No more than 50 pages. Super quick reads that are worth reading if you’re in the mood for it but the price is a little steep given the content in my opinion. And the editing wasn’t great, and I almost never even notice that kind of thing.

Got bored around 30% in and never continued. Then I went back to it when I saw some people I know really enjoyed it. Once I picked it back up I was definitely invested, but it still wasn’t a hit for me. The story is very dark and taboo and messed up, I know I’ve been picking up a lot of lighter books recently so I want y’all to know this is a dark dark one. I think a huge part of why this wasn’t my fave was the characters. I didn’t really like them. And I didn’t love Red and Jori together. There were a lot of times that I got the vibe that they didn’t really like each other all that much? Lol just me? Idk. My favorite character was Hoyt, and if you’ve read it you know how that works out. lol There were definitely twists and turns that kept me intrigued through the story, but they felt kind of predictable to me. I was expecting a lot of the bombs that were dropped and I kept waiting for something to throw me off and nothing really did. I don’t know. Maybe it was the wrong time for me to read it and I was in need of something with more romance. The two MCs have the two fucked up souls who fit together vibe but their chemistry was just missing something for me. Ugh. I can’t put my finger on it. Anyway, it’s a dark taboo compelling story that will keep you guessing. Worth a read if you’re in the mood for that, for sure...more
3.5⭐️ Okay, so this one was an experience to say the least. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s an RH consisting of her two brothers, cousin, uncle and dad. Yeah you read that right.
There were parts of this book I definitely liked, but it missed the mark for me in a few ways.
I liked Reuben and Warren, they were the only two who seemed to actually care about her. It may be the first time in the entirety of my time reading RH where I felt like I’d be happier if she ended up with one of them, namely Reuben.
I did not vibe with the guys in the harem for the most part, which could be because there was very little focus on relationship or character development. I also really wanted a little more hesitancy from the guys, given everything. But they were all immediately okay with hooking up with their cousin/sister/niece/daughter.
I know I would have been a little uncomfortable with the content regardless, but my issues with this book have less to do with the taboo nature and more to do with the execution. With Taboo I want to feel like, even though it’s not conventional or even acceptable in society, that these characters NEED to be together because of their undeniable connection or chemistry and that’s just not here.
I wouldn’t not recommend it because it’s most definitely an experience worth having (as long as the content I described above wouldn’t ruin your day) I just wanted more from the characters. ...more

Though you do meet the MCs for this one in the first book, and you see Reed and Devon in book two.
I really loved this one you guys! Of my dive into extra taboo romance, this book and Hale are my two favorites so far.
There was something I really enjoyed about Eve and being in her head. This book kinda gave me gender bent Tarzan vibes and I was here for it. And I really loved Atticus. He wasn’t a perfect character but I loved him with Eve.
Something I’ve noticed since reading three taboo K Webster books in a row is that she writes good flawed characters and makes me understand why they would choose to do something that may seem disturbing to some people. I wasn’t really prepared for that going in to be honest but I’m so glad this ended up being more than reading for shock value. Finishing this book gave me a book hangover because of how much I loved Eve and Atticus.
Now, this is not me saying this book is for everyone. I’m not easily bothered by just about any content in books, and I have an open mind, always have. It’s totally cool if this isn’t your thing, but as I said with The Wild, If you’re curious and open minded, I would definitely recommend.

If you haven’t heard of this one, it’s a romance between a father and a daughter. If that’s not your thing, that’s cool. I liked this book a lot. It went places I really wasn’t expecting it to go, though I knew virtually nothing about the plot going in, it still surprised me. This is not your average romance, this is definitely not your average setting or situation. Of course it made me uncomfy but y’all should know by now I’m not bothered by being uncomfortable.
I have conflicted feelings about Reed. He’s definitely an imperfect character so I can appreciate him for that and I think he did his best and I loved how he adored Devon. Devon was a little hard for me to relate to but I definitely felt for her. These two go through A LOT in this book.
I think this is one that’s definitely worth picking up if you’re curious and have an open mind.

Like, I was unprepared for how much I was going to like it. Don’t get me wrong, I was definitely a little uncomfy for a lot of it, but it was also somehow really cute. And the author really makes you feel like the progression of their relationship makes sense and happens naturally. I think given the subject matter I didn’t really expect the characters to feel like real and relatable people but they definitely are. I really liked Hudson and I felt for Rylie.
Anyway, if you have an open mind, I would definitely say this is worth a read.
