Adira might have been your typical alpha but there was something about her that just kept drawing me to here. Even when I wanted to strangle her for not taking some of Nyla's thoughts into consideration but hey, that is the name of the game in this world baby.
Nyla had been through so much and for her to find some semblance of happiness after all of that it just made my insides all warm and gushy.
And I've got to note HOW & WHY is this is my first FF omegaverse novel?! I mean come on!! I need so many more of them now.
Sullyn has a new fan, and I can't wait to read more!! ...more

"You're only saying that because you're written to be an overprotective, obsessive alpha douchebro."
Brad is generally the character I loathe in most books but for some reason he was almost endearing in this one. Yeah, he was a dude bro who was way too obsessed with his fraternity and keg stands. You can't expect perfection, but L.C. Davis had me feeling a bit bad for the guy who just wanted to apologize to his brother and make his way home.
And Raul was the typical Alpha shifter ladies like me drool over. I think one of the best parts was that even though Brad was a guy he was still treating him like a damsel in distress.
"The guy could give Fabio an inferiority complex."
I was looking for a good book that would make me giggle and take my mind off the heavy and Bro and the Beast succeeded but now I am sitting on a cliffhanger and have to know what else in store for Brand and Raul!! ...more

SO MANY TEARS!!
This book was gut wrenchingly beautiful. The heartache came from all different directions and in many different forms. I was sobbing for Grey and his nephews, for Jamie with all this strength and then Rohan. Gods, he was the epitome of strength and resilience but when he broke it was so heavy. I've never wanted to a hug a character more.
Even with all that heartbreak there was so much love and light in this book. For a book to be that heavy the love that flowed through these pages was immense. Not just the love that comes when you realize you've lost someone but the love that is constant always. The love you know will never fade no matter what happens because these people are yours. They might not be your blood, but they are yours.
I've got to stop this review here. I have so much to say but go in blind. Don't let a review spoil this book for you. If I would have known how this book was going to go, I wouldn't have read it. Grab the emotional support vodka, invest in some Kleenex and grab the blanket because once you start you won't be able to stop until the end....more

Holy lord this book! Alison Aimes where were you all those times I said "Meh, Aliens aren't really my thing." let me tell you, they are now!!
When I say this book has everything....
- A deliciously HOT alien mafia boss - A heroine who doesn't know exactly how much power she wields - Fated mates - Knotting - Murder, betrayal, secrets & the PLOT TWISTS - and of course, the steam was *chefs kiss*
Alexi Skolov really was the beautiful broken beast hero we all crave. From the moment he met Keira he was so concerned with keeping her safe. That was even before the feelings started getting involved. His beast even recognized something in her that he couldn't resist. There were so many times my heart ached for him and the events of his past. By no means was he weak though, he was every bit the beast you would expect from an alien planet.
Keira Sartin was always told she was nothing, less than nothing. She was never good enough for a good life, but Alexi changed her story. What was supposed to be one night ends up becoming the turning point for her. Seeing Keira go from this battered woman who had to mind her tongue to the strong woman by the side of Alexi was the cherry on top of a perfect story.
Narration people. Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke. If I have said it once I will say it again but these two are a match made in narration heaven. The way they play off one another can really be heard and at this point if they are narrating together, I will be listening. I thought I had heard Jason Clarke in all his narration glory, but this role was made for him. With all the growls Alexi tended to make because of his beast. Good heavens, I was in a state in the best way.
While I should have started with book one of the series (don't worry I will be going back to the beginning), I didn't feel like I was lost at all. Alison did an exceptional job of making this a complete standalone while also bringing in what I would expect are aspects from the previous books. Bravo to you babe because that is hard in Sci-Fi. ...more

Roe Horvat did it again with this deliciously sweet omegaverse story with so much heat you will be begging for a drink of water. Carter was just nonstop adorable from the moment he met Richard. The older distinguished man with his suits and slightly greying temples entranced him from the first moment he laid eyes on him and his puppy. Not wanting to make things awkward Carter is determined to keep his relationship professional with his boss. His only job is to walk Noodle and make sure he is taken care of. When he is days away from his second heat the person, he was supposed to trust to guide him through it bailed. Now, he has no choice but to ask his entirely too desirable boss for help.
Richard can't help but cherish the friendship he has built with Carter. Over their discussions of animals, his career and Carter's schooling he is starting to feel something for the much younger man that he isn't sure he should be feeling. After wasting five years on the wrong omega, he doesn't ever want to be in that situation again. Except Carter is different and with having agreed to guide him through his heat Richard knows that their time together is going to make his feelings grow stronger.
Enjoy this delightful morsel with cuddles, kisses and seriously steamy moments from an author who does omegaverse like no one else. You will swoon, you might get a tooth ache from the sweetness, but you will definitely need to cool down after some of these scenes....more

Burke is the kind of character I am immediately drawn to. Scarred, but oh so gentle. No one can see anything but the giant man with the scarred face and body until that one person. In this case, Emerson.
A boy with a past trying to escape the harsh winter flees to the one place where he has ever received any kindness. The pub with the beautiful, scarred man who has done more for him than anyone but his best friend. When his first heat hits he expects to be left to his own devices, but Burke can't stay away. Before either of them knows it there is more involved than just getting Emerson through his heat.
As with most omegaverse stories this was a fast passed instalove story with more than enough heat in more than one way. *WINK WINK* ...more

I've heard a name for a while now in John Solo's Facebook group, but I had never read one of her books. Most if not all of her books are set in the Omegaverse which is another newish area for me but since John narrates a lot of her books, I wanted to try one.
This book was packed with a lot more emotions than I was expecting. Cyrus had been abused practically his whole adult life and he never thought he would get out. When he finally gets the chance to get out, he is faced with yet another obstacle. Not being able to give his new Alpha a baby might be the thing that really makes Cyrus world crumble for good.
Kyle was a wonderful Alpha, but he couldn't get out of his own head until he almost lost Cyrus for good. I wanted to smack him upside his gorgeous head and tell him "GET YA MAN" but alas, it is only a book, and I could not do that.
Looking forward to reading a full-length novel by Victoria Sue because one of my only complaints about this book is that I wish it was longer. ...more

On the flip side the surprising tender moments between Daniel & Walter had me tearing up.
Omegaverse stories are not my general cuppa but when I need something a bit different or a distraction, I know I can dive into one of these and be completely consumed by this fictional world the author has created.
Walter was not the Alpha I was expecting, and Daniel wasn't the Omega was I expecting either. The reversal during the heat kind of surprised me but I found that I really enjoyed it. Neither man was completely locked in the role that was expected of them and that really enhanced the story for me. It showed a softer side to Walter that I wasn't expecting. You notice quickly that Walter is rather closed off on his emotions and because of his condition he thinks that he is not worthy of love. Daniel was able to bring out another side of him that I don't think we would have seen without that reversal.
While I adored Daniel there was just something about him that I could never quite connect to. Walter was what made this story for me and seeing him completely change from the person we first meet to the person at the end of the book it left me awestruck.
Roe never lacks in the steam department but in this book, I saw a different side to him that I didn't get in the other story that I read by him. It has me open to the possibility of reading more of his books....more

I hate saying this, but I didn't enjoy this one as much as I was hoping I would. I adored Graham but Cooper bothered me. Not only was he a little too invested in his mother's love life he was putting far too much of his issues on Graham when Graham didn't deserve it. I get it, you've been traumatized in the past and you're scared to let someone in because of fear but he had already made his mind up about Graham after one night and I just couldn't get behind that no matter how hard I tried.

His Patient Bear was a sweet story of the most patient bear that ever lived because he really was to handle Nash with such care and understanding. There were moments where I felt like Nash was going a bit too far in his insecurities but at the same time, I get it. When people are constantly second guessing your decisions, it makes you feel like you aren't capable. Even though Austin had his own problems being the mayor and having anxiety he really did do everything he could to make sure his baby and Nash were taken care of and that was just sweet perfection!!

Gabe had always wanted to find his mate but the moment he senses him it as is if his world has turned on its axis because his mate isn't a shifter, he is human. Having a human mate can come with its own set of problems but when you are the Alpha you have to think of more than just yourself. Not only does Gabe have his family to worry about he also has the town his people come from to worry about. Letting his emotions get the best of him could mean trouble for everyone.
Kian is all alone with no family and nothing keeping him in Philly he takes a job his friend offers him and moves to Montana. As if a new job and a living in a new state isn't enough to have on your plate being attracted to your friends’ brother who also happens to be your boss is its own set of problems. Kian feels something intense for Gabe, but he can't get a good read on the grumpy man or what that might mean for his future in Montana.
Gabe immediately recognizes that Kian is his mate but how can he navigate a life with his mate when his mate doesn't even know that shifters even exist? Kian and Gabe skirt around their feelings until one explosive encounter leaves both men reeling for days until a choice between never or forever is the only option these two men have.
This was an incredible start to Skye R. Richmond's new Bears of Asheville series, and I am already half in love with all of Gabe's brothers and can’t wait to see what the rest of the series has in store for these men. ...more

This was my first book in any kind of "omegaverse”, so I am not sure if that is the norm or if because it was a erotica type story that was why but the intensity of the sex was always at level 1000%.
Honestly, I don't know even know what to say. I really liked both Travis & Micah and I felt their connection from the start then you add in the douche Micah's dad wanted him to get with it really enhanced the story.
You really don't have any angst because baby you are going to get the HOT factor almost instantly.
I can't say this will be my last book in any kind of omegaverse but I don't see it being something I partake in all the time. Curiosity is getting the better of me dammit and I do want to see what this whole world is all about....more
