Excited would be an understatement. If I thought I loved Roman in his story.. Him as a OTT dad?! Sir.
Rafael is simply dSo we're on to the kids huh?.
Excited would be an understatement. If I thought I loved Roman in his story.. Him as a OTT dad?! Sir.
Rafael is simply delicious is the most toxic over the top crazy kind of way. Is he sane? nope. Did he cross many lines? yup. Did I love regardless? absolutely. He's a man in the grey area but steps into the black with no issues. He fought his entire life to protect what is his. To build his empire. To make those who aided his suffering pay. Oh and boy did he. Yet there really is something special about this man and his many funny quirks. His needy emotions. His over the top spending and love for one sassy woman. Honesty.. Perfection.
Vasilisa is far more than Rafe bargained for to be honest. Aside from her being a woman to start.. She didn't cower to him and his crazy. She stood tall.. as tall as her tiny self could and gave him hell. She is a lethal combination of her mom and dad. Sassy, smart and fiercely loyal. However she is also sweet in a way that Rafe is definitely not used to. She's a brilliant heroine.
These pair had me cracking up even in the most inappropriate times. They fought like cat and dog and clashed over just about everything. They bickered like they'd been married for 60 years. The connection was undeniable. What it build was something so special and equally dysfunctional. Yet they worked. The chemistry was insane. The little digs and cheeky smug smirks.. It fed my soul. They had me creased with laughter. Sighing in contentment. Raging in anger and at times just feeling utterly frustrated. They fit when they shouldn't have and I loved them for it.
Their journey wasn't easy but it was so worth it. The side characters are the gift that gives with much loved older faces as well as some new and interesting ones. There was never a dull moment that is for sure.
I knew I wouldn't be disappointed given I've loved all the other stories but this one was a huge win because it will definitely be a favourite of mine. Now I'm excited for what's next....more
A continuation of book one leads us here and my friends it gets more unhinged if that is even possible.
I love Finley. She's crazy but special. NyfainA continuation of book one leads us here and my friends it gets more unhinged if that is even possible.
I love Finley. She's crazy but special. Nyfain is delicious. Wounded but still delightful, even in his rages.
This world is absolutely bonkers with so much to unravel. So I'm going to keep this one short and sweet.
Nyfain and Finley's relationship is complicated to say the least. There is so much tension. So much chemistry. A whole lot of mixed emotions and for lack of better words .. drama. Then you add in the crazy side characters, a demon king and dungeons and well... it gets messy.
K F Breene has a way with building these worlds and this is certainly no different. I was so invested in the world, in the new discoveries and the many secrets and lies that are woven withing. Then we move on to the characters that are ever evolving and it truly had me locked in.
This is book two in the series and cannot be read as a standalone. Book two gave me everything I needed and despite it being a little more lengthy.. it didn't feel drawn out. Everything felt like it had it's place and was purposeful. I felt everything and was completely invested.
Did I mention how much I laughed?... Honestly my ribs hurt.
It's not often I read twists of fairy tails but I do know I love this authors writing. Her characters are something else.
Finley is a great character. It's not often I read twists of fairy tails but I do know I love this authors writing. Her characters are something else.
Finley is a great character. I will say with certainty that she is a character you will either love or hate. I genuinely don't think there is an in-between. She's blunt abrasive and rubs people like sand paper. She reacts with passion and of course that is not always the best way. but she is unapologetically herself and that is something I will always favour in characters.
Nyfin is of course our tortured hero with the sad boy complex. I mean it's not without reason but non the less he gives emotional whiplash through out fighting his feelings for, his anger at the world and his need to protect his kingdom. I was here for it.
Book one is UNHINGED to say the least. We have a Hadriel our shame filled mediocre butler. He is just something else. Then we have Leala our little pain seeking loves to be punished lady's maid. The two together ... hysterical. I cannot.
K F Breene knows how to right a story, build a layered world and develop complex characters. She had me hook line a sinker not knowing where it was all going but fully invested nonetheless. I laughed so hard I was crying. I sat in shook more times than I care to count truly flabbergasted at the antics. I swooned, I craved, I got frustrated and celebrated the wins. It was a roller-coaster but so worth the ride.
If you're looking for series this may not be for you.. The sarcasm is potent and the crazy high. But its a world I became fully immersed in and truly I was so excited to read what came next....more
Hate to Love/ Enemies to Lovers. Forced Proximity Marriage of Convenience MAFIA.
It's been done for yeFavourite book by Jessica ever. PERIOD. I CANNOT.
Hate to Love/ Enemies to Lovers. Forced Proximity Marriage of Convenience MAFIA.
It's been done for years. The marriage of convenience, when two people from different families are forced to marry to keep war at bay and bring a union together. A treaty of sorts. With rules of course.
Isabella did not spend her day thinking her whole world was about to change when she was so rudely snapped up and taken from everything she knows, and thrown into shark territory with no chance of surviving unscathed.
Primo is a man who bleeds for the family, works for the family and keeps the family running no matter what it takes to achieve all that. He understands he has to be the bag guy but that doesn't mean he isn't traditional when it comes to his values or his wife.
Lords above these two had my gut burning and my heart feeling like it was about to pump itself out of my fucking chest. The tension was so fucking tangible I could feel myself getting angsty with anticipation.
Isabella is a sweet woman who understood the life she was born into. She had the fire and the backbone but she also had dreams of her perfect wedding and a life with the one she'd love for a life time. Obviously that guy was never meant to be Primo. Isabella showed many admirable traits through her own person journey but I think the best one was her unwavering loyalty to her family and the knowing that the sacrifices she made was to save the ones she loved. That there is true strength. The kind you can't fake. However miss Isabella is a Mafia woman and she was not about to take her captivity laying down. She showed Primo that he really didn't know her and that she would fight him every damn step of the way in ways that he couldn't stop or have any control over. Let's just say the little lamb turned into a damn lion when she wanted to.
Primo is a prime hottie asshat that I'm living and dying for. That's my toxic trait.. wanting the asshole bahahaha. No seriously, what he did is unforgivable but also genius. He knew the only way to make the families see him was to give them something that would prevent war... even if he had to take something to do that. Let just say he didn't step off on the right foot but his intentions are understood and contrary to popular belief he is a monster but he's not that kind of monster. So he stole his soon to be wife and with that he stole her dreams but he wasn't going to take what was not freely offered to him. When I tell you is man is positively lethal... the sex appeal to him is unrivalled. He isn't sweet or tender, not even a little but he is present and true to himself with a side just for Isabella that made him appear more vulnerable and easier to understand.
They had the love to hate feelings down to perfection. Her throwing sass and him soaking in the attitude was foreplay. They pushed and pulled at eachother. They broke boundaries and somewhere along the line it started to mean more. She pushed at his hard and found something fucking precious and he pulled at her resentment and found unwanted need. They bounced around eachother, they fought, they teased and lord did they build eachother up to the point you don't think they can live up to the dirty expectations you have of them. Like the tension is just that fucking high. But they did. Boy did they... it was like they just combusted because they reached the point of no return and it was at the worst time ever but still it was fucking hot and I was swoooning like a crazy bitch.
Honesty they sucked the life out of me in the best ways. Their journey is turbulent to say the least filled with so much intensity, it's almost to much. I adored the back and forth cat and mouse game. I loved watching them both loose and win simultaneously. It was a marathon not a race for sure but it was worth every single minute of the crazy.
The side characters!!!!!. Just saying but if I don't get Brio I'm going to start a war. I need my animal giving psychopath like yesterday. Then we have Vissi and Mira.... I'm curious and wanting and praying they will be a them because the chemistry they have is insane. Then we have all the other characters who add so much personality to this crazy story. I love this world, these characters and their crazy lives. There is never a dull moment and it quickly became my favourite place to be.
Oh and the story... let's just say it leads to where I never expected and shook the ever loving shit out of me. GURLLLLL. I did not see it fucking coming. Flabbergasted.
Honestly... this series is epic and this is my favourite to date.

This queen legit killed it. I mean she does, always. BUT this one, it's a little darker. It's crosses lines she's hasn't before and I.AM.HERE.FOR.IT.ALL.
I Love the idea of Mafia romance and have loved several including the first book in the series but I normally don't dive in to many because the mafia world is a mans world and a lot of the time the women will always be second class and afraid or unable to voice their opinions. Me? I'm a bitches bitch. I like strong women who even in the most cut throat situation stand by their morals and hold their head high. This is why I love Jessica so damn much. Not only does she just give us phenomenal stories. She gives me fierce women who rock their own worlds. Fuck yes.
I mean come on.. we all knew going in that this story was going to be interesting after reading The Woman At The Docks where Lorenzo rocks up to a meeting with a chick in his trunk. Let me tell you you're in for a fucking treat. Jessica, and I don't say this lightly.. she out did herself here. This story is my favourite book second only to the Fall Of V. It's that damn good.
Lorenzo was a character I wanted immediately after reading about him in book one. I claimed him straight off. He's dark broody and all kinds of bad for you but that's what makes him so fucking good. His character is a well balanced mix of hard and unapologetically confident but one thing about these men is that they always stand by family first and they typically have a moral code that means they don't fuck with women and children. That is until he's sent to kidnap a certain woman.
Giana is the kind of heroine you'll immediately love and respect but will continue to fall even more in love with as her story unfolds. She strong, fierce and inspiring. If you love a character who doesn't give up, then this is the girl for you. She fights for herself the whole damn way and screw the consequences. Her character has so many layers I was continuously shocked throughout the story and just in awe of her. She's the epitome of survivor.
Giana and Lorenzo's journey is a crazy one filled with so many twist and turns you don't see coming. The chemistry between these two characters is pure fire despite them trying real hard to fight it. It only serves to fuel a burning inferno between them. The moments of resentment combined with that raw wanting leave you feeling all kinds of ways. These two are just pure fire together for better or worse and I couldn't get enough of it. I was so invested in them I can't even.
It's a very all consuming twisted forbidden rollercoaster that teases you with burning resented chemistry, dark humour and some real heart wrenchingly brutal relalites that hurt your soul. It's suspenseful, it's action packed and it's thrilling. Everything about them and the situation they find them selves in had me hooked from page one. It's just the kind of book that you open and get lost in. It isn't your sweet average romance. They are very much in that grey area of life where they do bad shit because they can and that's it. It's not sweet, in fact there is very little conventional sweet. However there are moments of raw vulnerability that shock you stupid because despite how invincible these characters seem it makes you realise they're just human and as a reader I can relate to that.
I love that these characters do not change because of love. They are exactly who they started as but they grow and evolve with eachother into something greater. The same and yet different. I love this crazy dark work Jessica has created with these multidimensional characters and page turning storylines that's leave you wanting need more. There just wasn't a moment in this book that didn't fit. Everything is so fucking seamless and I can't get enough of it.
Now give me Brio's book... I love me a psycho and he just seems like the right kind. Also.. Emilio because lord he makes my ovaries swoon.

As goes this is a pretty light bdsm book so if you're new to reading them or in fact don't like them then I'd definitely suggest this one. I personally have a love hate relationship with bdsm stories because I want the women to take charge and push the limits. I HATE submissive/doormat heroines period. That's it.. I just cannot deal with them. subs and bdsm go hand in hand so for me it has to be that perfect balance and I only have a handful of authors who tick that box for me.
This isn't your stereotypical damaged characters trying to erase their past with pain type of storyline. It's a women who's finally ready to test the waters on all her untold fantasies and a guy who just like to take control.. not because he damaged or broken but just because it's what gets his cock hard. It's actually fucking great because for once it is solely about their pleasure not their past.
Adley is super cute. A strong independent women who knows herself, is fierce and honest but also has that touch of innocence. I really enjoyed her character growth throughout the story! I love how she didn't loose her personality in the process of finding herself in pleasure. She's super relatable and easy to love. I got her fears, connected to her emotions and rooted for her the whole way.
DOM/the man I shall not name. I must be honest and say that it was one thing that irked me.. how she found out his name. It should of been him to tell her, one very small complaint but it did frustrate me a teeny bit. I loved him though! He frustrated me to no end because I just wanted him to feel more..but I guess that was his journey and I loved the way it played out. Strong and confident he was cock sure but it suited him. He kept true to his character throughout and boy did he have that dirty talk down to a T! Like seriously... you may need a pantie change after this one because it's deliciously dirty in all the best ways.
So a wrap up.....
I really did love this! It's written seemlessly. It's super tasteful and stays true to the plot. It's experimental and fun but it's also relatable which makes it easy to connect to. The characters, the story.. its complex almost raw and unapologetic but it fits. I love this author so I knew I'd love this but honestly she blew me away. I love that it's original to her instead of falling into that typical bdsm trend that's flying about. I cannot wait for what is to come!!! So many possibilities it's exciting.

I mean I absolutely willThe very fact that I have to wait a whole year for the third instalment to the Devil's Cradle series honestly hurts my heart. I mean I absolutely will. I know it will be worth the wait. But good lord it hurts my soul.
Ok so coming into The Nightmare in Him you should already be aware that this is not a standalone but just in case you were not, you are now. Don't read this without book one. It wont make sense and you will be spiting yourself the luxury of getting to know these characters from the beginning and the crazy that happens from then until now.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book. I mean I knew the obvious but in terms of secrets getting revealed and how Suzanne would develop this plot and these characters and just how much she would string us along with the unknown? That I wasn't sure off.
Safe to say she has the string with cheese and I'm the merry mouse after my snack.
Wynter is my favourite kind of character. She has her own mind and it's unshakable. She's strong, loyal and just absolutely genuine. Her circle is small but she loves hard and she isn't just there for a good time. She sees more than she maybe should. Doesn't take anything at face value and even when facing the absolute crazy she does.. It doesn't shake her. She isn't stupid enough to not fear but she is strong enough to look past that and see under the surface. She came from nothing and build her family of crazy who would, despite the dysfunction of it all, move mountains for her. She also has her own special kind of crazy that I just loved hard.
Cain is a master of manipulation. He excels in getting his own ways. He understands he is the monster and that life is not a fairy tale. He is cunning, arrogant and at times an all round asshole. However he is not unfair. He is not cruel for no good reason and whilst he will use everything to his advantage, he is not careless with those around him. He is quite the mystery that did answer a few questions in this story however. I was expecting some but I was still flabbergasted at the full picture we got here about the delicious Cain. His powers of seduction, His cravings for his lovely witch. He need to own her inside out. I mean I was not complaining. Cain is one of my favourite hero's of Suzanne. All dark, delicious and brooding.
There story is a continuation from book one so them being a them was not a shock. The palpable chemistry. The need for each other. They are a raging storm that consumes everything around them. I was here for it ALL. Wynter and Cain are perfection together. The bickering, the banter, the all consuming need. The loyalty. Even with all the secrets between them, there was understanding and acceptance. Something that neither had had from anyone else. I didn't once feel any kind of disconnect between them. There was no drama, or stupid filler bullshit. It felt like them against the world with a understanding that the time would come, secrets would be revealed and they would be there still regardless. I loved that for them. I felt that connection. I rooted for them. I was invested.
The Ancients and Aeons are a huge enigma in this series and you of course will be glad to know that some questions are answered as well of course, as some more questions being made. I love the development of this world and what that could mean for the future. I think things as interesting as they are, are about the get more intriguing. With many secrets unfolding I really do wonder where she will take this because I imagine the possibilities are endless and I have a feeling the peoples will want all the characters and their story.
I freaking love the Bloodrose coven and everything they represent. The absolute dysfunction of them. The outrages shenanigans. I cried tears of laughter so many times at our old Hattie and her love of dirty romance novels. I adore Xavier and his fibbing shenanigans as well as his need to raise the dead to get himself out of tricky situations. Anabel never ceases to amaze me being the contradiction she is with her crazy fear of death and paranoid rants trying to get the others to understand the impending doom. As well as her crazy Mary murderous streak. Then we have Delilha and her karma potions along side her wicked sarcasm. They are the epitome of crazy and dysfunctional and yet their loyalty and love for one another is unmatched. Oh and the bickering and banter is just next level excellence.
Then we have out Ancients. I am so intrigued about them and with the developments in this story I am even more curious about them individually. I wonder if they'll all get stories?. I'll of course hold reservations until we at least get some more information but at least for Seth and Azazel, I am so curious.
Oh and of course Noah and Rima... maybe the other but I shall keep that name to myself for now.
Now in the name of not spoiling things I'm going to wrap this up here.
The Nightmare in Him did not disappoint. We started off with a bang and the surprises kept coming whilst Suzanne teased us like crazy with the possibilities of what Cain could be, what was going on with Wynter.. What their future, if they had one at all would look like. She did a great job of progressing the plot and developing the characters in a way that felt organic to them. I mean Cain moves quick and he wasn't going to hang around in his efforts to keep Wynter but it was fun watching the game of cat and mouse and Wynter schooling Cain in the art of patience. The chemistry was crazy and the connection they have is undeniable but I loved getting to see those more vulnerable moments between these two very hard faced characters. I love the secondary characters and the large space they hold within this world. The endless laughter. The love and the loyalty. It all plays its part with the world tying everything and everyone together. Then of course we have the betrayals and the distrust as well as the what if's. Suzanne had me on the edge of my seat waiting, wondering and trying to guess who it could be. It was a rollercoaster to say the least but I was here for it all and am beyond excited to see where she takes this. The only shitty part is the wait for the next one!.
Loved it!.
Now to finish I will say this.. This is far more drawn out than The Dark in You series. Where we had a whole lot of questions answered in book one and then what was left in book two. This one is not that. I find myself with more questions that I had to start with and whilst I love that, I will say the unknown leaves my mind going crazy. I will say you do get to know what Cain is but there is still so many things we don't know and its exciting but also ... it's going to drive me crazy ! bahaha.

This series as a whole is not an easy pill to swallow. If you have triggers be careful.
I loved Aran even when I didn't like her. It is easy to say onThis series as a whole is not an easy pill to swallow. If you have triggers be careful.
I loved Aran even when I didn't like her. It is easy to say on the outside all of the things a person needs to do to fix themselves but the reality is when you are so broken you don't think your worth saving.. It is so very hard too fight that feeling or to accept that you deserve more. That was always the case for her and the journey she went on with her men.
I truly do love the dynamics of them all by the end. That being said I also believe there are parts that are long winded and very filler like that felt unnecessary. Parts that are repetitive or just felt like they should not of been in there. It did take away a little from the gratification on them finally all being together. Especially considering you don't get much of that when their journeys span three books. It didn't feel like enough for me personally slow burn or not.
Why 5 star.. because it is 5star. I'm being picky but make no mistake this story is great and from a emotional standpoint this book wrecked me seven ways from Sunday. I fell back in love with characters that quite frankly are unredeemable in their action. Including Aran. Yet this author found a way the pull the pieces together and make me love them again. I adored the quirks to each character and the dynamic of the relationships. I laughed harder than I should have and I cried like a baby. It truly was a rollercoaster wrapped in a dysfunctional bow at the end that I was here for.
Frankly I'm terrified for Jinx's story and what that would bring.
So to wrap this up its been crazy, emotional and at points had me questioning my choices. But that's the wonderful thing about books. How a stranger can make you feel all those things. It is wild. I'm looking forward to what else comes from this author but she for sure comes with a warning sign. ...more
I should probably start with the fact that I have already read all of Aran's stories. So I'm coming back to write this afOkay where do I start here..
I should probably start with the fact that I have already read all of Aran's stories. So I'm coming back to write this after the fact. Be patient with me whilst I try not to jumble everything up.
I think going in I already knew this would be a slower more painful burn. I did not anticipate just how slow. That being said it fit the characters and how their journey evolved.
John - The new bestie Aka the support system for Aran whilst Sadie can't be there. I loves him.
Orion - Creepy stalker. 100% the one playing in sheepskin whilst actually being a wolf. Cant speak (sort of). Corvus - Control freak dominant temper tantrum bully boy. The face leader. Lights on fire anytime. Scorpius - sadistic pain lover with creep stalker vibes with no shame. Also blind.
This one is a bitter pill to swallow because there were so many parts to every character that I just didn't like but I also understood the honesty for what it was. These characters are all painfully scarred and not in the least in their right minds for one reason or another. When I say it like that, it looks like I didn't like the story however that is not the case. I just need to be honest in the fact this book is tough and the contents are not for the faint of heart. It has severe abuse, torture, teasing and tension. It's a lethal combination. Especially given that this is book one of the three parts to Aran's journey and let me tell you in gets worse before better.
Saying that I did love this journey. I love Aran and just how broken she is and the fact she doesn't hide it. There are so many parts to her that you barely scrape in this book but this is the foundation of her and what becomes her rebirth. And baby, it is painful.
the tension and chemistry is insane and I really do love this weird world and all the possibilities it comes with.
Side note I under stand why Demetre and the boys where hinted at it the last book however I do feel like the narrative that is pushed is very wrong to the reality of the situation and it felt like a filler of sorts.
Lani never fails in her stories for me she is just my happy place in books. That's not to say I don't ugly cry. Woman. I tell everyone about Adam. TheLani never fails in her stories for me she is just my happy place in books. That's not to say I don't ugly cry. Woman. I tell everyone about Adam. There has been MANY. But Adam... That imprinted on my soul.
Anyway... I'm going in intentionally vague so you get to soak up all that is this emotional rollercoaster. I fancy this entire series has been a long standing WTF is going on in all the best and most heart-breaking ways. Of course why would Zip be any different. I'm scared for the last one. Lord knows what revelations we'll get there.
Zip is quirky and 100% authentically herself and I loved that for her. She's has so much depth is was great to finally get to pull back the layers to get a peak inside of what makes her tick. I was not disappointed.
Nash is a grade a AHOLE at first but there is so much boiling under that surface it gave me whiplash at first. He was a lot but also had so much to give and my heart broke for his circumstances. One I unfortunately find all too relatable right now.
Their journey had all the feels and much like all of Lani's story she did not hold back on the gut-wrenching emotion. But it also had a good dose of sweet, a whole lot of sassy, a pinch of frustration and dollop of delicious tension. I was here for it all. Including the side characters who some of which I definitely would love more from.
Read it, you wont be disappointed.
Now I shall anxiously wait for the last. I have a feeling she may have a surprise in store with that one....more

I freaking loved them. I love the fire they had and the fact you didn't know if they'd be fucking or fighting. I love me a surprise brother and the circumstances around Lore and Sin definitely made for an interesting plot twist. I like the development of Idess and her angelic future. It was a little crazy for sure but it kept me on my toes and I really enjoyed all the twists and turns that came along with the characters and their larger than life personalities.

I'm not normally one for second chance but paranormal is a little different and their circumstances most definitely are.
I loved me a woman who gets even and Runa is a woman not only scorned.. but scarred. She came in fierce and didn't let me down. She let Shade have it and boy was it precious. Their chemistry is crazy but the push and pull trying to fight the attraction. EVERYTHING. The journey was not smooth sailing by any means but that only served to build them up stronger for it in the end.
These brothers are wild and I love them for it. The world is shaping up the be very interesting and has kept me on my toes thus far. I can't wait to see what comes next. ...more

I love Sadie and whilst I understand she may not be for everyone.. she most definitely is for me. She's broken but she won't snap. She's fragile but not weak. She is annoying on times but also totally human in her responses. It wasn't and hasn't been an easy road for her but I rooted for her the whole way.
The men. WTF. It's all I'm going to say right now. Also I would like to be apart of the sandwich any day. DELISH....more

I feel like thok so the mood reader in me totally loved this book because it fit what I needed in the moment. Could their of been a little more depth? I feel like there could have been but in saying that it worked.
Sadie is just unfortunate. The poor girl just could not catch a break and just when you thing she'd about to something nasty happens again. It really was unfortunate for her because aside from her verbal splunders and random out bursts.. She got hit from all sides and it was painful to read at times. I also feel like she's super relatable. The sarcasm to hide the pain. The acceptance of crappy behaviour thrown at her. The lack of confidence and self esteem. Sadie is a piece of every girl I know in one way or another.
Jax is the sweet daddy guy. Cobra is the tortured broken Ahole. Ascher is the young stud with all the arrogance.
now I had to check myself because I've come back to write these reviews after reading all three and i don't want to slip up. Of course I couldn't write them as I went along.. that would have been to easy.
Anyways back to the men..
Each one is uniquely different therefore the dynamics with each man are not even remotely alike. Hilariously though Jax and Cobra are also in a situationship of sorts and have been long before Sadie came along. So as you can imagine.. it messy with a capital M. But I honestly was here for it.
I liked the world development and the plot progression. Even when I didn't like the characters at times they still made me feel all the feels. Those who don't mind a slow burn with angst and some real fisty fights between lovers.. this ones for you. Honestly it hit the spot for me today...more
Kristy never fails to bring these complex multidimensional characters to the table and take us the readers on a rollercoaster of emotions through out Kristy never fails to bring these complex multidimensional characters to the table and take us the readers on a rollercoaster of emotions through out their journey. These perfectly imperfect people who feel more than most, have been through more than anyone should and don't always get it right. This time though, it's all for them and their HEA.
Van is a man that is haunted by the past. A man that hates because it's easier than to hurt. A man that from the outside is a monster but beyond that is a vulnerable man whom wants answers and to ease the ache of the guilt he's drowning in. My prickly little burnt sunflower. He amused me more than I had a right to be amused by but beyond that his actions didn't always match his cutting words. He was kind in his own way. Loved more than he wanted to and in the end his redemption was his rebirth. A freedom of knowing and moving forward and damn it was a beautiful thing to read.
Reese my spicy little wildflower. She exceeded my expectations. She, despite her fears could survive amongst monsters and not only survive but thrive. That wasn't because she was a bad guy like she thought. It was because she was simply the sunshine our prickly sunflower needed to bloom. She made him more than his past, Showed him he was worth the love and that she could indeed love him even at his worst whilst showing him all the best parts of himself. She was fiercely loyal, feisty and independent. She was sweet and loved harder than she fought and, boy, did she fight hard. She was his perfect match in every way and baby if they were going to burn, they were dancing in those fames together.
These two consumed me with their poison and lit a fire with their passion. It was positively amusing watching them fight the lust knowing that in the end they'd burn together. They bickered and fought and, teased and, taunted and all it served to do was push them closer and closer. I was here for it all.
I was so surprised by the way their story unfolded and the developments along the way but a pleasant surprise it was on times. Kristy did a phenomenal job of conveying the importance of their journeys and evoking the emotion needed for the depths of them. It was a rollercoaster for sure and one that had my little black heart breaking in happy tears at the end.
I am also so bloody curious about the brothers. I means first those names. Second what is their story. How did they end up at Eden?... So many questions and I cannot wait to find out along the way for sure.
I'll come back when my thoughts are a little more together and add some more of my rambles. For this was everything....more

oh this one had my blood boiling in alYet again Neva has given us a very different story within this Perfectly Imperfect series and I am here for it.
oh this one had my blood boiling in all kinds of ways my friend.
Alessandro did not come in here with friendly vibes. He was a man with a plan and nothing was shaking than. Especially not what appeared to be a stuck up mafia tart who though she was better than everyone right? WRONG. Boy he got this one so wrong. But he made up for it. Despite his trauma he protected her when he knew. He hated that he came to love her but he loved her with everything in him. This man is a lethal weapon in everyway and even when he frustrated me I still loved him.
My girl Ravenna is a queen. She put up with all manner of foul for her family and she did it whilst keeping herself . She was strong, sweet and she loved her momma and shit head brother despite the shit he did to get her in the situation she was in. I had nothing but made respect for her and how she handled herself. Even when I wanted her to shoot them all.
Their story is definitely a whole lot different to look and then the rest giving how Ravenna lived and the fact she was married. I felt a whole rollercoaster of emotions through this story and the journey that was Rav and Al. It's definitely not an easy read but lord did it make me feel.
Plus a Al, Sergei and Felix reunion is everything I needed and then some. I'm so glad my broken man got his happy and gave Rav the life she deserved.
Another fabulous addition to this series for sure. ...more

Isabella is my favouritOh Luca you dirty mother fucker. Who'da thunk this man would be such a dirty possessive freak in the sheets though. Delicious.
Isabella is my favourite heroine of this series thus far and I've read all 8 already. I'd Give my tits to read the 9th already but atlas I can't so this is where I'm at.
Isabella is a powerhouse of a woman. A woman who is hugely underestimated by everyone outside of her pop and mom. No one seen her coming and I was here cackling evil laughs at her being a queen the whole damn time. She knew what she wanted and fought for it. She was loyal to a fault, sweet and gave a fuck. I stan Isa.
Luca is a little shit bag for a hot minute fighting the inevitable. That being said I also understood. I loved that he was trying to protect Isa even when he pushed her away. I also loved the fact he appeared so prim and yet this man reeked of dirty nasty promises in secret. I was here for it.
Their story was interesting to say the least. I loved the push and pull even when it pissed me off. The end was perfection though and their dynamic as a hole fit right when they actually had their shit together.
I'll be back when I do a re read to actually make sense of this review but just know really fucking love this series. ...more

I will say you do get to know what Cain is but there is still so many things we don't know and its exciting but also ... it's going to drive me crazy ! bahaha.

This whole book is a straight up trip. From page one I was completely consumed in the dark forbidden depths of this story and it's unique characters. Stella and Jay are not easy characters and their also completely opposite in some ways whilst simultaneously being similar in others. Its a train wreck, one you know will rip your heart to shreds but you can't stop reading. I couldn't tear myself away even if I wanted to because they had me a slave to their story. The interesting part... it's only just the beginning. I can't even.
Stella is a contradiction. Her appearance screams wealth and high maintenance and yet she's anything but. Yes she wears her gorgeous sinfully expensive shoes and purses and dresses like she ready for the catwalk. Yes she's becoming a well known and wanted stylist around the fashion world, not just LA where she lives. She enjoys the luxuries of life. She grants herself them because she works her ass off to afford them. Stella has never been giving the easy rode in life. Her hard work ethic and talent is what got her to where she is. That and her supportive father who brought her up right with the good useful kind of values. She's light and sweet and happy wrapped in a gorgeous package. Well, that's what she shows the world anyway. But there is a darkness coursing through her. A need to not thinks so much, work so hard or chase the demons away constantly. Stella is a strong, powerful and independent woman. One with depth and layers. A character that has more that meets the eye. She has substance that's tangible.. relatable. A rawness that is honest.
Jay. That man. He's the villain of his story. He doesn't leave room for arguments. There is no hearts and flowers or declensions of love. He will never be your story book ending. His character is fascinating to me with his impenetrable walls built so high nothing can touch him. He controls every aspect of everything in his life. But I see the fractures in his well built facade. They say if someone shows you their ugly believe it and I did. But there's more. I don't think there will even be soft but under all the hard is unimaginable pain and damage. A darkness that consumes. Nightmares that haunt. He protects others but giving the worst of himself because he doesn't believe himself to be capable of more but I see through it. I mean it's real, the nasty... the broken... the rage. It suffocates you it's that palpable. I should hate him, but I can't because that perfectly imperfect flawed man in all his glory screams danger and destruction but with a whisper or redemption. I want him to have that.
These characters ripped me apart. His need to control and her need to let go. It's not really all that different when you think about it. Both of them have darkness seeping through but Jay wears his like a skin, a barrier, and Stella buries her deep where she thinks others won't find it. They are infuriating and fascinating. Both are so depthy I could dig for days and still not have all of them. The many sides we've seen already still don't begin to cover who these characters are. Both beautifully flawed and fractured to life. She feels to much and he tries to not feel at all. The counterpart to eachothers soul, they are a beautiful disaster and a tragic masterpiece. The tension is crazy. My body was coiled in turmoil waiting, wondering what the fuck was coming next. The chemistry is explosive in a way that took me back. I didn't expect it, I wasn't prepared. They are dangerous.. to eachother, to themselves and to us readers. Their journey is so all consuming. Anne has this magical ability to devour us whole with her stories. I found myself drowning in every emotion like it was own. It's unpredictable, it's heartwrenching and it infuriating. I shouted, I paced, I spat profanities at the injustices whilst I rooted for more of the sin. It's a mind fuck but one I didn't want to get off. It's like physiological warfair.
This is just the beginning and I'm already fucked so lord help me for the next one. Is one straight up snatched my soul and I know the next will take my heart. I'm all ready preparing myself for it. I loved Jay and Stella. I love their story even when I hated it. I loved them even when I shouldn't. They characters speak to me in a special way and I'm so beyond needy for the next book. I need to know, to understand. I need fucking answers and I know the wait will kill me. Dramatic?.. absofuckinglutely but it is what it is.
P.s if you made it to the end well done. Also.. I'm sorry for the crazy. My head is fried. Holy book hangover.

I did not read a thing about this book. Sometimes going in blind is the best way for me and my quick changing moods. HOWEVER... I should of known Monica would whip out a freaking cliff hanger!!!. That ending left me flabbergasted.
Paige/Mia is a character I really enjoyed. She's complex wearing a cloak of tough to shoulder the world she had to fight to survive in. When greeted with kindness she shrank away not know what to do with people who were kind for no reason other than to be kind. It wasn't something she had experienced, ever. Under all the tough was a young women who looked after grampa Hank, the old man who showed kindness despite his circumstances. A women who stood up for her friend against bully's. Someone who saw good in a bad boy who thought himself a villain. Red was sweet, caring and protective of those who came to mean the world to her.
Quinn oh boy did he piss me off. That one scene I wanted to ring his neck. However The man in his own way was trying to do what he though was right. He was trying to walk that tight rope of falling for her and loving his brother enough to let him have her. Welp sometimes in life we just got to be selfish. Man I loved how cocky confident he was. I loved his need to help, to keep her safe and to wind her up all at once. He's a good man. He is the man, I never for one second thought otherwise.
These two stressed me out but that slow burn chemistry was everything. The push and pull between them had me on the end of my seat waiting, wondering when the volcano would erupt. They just got each other, understood the boundaries and whilst testing the limits never pushed before it was meant to happen. I loved the teasing and playful banter. I craved the moments of sweet they had. They were everything even if it was a hot mess.
It was always Quinn I cannot be told different. However.. Tristan was a sweetheart. He truly was a great man all round. Tabitha was also such a great character who added so much depth to the story. She is the perfect example of, from the outside living the perfect rich life but internally... suffering because looks can be deceiving and life even with money isn't all fun and games. I loved the dynamics between all the characters and the relationships that grew along the way. The chemistry between them is perfect!.
So this one is a doozy and let me tell you Hank stole the show. Grandpops won all my love with his never ending kindness and empathy. The man is a saint. All in all I was locked in from day one completely invested in Paige's journey and what would come of her escaping her nightmares. It did not disappoint. Monica took me on a rollercoaster of emotions and left me gusping all the gasps. It's safe to say I need book two ASAP. Quinn better not fuck up....more
