Melissa Tagg is the USA Today bestselling, Christy and Carol Award-winning author of swoony and hope-filled small-town contemporary romances. She’s also a former reporter, current nonprofit marketing strategist, and total Iowa girl.

Melissa has taught at multiple national writing conferences, as well as workshops and women’s retreats. When she’s not happily lost in someone else’s book or plugging away her own, she can be found spoiling her nieces and nephews, watching old movies, and daydreaming about her next fictional hero. I think what most inspired me to write Christian fiction is simply the fact that I grew up reading it! When most kids my age were reading The Boxcar Children, I was reading Janette Oke books. Too, I am a Christian and it's hard for me to imagine writing a story without a spiritual thread, whether overt or subtle...it's such a part of my personal life that I can't really picture myself writing a story without it. I love the Christian fiction industry and so many of the people who work in it. It's quite the honor getting to be a part of it, that's for sure!(less)

“Why was it that a person could forget a thousand moments over a lifetime but never purge the one memory she truly wanted to forget?”
Melissa Tagg, Made to Last

“Life's greatest adventure is love. Loving each other, loving others. And being loved--first by God, then by each other. There's no better purpose.”
Melissa Tagg, Here to Stay

“Maybe that was the best part. The beautiful peace that came with
living her own story, knowing every turn of the page and tug of the
heart was a new beginning.”
