Update Aquatic
The Update Aquatic is the name for Java Edition version 1.13[1] and an upcoming Bedrock Edition version; upcoming major updates set to be released in Q2 2018.[2][3]
The official name for the update, the Update Aquatic, was revealed on November 18, 2017, during the MineCon Earth livestream, at which time it was to be released as 1.14.

- Bubble columns, created by magma blocks or soul sand in water.

- 15 new items:
- Trident
- Scute
- Turtle shell

- Potion of the Turtle Master
- Arrow of the Turtle Master
- Debug stick [Java Edition only]
- Spawn eggs for turtles, phantoms, cod, salmon, and puffer fish.
- 3 fish buckets: cod, salmon, and puffer fish
- New enchantments: Loyalty, Impaling, Riptide, and Channeling
- New mobs:
- New generated structures:
- Shipwrecks[4], which generate on the ocean bed and contain treasures.
- Icebergs[4], which generate in frozen ocean biomes.
- Underwater ruins, which generate in ocean biomes
- Underwater caves and ravines
- New biomes:
- Warm, lukewarm, and cold variants of ocean and deep ocean biomes, as well as a deep frozen ocean biome
- Divided the End up into separate biomes:

- Changed pumpkin texture, and renamed the old texture to "carved pumpkin", available when a pumpkin is right-clicked with shears.[Java Edition only]
Changes
- Magma blocks generate in ocean biomes, causing downward bubble columns.
- Water will be able to be placed in the same space as semi-transparent blocks.[4]
- Dropped items in water will now float towards the surface.
- Replaced and changed many commands.[Java Edition only]
- The flattening.[Java Edition only]
- New horse model.
- Item frames can be placed on the floor and the ceiling.
- Squids now shoot ink when attacked.[Java Edition only]
- From Bedrock Edition
- The player's oxygen no longer generates instantly when out of water.
