~ Alolan Vulpix's Legends: Arceus Poékdex Entry |
Vulpix is a Fire-type Fox Pokémon from Generation 1. It evolves into Ninetales with contact of a Fire Stone. It shares the same traits with Growlithe. In Generation 7, it has an Ice-type Alolan form that evolves into Alolan Ninetales with contact of an Ice Stone.
Kantonian Vulpix was voiced by Rikako Aikawa in the Japanese version, and was originally voiced by the late Rachael Lillis in the 4Kids English version.
Alolan Vulpix and the Kantonian Vulpix are voiced by Reina Ueda in the Japanese version, and Emily Jenness and Suzy Myers in the TPCi English version.
Summary[]
When a Vulpix is born it has a single white tail. Eventually its tail breaks into six separate red tails that will begin to curl. Inside its body burns a flame that never goes out. It is said that when the temperature outside rises, fire can be seen coming from a Vulpix's mouth to give off heat. Vulpix can freely control fire, typically in the form of fiery orbs. If attacked by a stronger enemy, Vulpix feigns injury to escape.
A Kantonian Vulpix can eventually turn into a Ninetales when a Fire Stone is used, and an Alolan Vulpix can eventually evolve into an Alolan Ninetales when an Ice Stone is used.
