It really doesn't reveal much about Kage's past, infact very little.[image]
Apart from the one-liner in the last chapter which left me gasping, not because I think Kage is horrible but because I have to wait for the next book to know what really happened. Who does that??? [image] Maris Black.
Highly recommended story till now! Though first couple of chapter with Kage's pov might be a little intense and especially if you don't love Kage as blindly as I do, you might find it boring. But don't dnf, it will eventually pick up a bit...I am sure 3rd book will be awesome....more

Brilliant!!! It's a brilliant story, no doubt about it in my mind. For me, everything was done perfectly in this story and there are several, great reviews you can find which will give you the best insight of the story. My personal favorite Baba ♥♥♥ Tyler, Marcus, Archer, Dean, Adrian, Dan & Hunter's review . After reading so many great reviews I feel the story, its dialogs, the protagonist, sub-plot, narration....you name it and it's dealt with so my lazy ass wanted to take a break from ranting and, to be frank, this story left me speechless. But where my voice failed me my shameful curiosity took over and some question and I decided bring them up.
1.What is autism?
2.How many of us actually tried to find out about it?
3.How come we care enough to learn first aid for all kind of medical ailment and not learn how to deal with autistic fits?
4.How many of us can actually stop by a person who actually have to deal with autistic kids or friends or relative and impart suggestion which might help them?
These are only few question that gnawed me while reading this story, though I got some of my answers, but I plan to find out more by reading, some googling as I am as Ignorant as the next person and plan to rectify that.So that next time I read a story for entertainment purpose I am not shame-faced and doubt author's knowledge about the subject. Can decide for myself, how much is the fact and how much just a hopeful thinking.
Most importantly when my conscience raise these questions I can answer them, with a clean conscious...I have done my part and ask others have you?
Next time when my sister who is a teacher in a Private school teaching Primary classes, shares with me an experience of an autistic student, how the parents, as well as the school administration didn't know how to deal with it and suggested some special institution for the Child,I can educate her on the subject how to help the kid and maybe the kid don't have to lose normalcy of daily life and friends.
It's hard to mold adults sometimes but I think children are like liquid they take the shape of the vessel they are poured in.We can not only give a special child to deal with normality that way but teach the normal children to accept them without fearing or worse showing disgust or simply avoid them when they become an adult.
I really don't have words good enough to describe the story and stealing some of the author's line from the book.
“Morgan may be autistic, but he is a normal man with a mental condition, not a mental condition who is a man.”
“The light is a funny thing, Grant. We think it shows us what we need to see, but in reality, it blinds us. That’s why I brought you here. I wanted you to see me.”
“Here was a man who defied all odds, lived by himself, worked, created beautiful art. A complex mind stumped by some of the simplest tasks. If he could, he would keep trying until there was only absolute failure or success. How many people could say that?”
Standing ovation for Lori,Grant and definitely Morgan for keep trying and not giving up. [image]
But mostly to the author who not only created a fantastic story but a thought-inducing,hope evoking story with great deal of suspense, romance, hot sizzling sex (view spoiler)[A unique body bending, acrobatic hot scene made * my jaw drop,* kind.Which I can swear I did not read anywhere before.Curious, read the book and you'll know. Yes,yes I know I am being a hypocrite here,as I am one of those guilty reader who swoons over jerks but I must confess,Joey our captor/Kidnapper in this story did not induce any kind of momentary lapse in my judgement. The only feeling I had for him is hate.
More brownie points for the Author for making the story realistic. Not using some sex god as a kidnapper.
So now the story
This story is about a kid Mark who is kidnapped at sixteen, gets manipulated by his captor to be a subservient. Nothing new about it,I did read several stories with same plot line,so what was different with this one? Let me get this straight first, the captor who are basically jerks in some dark stories are mostly packed with a good physic, polished background and really hot oozing sensuality which by the end of the story I, along with the victim fall in love with. But in this case it was a reality check, the captor was a old ass with all the attribute that makes my skin crawl and thinking of him in dominant action, makes bile rise from my stomach. Complete [image]
That is exactly how a victim feels when they are kidnapped and forced. The author have great potential,she/he didn't drift much away from reality and sugarcoat the whole ordeal like some do.There was always mention of a uncomfortable feel in Aiden aka Mark's conscious,no matter how much the sex was good. Though Salim lacked finesse and missed out on little details.I am looking forward to read more of Salim's work. I would love to read a following up story on Mark and may be Skyler too.(Mark's sexual orientation was determined for him and not by him so I really don't want to couple him up.)
This story reminded me of couple of my favorite series, one of them being Find You in the Dark seriesSo what really wasIt's actually 3.5 stars for me.
This story reminded me of couple of my favorite series, one of them being Find You in the Dark seriesSo what really was different in this one was both the protagonists were victims of society and circumstances which landed them in an institution, Hartfield.
A touching, beautiful story of two broken soul finding purpose to live and love in the most unconventional place as I would prefer to call Hartfield rather than hopeless which it is not.According to me unless and until a mental or physical institution is run by villains and corrupted people they are a hopeful place. The most applauded fact about the story for me was how the author managed to write about the mental state of a suicidal person, as well as a person left behind by the victim who succeed in it.
Beware of some serious tear jerking moments.
I really don't wanna go in detail as the blurb covers it all.
A perfect book to pick when you are feeling compassionate.

Very enjoyable read if you are looking for something light.
The fear a lion shifter has to live with if mated to a mouse....(giggled for 5 mins straight before acknowledging the seriousness of the matter)
I only got about ten feet before I froze and scanned the yard. Nothing would make this worse except if I stepped on my own mate.
“Ant? Ant, where are you?” I cried out as my gaze darted all over the grass.

When I read a story I want a happy grin not think about asshole parents who are really a curse to our society. To realize, I am one of many who failed to rescue all these abused children doesn't fill me with joy.Reality bites and it bites hard. ...more

The writing was awesome, dialogs heartfelt and not cheesy kind but the one you would like to save up.I must say I became a puppet in the author's hand and he successfully provoked all kind of feelings he wanted us to feel along with Ben & Nic. [image]
The best feeling of all was falling in love as Ben did for Sir Nikolas Mikkelsen, but Nikolas is living a lie. So now about the characters,Kael was as usual a jerk but a bit softer version and completely in love with Angel.Kinder to others and more tolerant too. Angel [image]Can a name be more cheesy for a twink...acted brave in this story but became irritatingly sissy when in front of daddy aka Kael. Some new characters are introduced in this story which made the plot interesting to read.Though while reading this story I could recall lots of movies with similar plots but it did have a new feel to it as the author put little unexpected twist and turns to the plot....more
