Reach Cain (formerly named Cain's Request) is the first Westmarch quest in Diablo Immortal. It triggers as soon as the player arrives in the zone in The King's Road.
Objectives[]
- Reach Westmarch.
(Lethes has been defeated and the shard is yours. Elder Cain gave you a portal scroll attuned to the city of Westmarch Now is the time to use it.) - Talk to Lieutenant Dunn.
(Cain's scroll worked! You have arrived outside of Westmarch, but the guards are questioning travelers at the gate.) - Talk to Piri on the Bridge.
(The city's gates are now open. Elder Cain arrived before you: there must be someone who can help locate him.) - Find Charsi in Rakkis Plaza.
(The trail to Deckard leads to a blacksmith named Charsi. Seek her out at the smithy in Rakkis Square.)
Transcript[]
- The outskirts of Westmarch
- Lieutenant Dunn: Hold there a moment, stranger. We're speaking with all new arrivals seeking asylum. Hmm, you don't look like a refugee from Ashwold. What brings you to Westmarch?
- Class: I'm supposed to meet someone in the city.
- Lieutenant Dunn: Mm. Another tight-lipped adventurer. You're not the first to step through these gates on "business." All right, everything checks out. Move along and keep the peace. Understood?(allows the player to pass)
- On the bridge beyond the gates
- Leon: Wow, that ship is huge!
- Piri: Haka! Get those wares to the storehouse quickly, all right?
Adventurer, over here!
- Piri: Ha, I knew it had to be you! Been waiting a while for you to show. Charsi would have stayed, but, you know, she's got business to run.
- Class
- Standard: I'm sorry...Who is Charsi? Do I know you?
- Blood Knight: Should I know Charsi? How do you know me?
- Piri: Oh, forgive me! I got a little over-zealous. Let's say we have a mutual friend...a certain "scholar" who arrived before you did.
Our "friend" asked us to greet you when you arrived. Listen, Charsi's the one you want to speak to. Find her at the blacksmith, and she'll guide your further. Welcome to Westmarch and good luck!
- Start heading to the blacksmith
- Kuna: Ah that's better. Can't beat this view.
- Mattis: More and more travelers come to Westmarch every day.
- Class
- Standard: Excuse me, are you Charsi? I was sent to find you. A man on the bridge implied you could help me find Deckard Cain.
- Blood Knight: You must be Charsi. A man on the bridge implied you could help me find Deckard Cain.
- Charsi: It's you! You're here! Cain is going to be so happy you arrived. Well, let me be among the first to welcome you to Westmarch! Isn't it as grand as the stories say?
- Class:
- Barbarian: It is certainly large, I will give it that. Where might I find Deckard Cain?
- Blood Knight: Grand? Yes, well ... I'm sure all these walls help people feel safe. Can you show me to Cain?
- Demon Hunter: I've never been one for cities... or stories, for that matter. Do you know where I'm supposed to find Elder Cain?
- Monk: A city is but a reflection of those who dwell within its walls. One particular occupant interests me at the moment. Where might I find Deckard Cain?
- Necromancer: Yes, Westmarch... a city that has never been a true friend to the Priests of Rathma. I would like to reach Elder Cain quickly, if possible.
- Wizard: That depends on which stories you're referencing, Charsi. While I would love to have time to explore the city, reaching Cain is my first priority.
- Charsi: Ah, right, of course! Cain has a workshop to the left of the Central Square. Just beyond the fountain. You know, once I've finished up here, I'll join you two! Give you a proper introduction to the city!
