The Library is here to support you with your learning throughout your time at Northumbria and we provide a range of help and support to enable you to get ahead with your studies.
Here's what you need to know to get started:
City Campus Library is the largest of our libraries, located off the quad at City Campus West, and houses collections that support all of the subjects that are taught at City Campus. In recent years there have been a number of projects to refurbish the library and create new learning spaces, including a new reading room, a dedicated space for students on taught Masters courses, a Research Commons to support researchers and academic staff, and a Student Skills Centre.
Coach Lane Library is based on the east side of Coach Lane Campus, and houses collections that support all of the subjects that are taught at Coach Lane Campus. The library provides a range of learning spaces over three floors.
The Law Practice Library is located on the first floor of the CCE1 Building (Business & Law). It houses a reference collection of law resources, including textbooks, law reports, and journals. The collection primarily supports the Legal Practice Course and the Bar Course through practitioners’ texts, Law reports, statutes and statutory instruments, and encyclopaedias, as well as through a smaller number of subject law reports, print journals, and key textbooks. More law resources are available on floor 3 of City Campus Library, including textbooks you can borrow.
The University Library Digital Commons is located on the ground floor of Northumberland building. It provides high spec PCs and macs, which have a greater range of specialist software available for use.
