This article is about the character from The Ghost and Molly McGee. For other characters, see Ollie.
Oliver "Ollie" Chen is a character who appears in the second season of The Ghost and Molly McGee. He is Molly McGee's neighbor, who moved into the house across the street and crush (later boyfriend), and along with his whole family, is a ghost hunter, until in the episode "Frightmares on Main Street", when he discovered that not all ghosts are bad.
Background
Before settling in Brighton, Oliver and his family travelled across the country, visiting the most haunted cities in America where they hunted ghosts.
Personality
Like the rest of his family, Oliver believes in ghosts and shares the same passion to hunt them. He is the research specialist of the group. However, upon developing a crush on Molly McGee and seeing her being friends with a ghost, Ollie's views on the supernatural and ghost hunting began to change.
Physical appearance
Oliver is a 13-year-old Asian boy. He wears a blue jacket with a white shirt underneath, a pair of light gray pants, and a pair of purple slip-on shoes. He also wear a gold chain around his neck, which is mostly hidden by his jacket.
Trivia
- Like Molly, Ollie has arachnophobia, as in a fear of tarantulas.
- Ollie is the second person outside of Molly's family to know about Scratch's existence, after Libby.
- Had the series been picked up for a third season, Ollie would have become the new Chairman.[1]
- In wraith form, Ollie has orange ectoplasm, which is similar to Molly's "golden joy energy", but is not as bright and vibrant. Orange is also the color that the otherwise green ghost Blair turns into when she's having an emotional breakdown.
