Cricket Green has two consciences, his angel and devil. They are his personal shoulder angel/devil, who only appeared in "Wishing Well". They appear after Cricket spends all of Tilly's savings, and throughout the episode are tasked with steering Cricket in the right direction.
Appearance[]
As figments of Cricket’s imagination representing his consciences, they inherit the same physical look as Cricket.
The angel appears in a white angelic robe with a halo above his head and wings attached, while the devil wears only a comical red devil costume covering most of his forehead and to the bottom of his feet. He also carries a pitchfork.
Personality[]
As part of Cricket's personal consciences, both the angel and devil act the same way one's personal consciences do; to do either the right or wrong thing.
Relationships[]
Cricket[]
As his consciences, they either deeply care for (Angel), or are pushing (Devil), Cricket to do things, even if they're wrong (usually Devil).
Devil[]
Cricket seemed to be more of an ally to his shoulder devil than angel.
Angel[]
Cricket seems to be more annoyed with his angel than devil, as it pestered him into collecting enough coins to repay Tilly's lost savings.
Sightings[]
After Cricket starts up a fake wishing well to drum up cash, he ends up getting no customers except for Tilly, who makes a wish to touch a rainbow and empties her whole piggy bank in it. When Cricket wonders what to do about it, the Devil Cricket shows up and tells him to spend the money. Listening to the devil's advice, Cricket takes the money to Snuggly Pete's House of Pizza and spends all the money on games and pizza.
It wasn't long for the Angel Cricket to show up after being trapped by the Devil Cricket for hours, and proceeds to warn Cricket that scamming his sister was wrong and he should make up for his mistake, only vowing to leave him once he makes things right. Cricket is forced to perform various good deeds which in turn earns back the exact amount of money Tilly had and he gives it to her, hoping that would redeem him, but Tilly instead dumps all the money he earned into the well, thinking it would increase the chance of her wish coming true. It is that point Cricket reveals the well is a scam, and Tilly is disappointed thinking the wishing was for nothing.
Because Cricket didn't make things right with Tilly, the consciences are still here and pester him in different directions, which bothers Cricket to the point he sends them back into his mind. After the consciences have a mental battle with one another, Cricket realizes the angel was right and he didn't care about Tilly's needs at all, and to make up for it, he blocks up and floods the park fountain, causing it to explode and produce a rainbow from the water, making Tilly's wish come true at last. Tilly thanks Cricket and they make up as the consciences watch from aside and return to their two different homes.
Trivia[]
- Unlike regular shoulder angels and devils, Cricket's consciences are depicted as being able to interact with their environment in some ways.
