Kirby, the Master of Mouthfuls! (Multimouth Treasure for short) is a stage in Treasure Road, found in Redgar Forbidden Lands. This stage tasks Kirby with completing a challenge revolving around the use of many different Mouthful Modes, traversing a long gauntlet of challenges built around them. The stage is unlocked upon rescuing 45 Waddle Dees in Redgar Forbidden Lands, and is the last Treasure Road stage that can be completed before the end of the main game. It is marked by three stars of difficulty and has a stage time of four minutes (three minutes and 30 seconds in Wild Mode), with a target time of two minutes and 45 seconds.
Stage details[edit]
This stage is by far the longest and most complicated of the Treasure Road stages, involving six different sections using different Mouthful Modes. For the first, Kirby needs to use Cone Mouth to pierce a series of water pipes and climb up the platforms. From there, he needs to use Vending Mouth to break open some barricades and defeat a wave of enemies. After that, he obtains Ring Mouth and uses it to boat across a moat of lava, then continues on foot to hit Windmill Switches to make spinning platforms rise up. From there, he uses Water-Balloon Mouth to clean up some lava puddles and wash away some Gabons. After that, he uses Scissor-Lift Mouth to traverse a path of falling icicles and hit switches along the way. Finally, he uses Car Mouth to drive across a perilous course lined with lava puzzles and ice patches. At the end of all this, Kirby knocks down a wooden palisade and can retrieve the Rare Stone, along with a lot of Star Coins.
Tips[edit]
The following are tips on how to attain the target time for this stage:
- Generally, Kirby should not focus on enemies and should keep moving forward instead.
- The main exceptions are the Phanta that appear during the Ring Mouth portion, and potentially the Mumbies during the Vending Mouth section.
- On the last water pipe with Cone Mouth, Kirby can start to spit out the cone as he is being propelled upward with the water.
- The vending machine has more than enough soda cans, so Kirby does not need to worry about running out of them.
- In the Windmill Switches portion of the Ring Mouth section, Kirby shouldn't try to rush forward and take things slow instead. While this seems counterproductive, falling into the lava will take him back to the start of the section, costing a lot of time.
- It may be optimal to damage-boost through the large icicle during the Scissor-Lift Mouth section.
