (F) to +10. This is for the same reasons as above.

Legendary Byleth (F)'s unique skills require her to either initiate combat or be near her allies. These may restrict your movement and action plans for future turns if you want to keep these skills active.

Additionally, Byleth needs to win a Spd check to activate the Null Follow-Up effect of Goddess Bearer II. With common meta units having high speed, Byleth needs to be invested well enough to ensure she wins the Spd check every time.
