Trainers can now receive a Shiny Meloetta from Pokemon HOME by completing the Pokedex with Pokemon caught from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV)! Keep reading to learn more about how to obtain Meloetta and its stats, which Pokedex to complete, and how to get Meloetta into your game.

How to Obtain Shiny Meloetta in Pokemon HOME

Complete the Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Academy Pokedexes on Pokemon HOME!

Pokemon SV - Pokemon HOME SV Pokedexes
After updating your Pokemon HOME to version 3.2.2, you can now obtain a Shiny Meloetta by completing the Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Academy Pokedexes. Do note that you have to complete the Pokedex in Pokemon HOME and not in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokedexes Can Only be Filled With Pokemon with the SV Origin Mark

Pokemon SV - SV Origin Mark
To complete your Pokedex in Pokemon HOME, you need to transfer Pokemon with the Scarlet and Violet Marker! This is the same symbol when you Terastallize in the game. Pokemon without this marker will not count towards your Pokedex completion.

Since this is the only marker being checked though and not location caught, you can transfer a Tynamo caught from Paldea and it will count for all three Pokedexes!

Receive via Mystery Gift Option in the App

Pokemon SV - Pokemon HOME Mystery Gift
Once you complete the respective Pokedexes, you will be gifted the shiny Meloetta via the Mystery Gift option in the app! Tap on the List Icon on the Main Menu and you will see Mystery Gifts on the bottom left corner.

After receiveing your Meloetta, you can then transfer it like any other Pokemon into a game Meloetta is available in.

Open the Pokemon HOME App and select the button that says "Pokemon"

Select Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet from the games listed.

You will see the Pokemon deposited on your Pokemon HOME boxes on the left side and your Boxes in Pokemon Scarlet or Violet on the Right side

Select a Pokemon deposited in Pokemon HOME and drag it into your box on the right side.

Return to the main screen in order to save the changes you made.
