Lucy and Jude's romance was sweet and fierce at the same time. All consuming and I couldn't think of anything else at all since I first started it.
I heard the story was intense, and I knew it was probably a tearjerker, but I had no idea how much. I had no idea the ride I was going to have right from page one. And the twists and turns along the way, I so did not predict the direction it was going to go. And it was Amazing!!

I didn't agree with somethings that happened and the direction of the story. I'm not going to list all the things I didn't like the list would be just waayyy too long. I really wanted to like this one. :( ...more

Sometimes though, throughout all the books I wished I could just reach in slap Christian sometimes cause he just didn't get it, that he could love and be loved, but I still loved his character. I liked how it ended and I really liked the insight James showed us with Shades of Christian when he was little and then later when we got to see his first glimpse of Ana. ...more

I don't think I've ever read a book that left me with no air in my lungs to breathe with when I was done with it. The ending was so freaking huge there are no words in the English language to describe it. You'll just have to buy it and read it, which I VERY VERY HIGHLY suggest!!!!...more

I loved it!!! OMG! Colleen Hoover is friggn' brillant! Lake was stubburn and head strong, but she was also fragile. Will was magnificent!!! So sweet and charming and so funny! The romance was tender and endearing and I was hanging on Every. Single. Word.
The story was just awesome. It was heartbreaking and just down right sad! It reduced me to a puddle snotty tissues and tear stained cheeks. The poetry was just completely amazing! I'm still reeling from the awesomeness of it all! I think this the first book where I actually had a happy cry at the end!! :)...more

I loved the characters! Julie is funny and compassionate and I loved how she was with Celeste! How she helped her grow and see things differently. Matt! Matt was awesome! He was sweet and had a heart of gold! I loved his T-shirts!

I loved everything about it, the characters, the story, and the romance. Vane is so sweet and SO hilarious! I laughed at him so many times that I lost count! Audra was a little stiff, but with what she had to endure as a child growing up without a father and a mother who is emotionally distant at best!
I love mythology and I love it even more when an author takes legends and twists and bends the story to make it their own. Shannon Messenger did not disappoint! Lots of action, heart stopping moments and swoon worthy romance! So good! :D...more

The writing is really just beautiful and so profound and it moved me in a way that I will never be the same. I love when I find a book like this, one that makes me look at life differently. I can say that there are 2 other books, Easy and Slammed, that have made me feel this way after reading them and they are the reason why I read!!!
I loved the characters and their story is one of heartbreak and tragedy. Two people, Josh and Nastya/Emilia/Sunshine...I loved loved loved that he called her Sunshine!!...who are so broken and afraid to trust, to love and to let go of their fear that and the emotions are rolling of the pages and I have no words to describe how awesome and just utterly beautiful their story truely is.

The story and characters were awesome, Roar was so funny, and Perry was sweet. Aria at first was unsure of herself and I loved watching her character grow strong and capable, able to take care of herself.
The things that happened at the end just broke my heart...yes I cried, like a baby and I prob will not be able to think about them without wanting to cry for at least a few days...I couldn't believe the things that were happening, (view spoiler)[ Aria finding her mom dead, Vale betraying his tribe, Perry killing Vale (hide spoiler)]. But still I really liked it and at least book 2 Through the Ever Night is out in Jan 2013, so YAY!!!!

Re-read 4/22/14
I loved it still! I forgot how much I enjoyed these characters. How much I loved seeing Roar and Perry teasing each other and most of all, Perry and Aria relationship grow from them hating wach other to something sweet and tender.
I didn't have the same emotions as I did before, but it still hurt when Aria and Perry (view spoiler)[learned the truth of their loved ones. (hide spoiler)]...more

I just didn't like somethings about the story, especially the bet! I hated the bet! I mean I just didn't get it! Hunter bets Taylor that at the end of the semester than if she can hate him or love him then he will move out? And they had only known each other for maybe an hour and that's a stretch!
So not liking that part of the plot didn't set me up to like the characters or even the romance. I thought the characters were inconsistent and all over the place and the romance was just awkward. I didn't like Hunter talking about how he wanted to sleep with Taylor every chance her got and even asking his friends is they would do her! UGH! Gross!
I will say that I liked Hunter's little cousin Harper, she was very sweet. Also the banter between them got easier I guess later in the book and Hunter turned out to be really sweet. Also I liked Taylor and Tawny's (view spoiler)[ speeches to Travis at his parole hearing. (hide spoiler)] I really wanted to like this one, I found the characters annoying and the story too slow. I loved it!! I loved the writing! I loved how it reminded me of If I Stay and Where She Went!!!! I even read the teeny tiny, little bitty excerpt for the next book, which I don't normally do just because I don't want to torture myself until the next book comes out!! But! I needed to read it, because this book consumed me so much that I had to absorb everything I could get!!!
I loved Allyson's character! She is so sweet and her story made me want to go on a trip and have accidents!! And get lost!! And discover things about myself that I didn't even know were there!! Their romance was perfect!! Willem made me swoon!! I loved that he opened doors for her that she didn't know were there! I loved how he awakened something in her that made her think differently about her life and about everything!!
This will be one of my favorite stories and I will miss them until Oct comes so I can read from Willem's POV!!! Oh!!!! I can't wait!! :D...more

Ella was realatable, her story was heart wrenching and for a young girl to go through some of the stuff she did, well she was stronger in the end. Micha was a sweetheart, at first I wasn't sure if I was going to like him but buy the first few chapters he changed my mind. Also I love that (view spoiler)[ she didn't kiss, hook-up with or anything with Ethan, she only had feels for him...which is still wrong, but it wasn't the same old story, "I cheated with my best friends boyfriend". It showed a different side of things, especially coming from the cheater side. I'm a firm believer in you can't chose who your heart chooses to fall for, you can only choose how to act on those feelings. And the fact that Ethan is just as much to blame and Clementine and then Amanda is still with him?!?! Well what does that say about Amanda, I mean I wasn't even that upset when the author didn't even give me closure when Clementine hadn't even said he peace and hashed out the whole mess with Amanda cause I thought Clementine was better off without her, I mean what kind of friend does that. I don't I guess she believed Ethan and his lies. OK sorry for my rant (hide spoiler)].
James was so sweet and charming and he was just what Clementine needed to get out her mental play-back of the whole mess that she made with Ethan and to start forgiving herself. My favorite character was Clementine's sister Olive, she was so sweet and adorable, always saying the right thing for her big sis to help her get over her mistake. I really liked this book....more

I love the way it was written, love the charcters, Cecily, Trey, Hannah and Denn even though he annoyed me to no end at first...but in the end I'm glad he recognized and admitted he was a fool...but especially Adrianne. I loved her character most of all, she had the biggest heart, so sweet and not a pushover or weak because she forgave her aunt for being a bitter, nasty old woman, or her mother for checking out when she should have been there for Adrianne after her father died, or even stupid Marcus after all he did to her. No she forgave them cause she was the bigger person, the stronger person.
That is why I loved this book so much and I wish Nielson would do like a prequel maybe of Lady Lauretta's experience or even one for Cecliy, years later when she is of age to marry or just another book cause I loved her writing, how it flowed and how easy it was to get lost in her story, and it was a fast read too....more

It all seems so logical that living at the bottom of the sea would do that to a child's developing brain and then that in turn would give them abilities that it almost seems scary that it could really happen. And the world that Falls described was so vivid and beautiful, I really wouldn't mind living there.
The characters were great, Ty and Gemma were relatable and at the end my heart broke for Gemma and everything she went through and not have the happy ending she wanted. This was a very difficult book to read and it's one that I find hard to say 'Yes! I loved it!!' The writing was beautiful, heartbreaking and profound and I have never had so many favoite quotes from a book that I had a hard time picking my most favorite one.
It made me see things like illness and death from differnt perspectives. Of the person that is ill, from the parents side (which was really hard being a mother and I hope to never ever go through that with one of my children), and also from the POV of that person watching someone you love fighting a never ending battle.
I grew so attached to the characters that I laughed out loud at Gus, Hazel and Isaac and I also sobbed like a child at the first sign of something bad happening and at the end! And I'm still a mess! I knew going in that it wasn't going to end well, nope! Definitely not a happy ending, but life isn't fair and
