This is my grandson, Johnny... And he's the apple of my eye. Now, you take good care of him and show him our plantation. And if he gets into trouble, you see that he gets out of it.
―Doshy telling Toby to keep Johnny out of trouble.

Doshy[1] (also known Grandmother Doshy or Mrs. Doshy) is a character who was featured in the 1946 Disney film, Song of the South.

Mrs. Doshy shows a loving personality to her daughter Sally. Despite her kindness and loving personality, she occasionally shows a stubborn personality. She is also shown to be kind to her daughter telling her that her grandson Johnny would be desolate without Uncle Remus and his stories. Later after Johnny miraculously survives, she feels happy that her grandson regained his conscience where she feels happy that Uncle Remus saved her grandson's life.

Mrs. Doshy is first seen approaching her daughter, Sally, her son-in-law, John, and her grandson Johnny, happy to see them together while she introduces Toby to her grandson Johnny, telling him to take good care of him just as she continues talking with Sally and John which the carriage driver tells Mrs. Doshy where to put the carriage, just as she leads him on a good spot to place the carriage while Johnny and Toby explore her house curiously seeing a grandfather clock inside which Doshy allows them to hearmthe clock chiming. Later when her son-in-law John is leaving to catch a train to do his job, Mrs. Doshy bids a farewell to him much to Johnny feeling sad that his father is leaving. Later after Uncle Remus takes Johnny home for a bed, Doshy goes into a discussion with Uncle Remus, which the former tells him that it will take time for Johnny's mother to find out about the poem.

Later the next day, Sally discusses with her mother telling her that without Uncle Remus and his stories, Johnny would be utterly desolate, discussing about Johnny who must have friends, trying to give her daughter common sense which as her grandson arrives, she discusses with her mother that he is excited about having a birthday party which Sally plans for Johnny's party. Later, Mrs. Doshy is seen watching a group of children partying with each other while her daughter Sally sees her son inviting Ginny for the party. Further more at the end of the film, Mrs. Doshy approaches Uncle Remus who is entering her house and soon as he enters, he tells a story of Br'er Rabbit and the Laughing Place to Johnny where he regains his conscience. After Johnny survives, Doshy then happily notices Uncle Remus who helped restore Johnny back to life.
