The Daymakers was exactly what I needed when I stumbled upon it while looking for a “palate cleanser” to get me out of a funk. It was overall a light and fun (ignoring Charlotte’s past abuse) and smutty standalone read!
The rockstar reverse harem premise reminded me a lot of CM Stunich’s Groupie trilogy which I loved! But the masked bank thing gave this story and the plot a nice twist that made the story more unique.
The ending seemed a bit fast paced with a bit of instalove- or at least very quick falling, but everything was wrapped up nicely into a HEA and implied a nice future for Charlotte and the guys! Overall a fun read that was just what I needed at the time. ...more

So when I absolutely fell in love with this story I was kinda shocked but so happy.
Roonie is almost unbelievably innocent in a way that I found adorable and refreshing. Her love of fairytales- happy fairytales not the type you'd read in Grimm's- and inability to hold back her music really endeared her to me. When her abusive father finally forces her from her home she thinks her life is over, when really it is just beginning. Running into Tate and later meeting Charles and JJ is probably the best thing to happen to Roonie. These wealthy and talented men are almost too good to be true- but their a cappella teammate Silas definitely isn't (which I'm really hoping will change in the next book bc I kinda like him lol).
This story was not what I was expecting in the best way and I'm really really excited to read more of Roonie and the guys of LUV Academy in book 2 (hopefully very soon)....more

Tessa grew up with a musician father, sneaking into bars to watch his band play and dreaming of being a singer. But after his death, she goes to college, listening to her mom instead of her dreams. Now she works for a record company, who offers her a promotion- if she can get a band who hasn't produced new music in years to create a new album by the end of the year.
Malus is a band with problems. The lead singer hasn't felt inspired in years, instead he works his way through the groupies at every venue. Another member hasn't made it a day without drinking in who knows how long. The third member has anxiety problems. And the last is a giant of a man with some attitude problems and a habit of intimidating everyone. But with Tessa's help, the guys are able to take a break, return to their roots, and really come together as a band and a group of friends again.
At first glance, Encore is just a rockstar reverse harem story with typical bada*s guys and the sweet and helpful girl who makes them see the error of their ways. But in actuality, this story is so much more. It deals with alcohol addiction and recovery, crumbling friendships, and important lifestyle decisions. Plus there's some intense romance and steam in this book! Tessa and the guys are amazing characters, each with their own pasts giving them depth that really brought them to life in my eyes.
I can't wait to read more by Lane Hart in the future!...more

Seeing Lilith transition from a broken girl with nothing and no one to becoming the glue that heals and brings together five rockstars was amazing. Pax, Ran, Cope, Muse, and Michael played crucial roles in allowing Lilith to heal from her father's death and the betrayals she has experienced throughout her life. But Lilith also saved them. They were a band falling apart, drowning their sorrows and growing resentments. But one broken girl in need of healing managed to save them.
This series was so beautiful and I loved watching their relationship develop and the guys figure out their roles with Lilith and each other. CM did is a remarkable author and I can't wait to read more of her stories! ...more

This book delves deeper into the characters and their relationship, exploring new dynamics within the group. Pax and Ran are two characters with major emotional conflicts. I loved getting a closer look at their relationship and how it affects the group. We also get to learn much more about Michael and finally see him enter the relationship with Lilith!
This book also continues to show Lilith dealing with her father's death. As she continues on tour with the guys, they eventually make it to her childhood home on the east coast where she gets a chance to say goodbye. We also get a closer look at Muse's past here which is another heartbreaking revelation.
There is so much pain in this book but what's really amazing is the way Lilith and the guys deal with it.
CM has blown me away once again. Rock-Hard Beautiful is an amazing series so far and I can't wait to read about the group's tour in Europe!...more
