There is a group of men though she does her best to stay away from, a group of four known as Savage Shadows. They are ruthless in acquiring drivers whether they want to join them or not. Her latest race ends with her a winner but does not go unnoticed and Slate Saxe, the head of the Savage Shadows, makes it real clear she is on radar.
Slate needs Emerald for a job, he and his other Savage Shadows brothers have a plan in place to get her to agree. What Slate did not expect is Emerald is good at evasion, she is not rattled by his tactics and she certainly does not keep her mouth shut. Slate decides that Emerald is going to be more of a job, he plans to keep her. She is perfect for him and he plans to break her, but Emerald has no plans to agree to anything.
It's a battle of the wills with sizzling chemistry for this story. Emerald is full of sass, which I think at times throws Slate off but he is so cold in demeanor it's hard to tell. I really liked Slate once you got to know him under his hardened exterior but as the story unfolds you begin to understand. I was completely entertained and could not put this story down....more

What she doesn't expect is to be butting heads with Falcon, one of the designer/mechanics and member of the MC. What Soliel doesn't realize is that Falcon assumes that Soliel is getting bike for her husband, when he finds out she is single though everything changes. Their story is not smooth but if they can p stick by one another they could find they have their happily ever after.
This was good, Soliel is a bit of a hot head and lets her fears of being not enough for Falcon get in her way. The only problem is she exudes confidence in her sport but seems to be insecure when it comes to Falcon. I did enjoy this story a bit different then the rest of the books. ...more

She had not expected to be dumped by her boyfriend either, that event was just the final nail in the coffin in setting goals for herself.
Feeling slightly lost and bumming a place to sleep on her best friends couch, she doesn't expect to find herself becoming friends with bad boy personified Jaxon. Jaxon is everything your mother warned you about plus a little extra, he has extra room in his apartment and Elana becomes his unexpected roommate.
Jaxon wants Elana, Elana wants Jaxon but she doesn't have any plans to be another notch in Jaxon's belt. Jaxon though is afraid that once he has her, he will mess everything up, but Elana gives Jaxon something he has not had much of, hope.
Wonderful story, with each page there is another layer to both the characters. Jaxon has shouldered a lot and I think in some ways he is a loose cannon because he has taken on so much. Jaxxon agreed to model but with that commitment she made it plain from day one she was not going to change who she is, she is blunt, hot tempered, and if she let's you in loyal to a fault.

Jaxxon knows she can never have a relationship with Connor, but working each other out of their system seems like a perfect antidote for the two of them considering whenever they are in the same room they ignite like a wild fire in sexual tension.
Loved it. Can I just say I love this cover, love it. That alone had me eager to read this story. There is a lot to this story and it can be a bit raw at times but as you begin to understand the depth of each character you embrace what they have become. Jaxxon quickly has become one of my favorite characters she is one tough chick and had me smiling with the way she could get under Connor's skin. So glad to find a new author to read.

Several surprises in this one. I actually have read the third and fourth in the series and not sure if that wavered my thoughts on this book because you do know a bit about the main characters. I thought this was good and can see where the series gets better with each new addition. Trace is not the softest of characters but I think that is because she is driven for a young woman and has not really experienced the normal adolescence you would normally have....more
