The Sato family consists of four people: Gloria Sato, Mr. Sato, Emily and Mrs. Sato.
History[]
While first revealed in "Coffee Quest", Mr. and Mrs. Sato's relationship with their daughter was unknown until "'Rent Control".
Gloria's parents expect the best from her and always brings up her cousin Emily, who is successful, so they can compare Gloria's current life to Emily's. As Gloria didn't want to tell them she was actually working at Big Coffee, not having enough salary and living in an apartment instead of an actual house, Gloria had been lying to her parents for years, until she admits the truth. However, she is comforted by the fact that she lives with good people who care for her, and that they are indeed proud of her. Gloria continues to live with the Greens considering that she was evicted from her apartment and needed a home after the incident with Wholesome Foods kicked her out of her new job, which was in the former Wholesome Foods Mega-Store. Gloria would go job-hopping, finding a new place in the Gloria + Green Café.
To this day, despite settling in with the Greens as her new home and surrogate family, Gloria still pays them a visit, the most recent being during the events of "Virtually Christmas" (she's actually absent in the episode, though Shane Houghton on Twitter mentions that Gloria visited her parents during the events of the episode, thus explaining her absence)
