Br'er Fox wanted to know why Br'er Wolf is sometimes allies with Br'er Rabbit, and Br'er Wolf told him that they are like cousins. Then Br'er Fox offered Br'er Wolf 50¢ if he could knock Br'er Rabbit's head clean off, something that Br'er Bear would do, and he agreed to his offer. Br'er Rabbit wanted to tell Br'er Wolf a secret, but Br'er Wolf wanted to tell Br'er Rabbit his secret first, so they both whispered and agreed to their plan. Br'er Wolf then hit Br'er Fox's head with the club that he gave to him and told him that he could keep the 50¢ because Br'er Rabbit offered him a dollar.
Donald Duck comic[]
Br'er Rabbit follows Br'er Wolf up to his lair and knows he has to play the hero for real as he gets a fire going, finding a rope to use for his next plan as he runs up to a tree above the cave, hearing the wolf taking care of the pot. Br'er Wolf asks if Molly Cottontail likes carrots like he does.....with rabbit stew. Before he can get his paws on her, he hears Br'er Rabbit singing a song and playing the harmonica.
Br'er Rabbit Gets Tricked[]
Br'er Wolf appears in the Wonderful World of Reading book where he grabs Br'er Rabbit, capturing him into his house. He brags that he is smarter than Br'er Rabbit. In order for himself to get himself untied, Br'er Rabbit began to sing, impressing Br'er Wolf for his song. When Br'er Rabbit wanted to show him a dance going to the song, he asked Br'er Wolf to untie the rope for him. After untying the rope he put on Br'er Rabbit, the latter danced out of Br'er Wolf's house, suddenly tricking him and escaping from his house. He does not appear again afterwards aside from the part where Br'er Rabbit recapped to Aunt Mammy Bammy of how he escaped from Br'er Wolf, Br'er Bear, and Br'er Fox respectively.
