Things wouldn't get any better since during a fight against one of his villains Gwen was killed, since Spider-Man was unable to save her from falling to her death, leaving Peter devastated.

As he was saving the multiverse, Parker would also try to balance his superhero life, with his responsibilities as both a father and a member of the Spider-Society. However things would drastically change once he along the rest of the Society wasn't able to prevent the destruction of a whole universe, which led to Miguel become more angry and guilt driven, following those events Spider-Man and the rest of the Spider-Society would found out about the Canon Events for which them make an wow to avoid the destruction of more universes by making sure the Canon Events gets full fill as they were forbidden to visiting the variant of Miles from 1610, including Peter.

Parker meeting more variants of himself

After a few hours, Peter and the rest finally get to their destination, with a scare Peter not wanting to do this but being forced by the alternate Gwen to not go away since they already talk about. Sometime later, May emotionally open the door managing to go to Peter, whose get sentimental after seeing that this May was very similar to his own despite the difference, after an heartbreaking promptly took them to Peter's shed where they soon met three more displaced Spider-People: Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker, and Spider-Ham.

The other Spider-People were doubtful of his preparedness, however, and tried to convince Peter of this. An upset Miles left while the group continued to formulate their plan. Peni was able to make a new goober, and when Miles returned to the next day, it was with warnings that the Prowler was his Uncle Aaron and with Kingpin and his lackeys in tow.[1]

During the fight Spider-Man started to fight against that world's Prowler, the fight scaled quickly to the point Spider-Man would be trow by Doctor Octopus to the car of an old lady, thing which Spider-Man would apologized to her just to be trow back into the battle by Doc Ock sometime later.

Sometime later after those events, Peter witness how was Miles was cornered by the Prowler, who was later shot by Kingpin. After that, Peter would punch Fisk avoiding that he shot Miles too. Peter would yell at Miles to run out of the place, thing that Miles would obey.[1][9]

After those events each Spider-People would say their goodbyes with Peter telling Miles that they were going to continue with the ambush on the collider, and that he was going to stay behind to destroy the machine.

Peter suiting up

A sad Peter suits up in order to shut off the collider

Miles protested this plan, stating that he felt ready and could shut down the collider himself since he belonged in that universe and so that Peter didn't have to die. After that, Peter tried to coax Miles' powers out of him, hoping against hope that he could prove himself ready so he could join them on the mission, but when he was proven unable to control his powers, Peter webbed Miles up and gagged him and took the goober. After Peter rejected Miles' plan, Miles asked when he would know that he was a real Spider-Man, Peter told Miles that becoming Spider-Man simply took a "leap of faith" before gagging and webbing up Miles in the door and left the room to the disappointment of Morales.[1]

Peter along with the rest of the Spider-Gang would walk away from the place, with Parker putting on his mask and starting his plan to return the rest of the Spider-Gang's members to their home, on the way they would take a subway to Fisk Tower, until once they reached their destination Peter and the rest of the The Spider-Gang hit the roof while they looked at the building, realizing that there was a party commemorating the death of their counterpart from this world. Peni would tell him and the rest of the Spider-Gang that Fisk's elevator leads to a secret floor that is where the collider tests take place.

Spider-Man encounters an alternate Mary Jane Watson

Using this information to their advantage, Peter and the rest disguise themselves as waiters so they can head to the elevator without arousing suspicion. Along the way, Peter would look at this world's version of Mary Jane Watson, being stunned by her presence, deciding to talk to her as a way of apologizing, knowing that he would not be able to speak to his MJ again once the mission was over. Gwen, who noticed what Peter was trying to do, decided to stop him by telling him that she knew how he felt but that she is not his Mary Jane. Even so, Peter would not listen to Gwen's warnings, deciding to talk to her even if it is only for a moment. However, once he met her in front of her, Peter was speechless due to her beauty.

Spider-Man attempts to apologized to MJ

Mary Jane Parker would ask Peter if he could bring a bread to her table, since hers is already over. With a bit of guilt or having abandoned her MJ, Peter would apologize for everything he has done to her using the pretext of the bread as a way of apologized to her for not giving her the life, or in this case the bread she deserves. This caused Mary to be confused, which caused Gwen to intervene telling her that they are going to give her bread right away while Peter looked at her with love. After that, Gwen took Peter out of the place, asking if he's okay, to which Peter accepts, for which Gwen tells him that they won't give her the bread.[1]

They eventually made their way to Fisk's private elevator that led directly to the collider, just before they could enter the elevator, Spider-Man would get distracted by a picture of this world's Kingpin and his family getting surprised, Gwen would call him out for which he accepts entering at the place. Arriving to where it were the new version of the Super-Collider, Spider-Man and the rest of the Spider-Gang would figured out that they had just come when it was during one of its test.

Olivia Octavius vs Peter B

Parker at Olivia's mercy

After noticing that Peter would suffered another glitch effect causing him to mourn on pain, the alternate Gwen would noticed this and worried try to convinced him of letting her do it instead in order to avoid Parker's impeding death if he do it. But Parker respectfully declines the offer, telling her that he already made up his mind. Deciding to crawl into to the Collider, Spider-Man began to repeat to the Spider-Gang the plan. With Parker preparing to insert the goober into the collider as a way to send the others home and later destroy the machine once and for all. Just as Spider-Man was about to ultimately stopped the collider, as well as sending the other home, Parker feels his spider-sense vibrating, thing that was felt by the rest of the Spider-Gang, just as they figured out that they we're not alone the Spider-Gang would be attacked by Kingpin's men, with Peter fighting Olivia. Outnumbered, most of them would be defeated with Peter was at Olivia's mercy at her tentacles, asking if Parker had any last words, Spider-Man would jokingly said to Olivia if she had a note and a pen in order to think about.

Parker realizing that he is not scared of being a dad anymore

Just at it seems to be the end, the tentacles of Olivia began to get out of control managing to hit her, surprised Peter would end from being confused to be exited when in turn out it was Miles, using a brand new suit as he had finally become Spider-Man after mastering his abilities. In the moment, a proud Peter began to praise Miles thanks for what it did to the latter's amusement. With Parker at the end wondering out loud that he may actually consider and started to want the idea of having kids. However Peter's loud tough were interrupted by Olivia with Parker preparing to fight alongside Miles and Gwen, just as they managed to defeated her she started to get up until she get hit by a truck surprising them.

Peter do not want to go home

Peter argues with Miles

After the rest of the Spider-Team manages to defeated the rest of Kingpin's goons, Peter still insist on sending all to their respective realities until he discover that Miles swiped the goober from him by using the tricks that he'd employed on him earlier, annoying and at the same time make him proud. After those events, each member of the Spider-Gang began to returned home which each member saying their goodbyes just to be watched by Peter and Miles. After Miles make Peter remember that he also need to come back to his dimension, a sadly Peter began to agreed, since he began to gained a kind of brotherhood with Miles, however just as Peter was about to turn to jump into the portal, but their spider-senses get activated with them managing to sensed Fisk's presence, who was angry for the current events.

Peter returns home

Peter returns to New York

Peter was determined to stay behind since he had experience on fighting his own Kingpin as a way to avoid Miles from risking his life, Peter would tell the latter to stay as a way to deactivate the Collider as he faces Fisk alone but Miles didn't give him a chance, remember him that this wasn't part of the deal. Peter revealed that he doesn't want Morales to died facing Kingpin as his predecessor for which Morales agreed just to dropped him into the portal, not before Peter take his hand and asking how he wouldn't messed up again for which Miles would response by urging him to take his own "leap of faith" in getting his life back together. As he fell into the portal, Parker end up realizing that Miles has this handled and expressed pride in his ward one last time, before returning home being inspired by the the latter to have a stable life for once.[1][9]

Back in home, after being encouraged by Miles and his time with the Spider-Gang, Peter eventually went to Mary Jane, bearing flowers and a smile in hopes of repairing their relationship.

Mayday Parker

Mayday Parker

After returning home, Peter and Mary Jane reconciled and they would get married again. At the same time, Peter Parker would have a daughter named May Parker named after Peter's aunt May. Peter would soon also lost weight to the point he would look like how he was years ago. He would also gain a huge love for his daughter, hoping that she can become like Miles, since he started to missed him to the point of believing that if he did a good job raising her he could accomplish that dream.

After his daughter inherited his powers and was already wall-crawling before she was one year old. Peter made her a Web-Shooter, even though he would end up regretting it later. Unable to paid or leave Mayday with any normal babysitters, Peter would take her to his work as Spider-Man, even though MJ asked not to bring her into any fights. As Peter began to take care of her daughter he would began to take many pictures of her as he defend the city as Peter teach Mayday how to use her powers so she couldn't make the same mistakes he did during his life.[6]

Protecting the Multiverse[]

Forming part of the Spider-Society[]

"You say the fate of the multiverse, and my brain dies."
―Peter Parker to Miguel O'Hara[src]

Something later, Peter Parker meet Miguel O'Hara, a Spider-Man from an alternate universe where he would be recruited by him to from part of of a new team the latter was creating following the Collider Crisis, the Spider-Society. As Spider-Man Peter would accepted helping him protect the multiverse while jokingly complaining about the fact that Miguel is not as quippy as the rest of the Spider-Men in the process. He along with Miguel, Jessica Drew and an alternate version of himself began to protect the multiverse from any threat beginning to face many multiversal villains as they send them back to their home reality.

Parker would sometimes bring his daughter to his missions so she could meet the rest of the team as well when sometimes Mary Jane doesn't was at home and there wasn't any other people who could take care of Mayday at the moment. Despite all of this, Peter continued to balance his life as a superhero, a husband, and a father while continuing to save his home universe, as well as the multiverse, from any threat that could harm it, including dangerous supervillains, either the natives of his universe or variants of them stranded in other dimensions.

With the passing of time, Peter would meet new variants of Spider-Man during his journey in the multiverse, which most of them would end up being recruited by Miguel some time later. Due to this Peter would meet new members of the Spider-Society, such as Julia Carpenter, Ben Reilly and many others as he along the rest of the Spider-Society continued to protect the Multiverse form any threat.[6]

The Canon Accident[]

The Canon Accident

Peter witnessing the death of a whole universe

Even though Peter's life as a member of the Spider-Society and as a father was amazing, things would drastically change once Miguel O'Hara traveled to another universe to replace an alternate version of himself to take care of his family.

The Canon Accident - Aftermath

Peter confronting Miguel O'Hara

However that caused an Anomaly, causing this whole universe to disappear with its inhabitants dying, Peter along with the rest of the Spider-Society tried to save many civilians as they can but it wasn't enough as Parker can only witness with horror the disappearance of all the inhabitants of that universe. These events would affect Peter to the point he started to get scared again about the possibility of losing the people he cared about. Even tough Peter get close to Miguel and conform him during the latter lose since he knew who losing someone felt.[6]

Further Life with the Spider-Society[]

Following these events, while the Multiverse didn't collapse and only that universe disappeared, the damage was already done, with Miguel O'Hara becoming gritty and regretful, becoming more strict with the Spider-Society, as well as how to handle with Canon Events. Things would become worse once Miguel discovered that there was an anomaly on Earth-1610, with all the members of the Spider-Society, including Peter Parker, from visiting that world or Morales. Peter who noticed the change, would sadly accept but with the condition of not trying to capture Miles and leaving him be Spider-Man.

Since according to Parker, Miles' universe still need for which Miguel accepts. Sometime after those events, Peter would also be reunited with Peni Parker who was recruited by Miguel sometime later after those events. Sometime after this, Peter meet once again with the alternate Gwen Stacy who eventually told him about the odds she was facing with her own version of George Stacy. Peter was also present when Miguel explain to both Gwen and Peni about the Canon Events as well as the consequences to disrupted and were given the orders of not visiting Miles or going to his universe, as well as making Miles join the team. Peter and Miguel also told them about the deal they make in order to protect their friend.[6]

Some time later, Peter was managing his responsibilities as a father and a superhero until he receive a call from Miguel O'Hara through his gizmo that order him to go to the Spider-Society headquarters so they can solve the Spot situation. Peter would accept just to take his daughter with him behind his wife's back so that she could meet some of his friends after realizing that the mission was about Miles' universe. However, things will get stiff after the latter would break a canon event upon reaching Mumbtahan, so Miguel began to treat him voluntarily once he arrived at Spider-HQ. Peter, who was watching all the events unfold from afar, decide to intervene with a bad joke as a way to ease the tension while at the same time managing to remember his time as Miles's mentor in the latter's universe.

His bad joke caught the attention of Miles who would hug him excited and happy to see him again, a sentiment that was shared by Peter. Which after a big hug and beautiful reunion, he and Miles would start talking about what happened during these years at the same time that Peter would make fun of Miles's new suit after he told him that he looks solid and not so chubby anymore.

However while they were talking, Miles would tell Peter about his baby carrier noticing that Miles barely noticed about that he would look at his baby carrier until he notice that his daughter was missing. Trying to look for her, her baby appears from her swinging around the HQ facilities some time later with the help of her Web-Shooter being watched by Miles Morales who asks if Peter if he has a baby to which him confirms.[6]

Explaining about the Canon Events[]

"That happened to you?"
―Miles Morales to Peter Parker[src]

Mocking Miguel O'Hara, Peter decided to tell Miles not to worry about Miguel or his threatening look and that he doesn't really bite for which he would be reprimanded by the former who would order him to take things seriously for once. Which Parker would ignore since he would show Miles the photos he had taken of his daughter to the regret of Miguel, who Peter would let him hold his daughter while Parker begins to reprimanded O'Hara due to his serious and unfunny personality.

However, some time after these events, Miguel will return him his daughter managing to realizes that she has just pooped. Creating a nether bed with the help of his web-shooters Peter would ask Hobie to help him to hold her because she won't let herself to be changed. After a few minutes Hobie would agree just to tell his daughter that she's an anarchist. Ignoring that comment from Hobie, Peter would continue talking to Miguel after having changed it, telling him that it is not Miles' fault for what happened in Mubathan, for which the latter is confused, not knowing what they were talking about. After noticing this Miguel begins to talk to him, deciding to explain about the multiverse as well as the Canon events to Miles with the help of LYLA, a explanation that it would be witness by the majority of the members of the Spider-Society in the place, including or Peter.

In the explanation several moments of Peter's life were used as an example, such as the death of his Uncle Ben or his marriage to Mary Jane. While Miguel was explaining to Miles the ASM 90 event, the event that led to the death of a police captain, Peter sees a holographic version of himself holding the late George Stacy on the day he died. Not being able to cope with the guilt that this event left him, Peter turned around so he couldn't see the rest while small tears came out of his eyes, something that his daughter would notice as well as Miles, who would ask him if he was okay to which Peter didn't answer.[6]

Personality[]

"You look tired, Peter."
"Well, I am tired."
―Peter Parker and another dimension's May Parker[src]

Outside of his superhero life, Peter's life was rough, after losing his Uncle Ben at a young age, Peter began to possesses a strong sense of responsibility, as shown by how he still held guilt over indirectly causing his Uncle's death. The guilt that this event left him on his youth inspired Peter to used his powers to save his city and protect the inhabitants of New York despite the lack of recognition and respect showing him as someone selfless, honorable and humble. However, as the years passed, he began to become more tired and tedious, once he married with Mary Jane. Peter began to show a lack of balance, having a kind of mania produced from being Spider-Man to the point where he began to neglect his relationship with his wife as well as his personal life.

While Spider-Man saves the city and was sometimes praised by the citizens. As Peter Parker, he suffered misfortunes after misfortunes to the point of having several economic problems and losing the closest thing he had, his aunt. Thanks to that, Peter would become a very depressing person and after divorcing MJ to save her, Peter would gradually begin to gain weight and become a depressing and tired version of the hero he was years ago to the point of not wanting to continue his superhero job or even his own life.

Over the years Peter began to lose the happiness he used to have to the point that even though Peter is still Spider-Man he began to become tired and even annoying of his life as a hero. To the point that he hates being reminded that "with great power comes great responsibility." Even so, Peter continues with his dedication to being a hero, however, his reason for being a hero stopped being because he wanted to do the right thing and more because of the guilt of Ben's death is causing him as well as using it as an escape from his horrible life. Despite he still used his powers to help people he became tired of caring for everybody else just to Peter end with his life screw up.

Despite all the things that happened to him, he still shown some empathy, this what show when he decided to train Miles when he made him feel guilty revealing that after all the bad things that he suffered thanks to do the right thing he still is determined to help anyone in need. Peter also shows that, thanks to the things that happened to him, he has a careless attitude, not caring so much what might happen to him or the city when the villains terrorize it, since according to his words, Peter always wins no matter the situation.

Through his love of science, Parker was surprised to discover Miles' extra abilities, as well as his method of camouflage. Peter has shown a great love for science, something that even people close to him emphasize, being often referred to as a nerd because of his knowledge of chemistry, mathematics, and biology. Even after this sometimes, Parker has shown to have a reckless personality, sometimes not thinking before acting when he gets too excited, leading him to make various mistakes, like how he unintentionally poked Miles when he get excited after finding out the latter can become invisible. However, every time Peter makes a mistake he would use them as learning experiences as he becomes more aware of his flaws and more determined to overcome them.

In the time he has been active as Spider-Man, Peter has been both witness and participant to countless violent conflicts over the years; he has witnessed hundreds of violent deaths, including those of close friends and loved ones. He has also been personally subjected to severe injury and near-death experiences--and perhaps most alarmingly of all, the bulk of these experiences happened to Peter before the age of twenty. These experiences have left Peter with severe and enduring trauma, and psychologically affect him to this day. Thanks to that Parker at times has shown to have a guilt complex, as seen when he blamed himself for Captain Stacy and his Uncle Ben's deaths. His guilt was further accentuated by his Aunt May's death becoming several tired and depressed after losing the only person he care about. Also, Parker's guilt was one of the main reason he decided to distance himself from his friends, allies and fellow superheroes, as well as divorcing Mary Jane, as he felt deep remorse for putting the people he loved in danger and not be managed to save them from their deaths on time.

"You're chatty"
―Olivia Octavius to Spider-Man[src]

As Spider-Man, Parker is courageous and capable, being able to come up with clever strategies due to his scientific expertise. He also seems to have a joking attitude, making jokes or puns at times other people would think it's inappropriate. Peter often makes fun of his enemies and sometimes even though he sometimes feels sad and tired he hides this trough bad jokes towards the bad guys or even to himself or his allies. Which proves it when he decides to train Miles, when he notices that he wants to accompany him to Alchemax he leaves him jokingly telling him to take notes for the exam, Peter also seems to used his jokes as a way to lift the tension apart of a form of mechanism. Since Peter began to make bad jokes once Peter began to notices the tense ambient it began to develop in the Spider-Society after Miles manage to escape. Peter has also been shown to talk to himself a lot, sometimes expressing his feelings or his thoughts out loud. He always used to narrated some of his adventures as it shows when he was narrating his backstory despite being currently inconcius and knowing that nobody would hear him.

Due to his years of experience Peter already knows all the cliches of the superhero job, which was proven when he correctly guessed what Kingpin was going to say to Olivia. He has also has many relationship trough the years before meeting Mary Jane which would result in him gaining an egocentric attitude thing that is shown when he tries to distract Olivia by flirting with her and uses his casanova techniques. Peter has also shown have an strong sense of will, something that is show how despite being injured and knocked down constantly, he "always [got] back up" despite multiple hardships, Peter continued to save the city as Spider-Man. And even tough Peter loses almost everything thanks to his live as a vigilante and even if he became tired about his responsibilities he still defend the city as Spider-Man because is the right thing making him not only the most experienced superhero but also the most incorruptible one.

Even tough, he was tired and frustrated of caring for everyone else, Peter is still the same responsible, heroic and determined superhero he always was. Something that is further demonstrated when Peter decided to help Miles even tough he didn't want to thanks to his sense of responsibility and guilt with him starting to take his mentor role more serious and giving Miles Morales some advises so that he can be a better hero and don't make the same mistakes he did after he began to gained a kind of close relationship with the kid. This was also shown when Peter was willing to stay behind and deactivate the portal in case Miles is not ready to do it, even knowing that this could end his life.

And the fact that he was also denying people like the alternate Gwen Stacy, to do the same, since according to him their universe need them. Even tough Peter had shown to be ready to sacrifices his life for the ones he loved. Even willing to stay behind to face that worlds Kingpin in order to Miles shut down the collider and avoid the latter from his death. His time with Miles made a small change in Peter's personality since he began to gain a more positive outlook in live which in result make him gained that happiness that he had lost years ago. Realizing his past mistakes and shortcomings, Peter was prompted to rekindle his relationship with his ex-wife Mary Jane Watson, deciding after his stay with Miles to overcome his fears and instead of fearing of what could happen in the future, concentrated in the present by having a family with MJ and that distancing himself for the ones he loved in order to protect them is never the answer and instead it just make the things worse.

Apart from that, Peter has also shown to have a humble and mature personality which he shows when he is the only one who instead of trying to chase Miles tries to reason with the envelope why the Canon Events are important. Peter also proved to be happier and friendlier with him, accepting that even though life is never perfect, good things can always come out of bad things. He also demonstrates having sense of justice greater than everybody else, initially believing that preserving the canon events is for the greater good and even states that Uncle Ben's demise was probably for the best, as many Spider-Men wouldn't be who they are without the deaths of their paternal mentors. Despite this, he and his daughter ultimately defect from the Spider-Society and join Gwen's team to rescue Miles, showing that Peter places those he cares about over the sake of maintaining the status quo for all universes.

"That's a no, no"
―Peter Parker to Olivia Octavius[src]

When he decided to became Spider-Man, Peter decide to created a suit with a mask in order to conceal his true identity of his villains and even his fellows allies in order to protect them from his foes. However, some of his most dangerous enemies managed to eventually found his secret which would be the reason of why some of his loved one became the target of some threats. Those events are the reason why over the years Peter began to gain a great respect and appreciation for the secret identities, always wanting to persevered them at any cost.

This was shown when Parker's first instinct when he was sucked into another universe was to take his mask in order to not reveal his face if he arrives to a place where his secret identity could be in risk. Even tough he was in an alternate universe where everyone already knew who he is, Parker still used normal clothes in order to conceal his identity as a civilian. Showing how he still cares for maintaining his real identity as a secret from his villains and the rest of his allies and civilians doesn't matter where he is, even if he isn't even in his home universe. Peter began to also shown his instinct of maintaining his secret identity when he try to avoid Olivia Octavius of unmasking his face even tough she already knew who she is.

Even tough, Peter hide his real identity to all of his close allies. Peter eventually managed to shared it to other people such as Mary Jane, however it was also shown that Parker feels more comfortable without his mask when he is alongside his fellow members of the Spider-Society and Spider-People in general, since he feel less nervous about not concealing his face since most of the spider-people are variants of himself.

Powers and Abilities[]

Powers[]

"Don't watch the mouth, watch the hands"
―Peter Parker to Miles Morales[src]

  • Spider Physiology: Having been bitten by a spider that was exposed to great amounts of radiation, Peter Benjamin Parker gained the proportionate physical capabilities of the spider. The radioactive spider bite triggered numerous body-wide mutagenic changes within Parker, granting him superhuman strength, speed, toughened flesh, numerous arachnid-like abilities such as enhanced senses which allow him to evade several attacks from his foes.
    • Superhuman Strength: Spider-Man possesses considerable superhuman strength, due to it being the proportional strength of a spider. Peter possesses the proportionate strength of a spider, allowing him to face foes in combat that would otherwise overwhelm him. His physical strength also extends into his legs, enabling him to be able to jump great distances and heights. Although he is relatively untrained, his strength alone is sufficient to lift a bus before it fell onto the civilians. His incredible strength also allowed him to knock out Olivia Octavius with only a punch, which is something that not even the alternate Gwen Stacy could do since she had to trow her many consecutive punches and kicks on the latter to beat her up even tough he was on bad shape and tired at the time. Now that Parker was managed to get on shape Peter's strength seems to be more powerful than before becoming one of New York City's strongest heroes alongside the Hulk.
    • Superhuman Durability: Spider-Man's body is inhumanly resistant towards impact forces and blunt force trauma, Peter's body is far tougher and denser than a regular human as he could withstand falls from extreme heights, blunt force trauma and superhuman blows with little damage. Peter even survived and recovered from getting his back broken that might otherwise paralyze ordinary humans.
    • Superhuman Speed: Spider-Man can run and move much faster than an ordinary human and is adept at dodging quickly. Spider-Man was also quick enough to not be catch up by Olivia Octavius whose speed was faster than most human beings.
    • Superhuman Agility: After Spider-Man gained his powers, he became as agile as a spider, being able to make movements that would be extremely difficult for a normal human with great facility, capable of swinging around on thin spider-webbing and jumping great distances and heights without difficulty. His bones, muscles, and joints have more elastic strength and durability, allowing him to perform gymnastic and contortionist maneuvers without damaging his bone structure. Spider-Man can leap much higher than a normal human or even an Olympic-level gymnast, enabling him the ability to jump and leap to a height of several stories in a single bound, and easily capable of jumping and leaping from one building over a street to the next. This was shows after he does not only defeated daily foes twice of his size thanks to his agility, but his strength alongside his agility show him capable of fighting and defeating another world's Prowler even tough he was tired something even his perfect deceased counterpart couldn't do.
    • Superhuman Stamina: Spider-Man's advanced musculature produces fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much longer periods of time before fatigue begins to impair him. At his peak, Spider-Man can physically exert himself at his peak capacity for several hours before the build-up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him. Several accounts depict Spider-Man as able to hold his breath for eight minutes or more.
    • Superhuman Metabolism: Spider-Man's advanced allows him to be immune to thing such as illness, injury, intoxication. Thanks to that power, Peter need to eat a considerable amounts of food to maintain his energy, this also make him immune to thing such as gaining weight. However, he can momentarily lose the last perk of this ability if he becomes overly stressed or depressed.
    • Regenerative Healing Factor: Spider-Man's increased metabolism allows him to rapidly heal and regenerate from harm faster and more extensively than normal humans can recover from. He was able to rapidly heal from a black eye from his pursuit with Miles Morales in less than a day as well as his back after falling through the ground.
    • Superhuman Reflexes: On several occasions it has been shown that Spider-Man possesses reflexes far beyond the capabilities of normal humans. In conjunction with his Spider-Sense, Parker is able to easily dodge a full guns that the scientist of alchemax was throwing at him. Spider-Man also possesses a heightened sense of equilibrium which greatly enhances his balance and coordination.
    • Enhanced Senses: Spider-Man's senses are greatly enhanced, eleving to any human capabilities. Hence, Parker is able to sense potentially dangerous things shortly before they occur. For example, if an object is being thrown at Spider-Man, he will usually be aware of it, even if it is hurled from far away and he is facing the opposite direction. His senses are so developed that he can see things that are beyond the human eyes.
      • Spider-Sense: Spider-Man has shown an extrasensory awareness of impending danger, known as his "Spider-Sense". This sixth sense, offers him near complete awareness of his surroundings, and in conjunction with his reflexes, allows him to instinctively dodge or counter nearly all attacks. His brain intakes and responses to stimuli at an accelerated rate, acting as a precognitive ability to sense potential or immediate danger. This awareness thus implies some kind of intelligence, capable of parsing Spider-Man's surroundings, identifying and critically evaluating a potential threat at a subconscious level, thus alerting Spider-Man of dangers he cannot readily notice at first, allowing him to effectively dodge and counter incoming attacks in combat, including projectiles aimed at him even from a blind spot. Provided with his extraordinary speed and wall-crawling, the Spider-Sense is sufficiently well-linked to his superhuman kinesthetics and reflexes, and it permits Spider-Man to evade all manner of spontaneous dangers by an evidently instinctual exercise of some uncanny reflex. It also gives him omnipresent detection to his surroundings, which is how he web swings without looking where he shoots his webs with ease. In addition his spider-sense gives Peter the omnipresent to recognize other individuals with spider-powers, making them have some sort of connection.
    • Wall Crawling: Spider-Man can adhere to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in order to scale them, this ability allows him to stick to any surface when willing himself to, as physical contact with said surfaces creates a locking connection necessary to support his body, even when he is inverted above the ground. Alternatively, Parker could make individual portions of his body adhesive, which allowed him to stick his foot onto the side wall to walk into it. This power also overcomes the outer electron shell's normal behavior of mutual repulsion with other outer electron shells and permits the tremendous potential for electron attraction to prevail. The mentally controlled sub-atomic particle responsible for this has yet to be identified. This ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is so far limited to Spider-Man's body (especially concentrated in his hands and feet) and another object, with an upper limit of several tons per finger.
  • Web Generation: Through the use of his Web-Shooters, Spider-Man is able to project a substance similar to a spider's web. The web's tensile strength and adhesive properties allow him to use the webs for a variety of purposes, from swinging between buildings to restraining his enemies.

Former Powers[]

  • Physical Augmentation: Parker's physical prowess was augmented even further by the Venom symbiote, with Venom's already ability to increase it's host user and Peter's already spider-physiology. With this new power, Peter Parker became unstoppable even tough he slowly began to loose himself as well as the control of it's becoming more resentful and easy to anger. Being the reason why Peter would loose that ability after getting rid of the symbiote.
  • Organic Web Generation: After bonding with the symbiote, Spider-Man gained the ability to generate and project his webbing without the need of his web-shooters. The black silk is released through a white patches in the the back of its hands, he can utilize his organic webbing in any way he can, such as grabbing onto objects or rounding up individuals. However, he would eventually loose that ability after he get rid of the symbiote.

"Wow. That was really just a guess?"
"We learned about it in physics."
"Quantum theory."
―Peter Parker and Miles Morales[src]

  • Genius-Level Intellect: Parker is a highly intelligent science enthusiast, with aptitudes in chemistry, physics, and engineering. In addition, Peter has shown to being able to memorize Doctor Octopus' 26-digit computer password upon first seeing her enter it on her keyboard, and subtly communicated the rest of the password when Miles forgot it. He is also familiar with physics and quantum theory; he comprehended everything Doctor Octopus said about the rupture in the space-time continuum, and quickly deduced that Miles' invisibility was due to fight-or-flight as well as easily deduced that he was in another universe as well as the implication of it. Peter's decades of experience allowed him to quickly devise a plan to infiltrate Alchemax, and accurately predict what Kingpin would say to Doctor Octopus, verbatim. He also taught Miles how to un-stick from walls and web-swing under "intense, life-threatening pressure."
    • Master Scientist: Parker is a brilliant scientist who is highly skilled in various fields of science. He developed a highly advanced chemical compound into a silk-like material, using salicylic acid, toluene, methanol, carbon tetrachloride, potassium carbonate, and ethyl acetate to make it sticky, malleable, load-bearing, strong, hold with extreme amounts of tension and stress, yet have a little stretch to it. He later creade another version of the web-shooter for his daughter with the same formula of this synthetic webbing.
    • Expert Engineer: Parker has an affinity for working on and building anything relationated with science, and has become an expert when it comes to creating new technology. As such, he constructed the both versions of the web-shooters with its synthetic webbing along with his Spider-Man Suit.
    • Expert Tactician: Parker has shown to have a personality worthy of a leader. Giving orders to help people work together without problems as well as making plans and make tactics, something that is show when he swiftly made a plan to infiltrate himself to Alchemax. Parker also began to used this ability with more frequency after the birth of Mayday, since Peter managed to take very high quality photo of his daughter.
  • Master Combatant: After fighting crime for twenty two years, Parker's combat style developed into a somewhat instinctive and improvised collection of techniques that emphasizes the use of his superhuman strength, speed, agility, and Web-Shooters. Hence, Parker uses quick, powerful attacks and agile movements while firing his webs to immobilize his enemies.
  • Master Marksman: Spider-Man possesses extremely keen eyesight, and is able to accurately utilize his Web-Shooters to neutralize his targets during his crime-fighting.
  • Master Acrobat: Due to his superhuman agility, Spider-Man can perform acrobatic and gymnastic feats, such as flips, with little effort.
  • Indomitable Will: Peter has also shown have an strong sense of will, something that is show how despite the lows points of his life he continued to be a hero, even though he became tired about it. He also shows to be free from evil temptations and always trying to do good things no matter if he is at his lowest point of live since he kept getting back up.

Equipment[]

Weapons[]

  • Web-Shooters: A pair of wrist-mounted mechanical devices used by Spider-Man to project synthetic webbing. Created by Peter Parker himself, the web-shooters help Peter to release a strong, spider silk-like material that they use for web-swinging and binding, among others, completing his spider's ensemble. Its web-shooting mechanism is activated by a button in the middle of their palm, easily accessible when the middle and ring fingers are folded inwards to reach for the button, resulting in Spider-Man's classic hand gesture. The web-shooters allow him to do web-based attacks and swing from building to building.
    • Synthetic Webbing: Created also by Peter Parker himself, this web-like organic chemical substance is meant to emulate the silk created by the common spider, while its composition and tensile strength are substantial enough to take the weight of ten men. This synthetic spider silk is used by Parker to help swing around New York City, bind and tie up enemies, steal weapons, and make other useful applications. Spider-Man combines this synthetic web with agile movements to dodge enemy attacks and often targets the enemies' arms and legs to break their balance and immobilize them. The webbing usually dissolves after an hour.

Trivia[]

  • In the comics, Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider that granted him superpowers. Upon the death of his uncle, Ben Parker, due to Parker's indifference, he decided to become a selfless hero Spider-Man.
  • In the first film, Peter states that he's been Spider-Man for 22 years. This means in the second film, Peter has been Spider-Man for at least 23 years and 4 months, since Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse takes place a year and 4 months after Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
  • Peter is around 38 years old and has been Spider-Man for 22 years based on his monologue. Since in the comics Peter is a Libra this Peter was bitten at 15 shortly before his 16th birthday.[1]
  • In the comics Peter is a New York Mets fans thing that may stays true in this version.[8][6]

Behind the scenes:

  • Tobey Maguire was considered for this role but the idea was shelved to avoid confusion.[10]
  • This character was considered by the creators (Christopher Miller and Phil Lord) to be an amalgam of several versions of Peter Parker without being directly associated to a specific one. They aged him older than the popular mainstream versions and placed him in "a situation that [he] hasn't been in before" — in this case, becoming a somewhat ineffective mentor. And later as a father.[11]
  • It's suggested that Peter B. Parker is Jewish, as he married Mary Jane Watson in a Jewish wedding ceremony.[1]
  • The "B." in Peter B. Parker stands for the character's usual middle name across his different versions, Benjamin. For Into the Spider-Verse's producer and screenwriter Phil Lord, it also stood for "B grade or B-List or B-picture," to accentuate that Peter B. Parker was a less competent Spider-Man than the one from Miles' universe. He also stated that the meaning of the B can be up to interpretation.[14]
  • While he is based in name on the Peter Parker of Earth 616A (the Marvel Universe) from the comics, and had a pretty similar life to the latter managing to live trough the same events he did on the comics. The differences started to occur when in the comics' Earth 616 Peter never lose his Aunt May and instead make a deal with Mephisto to avoid her from dying, he also is way younger. With the two of them having an age gasp of ten years, however some comics make his age past from 28 to 26. And lately in the new Amazing Spider-Man run, Peter it seems to be now in his early 30s. There is also the fact that comics' Earth 616 Peter never had a baby, even tough he was supposed to have two when he was marriage with Mary Jane, but one died at birth and the other ceased to exist thanks to Mephisto. Another difference is that the comics' Earth 616 Peter arrive to the Ultimate Universe and meet Miles Morales on his own without the assistance of other spider-people the comics Peter also currently shares universe with Miles following the second Secret Wars. This Peter also had more experience with the Multiverse prior meeting Miles since he meet Miguel O'Hara as well as Max Borne earlier on his life.[8]
    • However a deleted scene of the film shown Peter B. Parker explaining the multiverse to Miles hinting that he already had experience with the subject. However for unknown reasons that scene was discarded from the final cut but it was still shown on the trailers.[15]
