When it comWicked Scandalthe second interconnected Standalone in author Rachel Leigh’sMisfitsseries ended up being an unexpected story to me. When it comes to Reverse Age-Gap, it's usually a trope that has me steering clear of it with not being the biggest fan. But in Wilder and Catherine’s case, the story ended up being worth the read IMO.
With the narrative's development keeping an ongoing flow, it not only kept the story moving forward in a prompt and timed manner. But also progressing onwards steadily, paving the way for every page turn to be continuous, whilst falling further into the unfolding of Wilder and Catherine's story. It's ultimately what kept you reading on with each page flip.
As for the character development, there was much to learn and take in when it came to Wilder and Catherine as individuals. More so within their POV chapters that pulled back their layers, allowing for you to get a real feel for them and their personality. Particularly from their inner monologue that opened them up even further. As well as within the development of their relationship taking them from Student/Teacher to lovers, paving way for some Fiery Spice within the passionate, yet naughty moments Wilder and Catherine shared together.
My main problem was there did not seem to be enough detail presented within the exploration of Wilder and Catherine’s relationship. And what didn't help was what was shown felt a little too rushed through for my liking, taking away from playing out their journey a little more thoroughly. In my opinion, it would’ve been nice to see it being explored and further developed with a deeper in-depth look. Especially given Catherine's current predicament with being married, so the Taboo and Reverse Age-Gap element would've had you expecting more exploration.
In the end,Wicked Scandalstill ended up being a pleasantly enjoyable read when it came to following the emotional journey that was Wilder and Catherine's story. A job well done for Rachel Leigh, who has me excited to read more fromMisfitsseries.

InThe Home Wrecker, book 2, an interconnected Standalone, we follow the story of husband and wife Caleb and Briar Goode and Dean Sheridan through the telling of multiple POVs within a Cheating, Enemies to Lovers, MMF Romance.
Split into Four Parts, whilst jumping between the past and present, the story never once hindered your reading experience, since the connectivity was always there. Never to allow for a broken or disjointed moment, which is why this real page turner from author Sara Cate had you gripped all the way through. As it did for me.
A jam packed narrative, but never feeling overwhelming,The Home Wreckerincluded many aspects and elements to bring such a filling plot. Whether it was from exploring the instability relationship between husband and wife Caleb and Briar, seeing them venture through ups, downs with their back and forth given their lack of communication causing further distance between one another. To the changes within the exploration once guest house member Dean makes his presence known to both and that too individually at times. Leading to some bumps in the road with the drama that emerged from it, resulting in some tough matters needed to be faced head on due to the crisis it brought on for Caleb, Briar and Dean too. Ultimately creating a whirlwind rollercoaster ride that the three were put through all throughout. Not only together, but also individually from their own personal demons needed to be faced and fought to overcome, considering the challenges on top of everything else that came from the outside with family members and their drama.
With all this going on was it any wonder that it made for one strong angsty and super emotionally charged journey. Sara knew how to pack a punch from the outpour of emotions. From times of hardship that had you feeling Caleb, Briar and Dean's pain, heartache, sadness and grief. To the highs from the lightness that bought about happiness, adoration, care and joy. As well as from the Spicy steam shared between Caleb, Briar and Dean. Let it be known each scene had the temperatures rising to being OFF THE CHARTS FIRE, from the Super Hot and Sizzling, Uninhibited and Unrestrained Sexiness, given the Passionate, Lustful, Sensuality they delivered at the time with one another in those moments. Resulting in letting loose with getting down and dirty like animals in the heat.
The development within the characters by author Sara was presented very well IMO. With showcasing the very in-depth thorough details, it allowed you to explore within Caleb, Briar and Dean's minds given their POV chapters that presented their inner monologues on a personal level. Ultimately having us really get down and deep into the nitty grittiness with each of the characters. All the whilst exploring everything they had to offer and say from their actions to their words, as well as when facing and suffering through trials and tribulations, due to the issues they were each dealing with as well as the ones that connected them to one another. Honestly the characters Caleb, Briar and Dean had me feeling like they were very real, giving the authenticity that Sara bought out of them through the changes and building within the growth encountered as the story progressed.
Given the amazing writing of author Sara Cate presented withinThe Home Wrecker, was it any surprise this story had you hook, line and sinker. It just kept on giving throughout that you couldn’t stop even if you wanted to. Then again with a narrative that showcased a very thorough and in-depth storyline, bringing elements of very genuine, real life subject matters and topics to the characters who helped bring the authenticity side to it which helped build into it. All whilst showcasing their changes and growth to be had through their personal development. It was no wonderThe Home Wreckerwas a 5 ⭐️ for me! Major props to Sara Cate for a terrific job well done, this book was truly chefs kiss! Can’t wait for the next book inThe Goode Brothersseries to come.

Sizzlea Student/Teacher, Surprise Pregnancy, Small Town Romance brings us the story of Gabrielle and Liam through the telling of their dua3/3.5 ⭐️
Sizzlea Student/Teacher, Surprise Pregnancy, Small Town Romance brings us the story of Gabrielle and Liam through the telling of their dual perspectives. This book by new to me author Carrie Aarons is the third Standalone inAshton Familyseries.
Following Gabrielle and Liam on their journey made for an interesting read. From being unexpected in some ways, which even though had me surprised, it still kept me reading on.
The relationship path travelled for Gabrielle and Liam was not an easy one. Then again given the circumstances that bought them into each other’s lives it was to be expected with causing problems. Mostly which came from Gabrielle’s side, ultimately leading to navigating upon a rocky terrain. This helped to give the plot intrigue, seeing just how the two would figure it out and make it work. Especially for Liam who had his work cut out for him in convincing Gabrielle that not only were they made for each other, but to give him a chance in order to prove it.
The storyline did have you in different feels upon seeing Liam and Gabrielle’s interaction, as well as when they slowly started to take steps into building a relationship together. One that consisted a lot of back and forth from the pushing and pulling, again mostly from Gabrielle’s side, all courtesy of her hold ups given the way she grew up to be. Something that Carrie had us learning about through Gabrielle'sPOV chapters.
WhilstSizzlewas a decent read, there were some issues to be had IMO. My biggest one was from the story feeling a little too long winded, particularly when it came to the subplot. Due to all the thorough detail and explanation, it had my attention straying away from the book at times. The other issue came from the ending being very abrupt IMO, ultimately catching me off guard with not realising that the end was the end. It just seemed very rushed with how quickly the loose ends were tied up, some of which just seemed to be tied for the sake of having it being completed given the results that were delivered IMO. There was also the case of there not being much character development, since the subplot seemed to overshadow Liam and Gabrielle’s part of the narrative at times. And so it meant you couldn’t really connect to the characters as well.
Overall, for being my first read by new to me author Carrie Aarons,Sizzlewas still a decent read having liked bits and pieces of Liam and Gabrielle’s story in the end. Even despite my issues stated.

Forgot To Say Goodbyeby S.L. Scott is my second read from the author, having only discovered her last year withBest I Ever Had. And so after finding out about this book, there was no way that it was going to be missed out on by me.
Following Olivia ‘Liv’ Bancroft and Noah Westcott’s journey meant exploring their relationship which S.L. Scott put very much effort into with the telling of through their dual perspective. Having given her all from the time spent developing in navigating through this relationship given the thorough detail. It was no surprise that the spotlight heavily shined down on Liv and Noah and their blossoming relationship. Yet it was understandable so, since it held major significance considering the storyline revolved around it with being one of the main aspects to the plot, since it was a Second Chance trope.
Considering where it all started and how they came to be again with this second chance. It’s what paved the way for their relationship to progress forward with Liv and Noah being able to slowly yet surely move forward in the steps they took. Further building upon their connection with the bond they had. And with the emotions explored, whilst navigating through ups, downs and back and forth, it did at times make for a somewhat bumpy ride, at least in the beginning. Giving their relation a more genuine feel. But as time went on the changes within them individually showed the growth both Liv and Noah had gone through. Especially due to some of the obstacles and hurdles they had to venture through and overcome.
Watching Liv and Noah’s relationship flourish made for an enjoyable read, even more so from the emotions it pulled out of you. What was not to love? Especially when S.L. Scott had you feeling warm and gooey from the passionate and heartwarming moments. Or swooning and sighing when it came to the romance.
Let it be known, other than the relationship aspect of the narrative, there was more to the storyline on the outskirts from the subplots. Which just so happened to include secondary characters that came from being friends and family of both Liv and Noah, considering the connections some of them had to the subplots. Some of which brought mystery, secrets, lies and deceit, on top of drama and the growing of underlying suspense surrounding it. Resulting in a fairly packed storyline as a whole.
Sorry to say there were a couple of faults for me, one being wanting less time jumps. After the first, a few too many followed on from it, which in all honesty made it feel like it was a way to rush the rest of the story in order to fit everything in, especially given the time that was left once the time jumps became a little consistent. Hence it leading to the ending being rushed, particularly around a certain subplot that had held some importance in the beginning. Only to be glossed over at the end IMO. The way it was quickly presented before us from the answers we were given, it honestly made it seem inconsequential. Leaving me slightly disappointed, as it had me expecting more from it. Especially when you took into consideration how big of a deal it seemed to be from the way Noah presented it at times throughout.
In the end, S.L. Scott came through with writingForgot To Say Goodbye,a wonderful Contemporary Romance. It not only had you rooting hard for Liv and Noah from following them along in their emotionally charged journey. But also feeling all their emotions deep within in this warm and heartfelt story.

This novella may have been split into fours shorts following four friends/hockey teammates consisting of Ethan Galloway aka The Sex God, Liam Carlisle aka The Best Friend, Casey Pierce aka The Man Slut and Asher ‘Ash’ aka Mr. Cougar Town. But given that each story continued on from the previous with being one after another, it's what resulted in the interconnected narrative coming across as one story overall, especially once all was said and done.
The mini stories that Katy treated us to through each of the guys POVs inHockey House V-Cardsgave us a look into each of them. Allowing a sneak peek into their lives as well as the type of people they are and were once upon a time. As well as giving a sort of preview for what's to possibly come from each of the books withinNolan Useries.

However crazily enough for me it is my first read from the series. But rest assured, after reading this, the others from the series have now been pushed up on my TBR list to read ASAP.
A plot that gave you a well and thorough character development through the POVs of Eden ‘Madame Kink’ St. Claire, Clay Edmund Bradley and Jade Penner. Alongside the story telling, that included flashbacks, helping to fill in the missing gaps. And with the addition of drama, major angsty-ness that created some suspenseful moments, considering the whirlwind that was this emotionally charged journey, having you feeling Eden, Clay and Jade’s sentiments alongside them. Seeing as there were moments where it just came pouring out. It was no surprise author Sara Cate had you hooked, causing you to get lost in Eden, Clay and Jade’s storyMadame.
Can’t forget about the heat Sara packed, it was like an explosion going off every time. Each and every Spicy moment between Eden, Clay and Jade became more and more saucy. Upping the heat, given the Fiery, Smut that just kept on giving. It was Raunchy and Risqué, as well as Uninhibited, Lustful, and Torrid with all the Sizzle. Simultaneously it was passionate and loving, from the emotions that would come into play. Embracing the strong feelings within to come out and be known within their steamy moments shared.
Eden’s character development shined bright to say the least. The fact that Sara showcased quite a well exploration done so within her character development, leading to a lot of growth was proof of this. Seeing her struggles with constantly fighting her personal demons, courtesy of her inner monologue making this well known allowed us to see a more vulnerable side to her. Which had you feeling for her, given the emotions that came from her in each events and situation she found herself in. This was a major change to how she personified herself at Salacious Players Club, when working. Almost as if she was playing a part, never really being her full true self, despite her saying so. Given the hard yet strong exterior she put out there. Due to her split personalities, the one at home as Eden, and the one at work as Madame Kink.
As for Clay we were also able to explore a lot within his character and the journey. From the history him and Eden shared, something that was showcased through flashbacks. Allowing us to fill in the missing gaps in putting together their story. To his current relationship with Jade, there was a lot of unwind and divulge into. Simultaneously we were able to learn about Clay on a deeper level, given all that he went through, from the suffering endured leading to him experiencing pain, hurt and heartbreak. Something Sara always made sure was well known within the inclusion of his inner monologue. Presenting a further in-depth level to his character, especially with the many layers that made him who he was. Due to all the changed he went through.
When it came to Jade, her character was opened up to us not only from her inner monologue that allowed her to speak her words within her feelings and emotions. But also through her POV, she was able to let her story be told, not just in regards to her family life. That too of her personal life involving Clay and later on Eden too. The insight gave us more to her character, due to the development that was explored.
My only critique was there didn’t seem to be enough development within Eden and Jade’s relationship. When you compare it to the relationship Eden and Clay shared, IMOEden and Jade's relationship didn’t feel as genuine, especially given how quickly Jade fell into it with no hesitation or second guessing in anything whatsoever. Particularly when you take into account of when they were at the club and their interactions together. There just didn’t seem to be any real build or even a connection, more like feeling being acknowledged, with no deep exploration behind it, of how and where it really came from. Particularly on Jade's side. This is why it would’ve been nice to hear a little more from Jade’s perspective about exploring a new relationship, both emotionally and physically, seeing as this was all new to her. And maybe it was just me, but the girl on girl action sometimes read as just that, girl on girl smut, as opposed the blossoming of a real relationship being explored and opened up in getting a feel for one another.
All in all, Sara Cate came through with bringing to life a heartfelt, deeply emotional charged, angsty story. Consisting of super Fiery and Smoking Hot steam with deeply major feels! Having you lost in the words, it was no surprise the story of Eden, Clay and Jade was a real page turner, devouring and consuming each and every page. From top to bottom. Ultimately resulting inMadamebeing such a great read overall.

If you thought Heart Sick was mind blowing-ly captivating, given the amazing opener she delivered in the start of the explosive Heart Memory Transfer duet series. Well then let me tell you to think again, because it doesn't compare to what was delivered in Love Sick, the final chapter of the duet series. The continuation of Luna and Dutch’s story had you navigating through many shocking surprises from all the twists and turns that Monica James had us stumbling upon. All in this topsy, turvy, dark and deviantly, depraved rollercoaster she had us riding upon, that made it a Top Fav Read of 2023 of mine!
Picking right on up from the cliffhanger ending inHeart Sick,Monica had us diving back headfirst into the continuation of Luna and Dutch’s story withLove Sick.
Just when Monica had me thinking it could not get anymore - pardon my language - F*CKED UP, she proved me wrong. And that too on EPIC proportions. Not only did she up the ante, but she took it to a whole other world, let alone level. This ride that was Luna and Dutch’s journey took you through the king of all labyrinths, considering the additions of so many more ups, downs and major twists and turns that came and hit you out of nowhere from the narrative being so unexpected at times. Resulting in Monica keeping you on your toes, whilst bringing you to the edge of your seat, biting your nails, with your heart practically zooming in anticipation of what's to come.
In nearly every corner, there seemed to be explosions, one after another, some of EPIC proportions, shocking your mind and leaving you stunned from the revelations made and disclosed. Bringing the story to an all new high, whilst leaving you in a tizzy, from your mind reeling in trying to comprehend it all and put together the puzzle pieces that was Luna and Dutch's complex story.
On top of that, there was also the case of the exploration through the many emotions that Monica continuously poured out from each and every page, showcasing an in-depth look and feel for the characters. Considering the raw, nitty grittiness of their feelings that were exposed to us, courtesy of their individual POVs. Making it a real page turner from being able to connect to the characters on a deeper level, from understanding and feeling what they were experiencing and going through, considering the many highs and lows in Luna and Dutch's journey. It definitely had me choked up, hyperventilating, internally screaming and freaking out all throughout.
Luna and Dutch’s story may have reeled me inHeart Sick, but withLove Sick, this book had me hook, line and sinker. Leading to falling down the abyss that was this crazy, adventurous, twisted and depraved, action packed, thrilling, dark romance. Luna and Dutch had entrapped you with not only the tumultuous path to their chaotic love story. But also the journey of self discovery, healing, growing and recovery, given the trials and tribulations they faced and were put through in their own individual ways. Whilst testing their strength due to the hardships they endured. Ultimately helping them come to terms with themselves, their life and the answers they had been searching for, which along the way had their paths align in interconnecting, given their shared goals that brought them back to one another and overcome all that needed to be together.
In the end, Monica James came through with delivering a EPICALLY phenomenal finale to the end of Luna and Dutch’s story. Love Sickwas hands down spectacularly amazing, with an emotionally charged, drama packed, suspenseful filled, psychological thriller that in all honesty went above and beyond my expectations. Ultimately making it not only a 5 ⭐️ read for me, but also landing in my Top Fav Reads of 2023!

Surprising The Billionaire With a Babyis the second book in new to me author Elizabeth LynxBlue Ridge Mountain Billionaireseries.
After getting locked in a closest Montgomery ‘Monty’ Diaz finds himself alone and naked, that is until Julia Nutters stumbles upon the room and end up locking herself with him. Eventually leading to the two sharing an explosive night together, despite being strangers and not knowing much about each other. But what happens after is where the unexpected adventure begins.
When it came to the narrative the book did deliver in having the elements to keep you reading on; drama, suspense, mystery, entertainment and a whole heck of Fiery steam! On top of having two characters like Monty and Julia, who had you intrigued not only from seeing the chemistry they shared, courtesy of the Fire they caused, or the funny banter between the two. But with following their journey, particular when it came to their reunion, which is what made it a fun read to say the least.
Given how short the story was, it made it feel and seem like it was a novella. Especially due to how quick of a read it turned out to be. Particular when you took into account the many time jumps, which is why there were some qualms to be had IMO. Honestly it had me wishing the narrative had been expanded on more, by allowing for the story to be longer in playing out further, something that was very much needed IMO. From the expansion, not only would it have allowed the overall storyline develop more, since there didn't seem to be much of a progress throughout. But also it would've presented the case of exploration within Monty and Julia’s relationship, since there wasn’t much of an in-depth look into them with showcasing their growth to be further built upon. In the end, it's what ended up making the book feel a little too rushed IMO with how quickly everything came to be and end with a HEA.
Despite my qualms, withSurprising The Billionaire With a Babybeing my first read from Elizabeth Lynx, she still did a good job with it being a light and funny, making it a decent read overall....more

Honestly my mind is still trying to comprehend the utter sheer perfection that was Heart Sick by new to me author Monica James. Monica had me devouring this book in a one sitting read, which is why not only was it a 5 ⭐️ for me. It also ended up being a Top Fav Read of 2023 of mine!
HOLY MOTHER CHUCKER!
Having read the blurb, the story still did not have me prepared for the whirlwind rollercoaster ride that Monica delivered when it came to this mystifying, Gothic Horror, Psychological Thriller that was the story of Luna Huxley and Dutch Atwood.
The storyline was completely unexpected to say the least, particularly when you took into account the hectic, overwhelming and chaotic path that Luna and Dutch were travelling upon. Ultimately leading you through the biggest complexity that was their lives and journey.
From all the ups and downs and twists and turns delivered at nearly every corner in the labyrinth that was Luna and Dutch were made to navigate through. It was no surprise thatHeart Sickhad my emotions all in disarray from everything that I was feeling all throughout. What with being an emotionally charged, angsty driven narrative. Plus with the shocking explosive plot twists Monica seemed to drop in unexpectedly, it had me thrown for a loop from being unanticipated. Resulting in me being further gripped on more than ever.
The more the story developed, the deeper it lured me in. And it was even more so when it came to following along Luna and Dutch as characters, courtesy of the dual POVs. Hearing their inner monologues allowed Monica to showcase an in-depth view into the exploration of the characters. The closer and detailed look made for them to be opened up to us on a deeper level. All of which was done from their layers being unravelled, leading to the exposure of their raw inner most intimate thoughts. Alongside the nitty grittiness, considering all that the two continued to face and deal with that was made known to us.
With all the situations and events that took place, it led to the continuous building of suspense-fulness surrounding the piling up of many mysteries that were being alluded too, alongside the growing amount of secrets hinted at that plagued you all through. Leading you to follow along into the unknown, from not knowing what to expect or would happen next. It honestly felt like the more you read, the more questions were raised, but no answers given to fill in the missing pieces of the puzzle that was Luna and Dutch's life story. Resulting in Monica keeping you on the edge of your seat, whilst simultaneously biting your nails in anticipation with wanting to know everything and solve the jigsaw once and for all.
That cliffhanger…no words whatsoever! All that can be said is the anticipation in wanting to read the next book in Luna and Dutch’sHeart Memory Transferduet series is killing me slowly as we speak. Corrupt Unionis the final instalment in Nico and Bri’s trilogy fromKnight’s Ridge Empireseries. The story has us jumping right back in, picking up from the cliffhanger inCorrupt Princess.
Once again Nico and Bri’s journey continued to be an ongoing path filled with deep-seated emotions, even more so thanCorrupt KnightandCorrupt Princess. Part of it came from their feelings towards one another that was still being explored and the other part courtesy of the outpour from the angsty-ness that seemed to be never ending. Although seeing as the situations and events the two continued to face together and individually, it wasn’t surprising. Especially with all the mayhem thrown on top given the drama that came about. Ultimately leading to an even more hectic rollercoaster ride, considering the major hurdles they faced. Alongside the ups, downs, turns and loops they ventured through.
From the revelations coming to light, along with secrets finally being divulged, it allowed for the puzzle to finally be completed when it came to Nico, Bri, their endgame and the mystery behind the death of Nico's father. However it didn’t end there considering the shocking twists that Tracy threw in, which was definitely unexpected to say the least. Corrupt Princesshad us jumping right back into Nico and Bri’s story, picking right up from whereCorrupt Knightended on the cliffhanger.
Again Tracy had us joining alongside Nico and Bri on their wild ride, given the chaotic, hectic and messy journey that was their lives. Whether that be together or individually, considering the continuation of suspenseful build up surrounding everything going on from secrets yet to be uncovered leading to some twists and turns here and there. And major drama within the complexity that is their relation.
A lot of emotions came pouring out of this story, yet it was understandable so given the situations that are faced from the events Nico and Bri endured. Leading to a whole load of angsty-ness that had us exploring deeper into their minds. Seeing their inner personal thoughts surrounding the feelings towards not only each other, but their lives too with all that was going on at the same time. And that was all on top of them trying to figure out their feelings towards one another given their love-hate relation that made for a never ending back and forth battle.
When it came toCorrupt Princess,Tracy definitely stepped up her game in letting the uncontrollable river flow within the sparkling chemistry that was shared between Nico and Bri. Yet again causing major steam from all their shared moments of red-hot, unrestrained, raunchy spiciness in getting down and dirty. Ultimately proving they were definitely made for each other, whether they wanted to accept it or not.
It needs to be said readingCorrupt Princessgave me a major case of deja vu, it reminded me of Leon’s story inThe Retaliation You DeliverfromMaddison Kings Universityseries in some ways. The similarity that they shared was the thing that annoyed me the most. And that was seeing all the backlash Nico endured from his friends and family, on top of their choosing to side with Bri. Something that happened with Leon too, so reading it definitely had me mad and angry. Especially since it was as if everyone seemed to forget they all did bad things to their partners too. But unlike in Nico’s case what happened to him and Bri at the end ofCorrupt Knightwasn’t intentional. Whereas some of the stuff that the other guys did with their partners was intentional. This book also made me hate Calli a lot of the time, her high and mighty act didn’t suit her since she had no right to be or act that way towards Nico.
The ending, well no surprise there that Tracy left us on another cliffhanger. Keeping us in suspense with waiting to see where and how Nico and Bri’s story will come to a conclusion in their trilogy series with the finale that isCorrupt Union.

Scoring Chanceby Andi Burns is the first book in her newest Sports Romance seriesBainbridge Hockey.Consisting of what will be interconnected SScoring Chanceby Andi Burns is the first book in her newest Sports Romance seriesBainbridge Hockey.Consisting of what will be interconnected Standalones set in the Hockey world. The first book is a Reverse Age-Gap that follows Melanie ‘Mel’ Regina Cohen and Will Franconetti through the telling of their dual perspective.
Mel and Will’s story surprised me in many ways from what Andi delivered. The main being my overall enjoyment, despite it being a Reverse Age-Gap which happens to be a least favourite trope of mine to read.
Following along in their story led to a not so easy journey filled with highs and lows and ups and downs, which was to be expected considering not only were they complete opposites. But also with Mel’s past interfering in her present life in the form of her ex, causing drama to build and unfold resulting in the growth of suspenseful moments. Which eventually led to some explosions from the aftermath. Ultimately keeping you holding on tight with reading onwards to see it all play out.
When it came to the relationship Mel and Will shared, it was entertaining to say the least since Andi had you LOL’ing here and there throughout. Especially when it came to the witty banter they shared, particularly on Will’s part. Given his innocence and naivety, which you couldn’t help but love about him. Their relationship was truly a special one with ongoing growing chemistry that was genuine from the very beginning. Even despite how their relationship began in being fake. Slowly yet surely they brought the fire and sparks as time went on. Turning into so much more than they could've expected.
All in all,Scoring Chancewas not only such a sweet, cute yet entertaining read. Whilst bringing forth a genuine and realistic view point that came from a particular part of the storyline. It ended up being a great start to the newest series from Andi too. A job well done to Andi Burns, can’t wait to read more fromBainbridge Hockeyseries to see how the other characters stories will play out. Especially with the sneak peeks we were given from the inclusion of secondary characters.

Corrupt Knightmaybe the thirteenth book inKnight’s Ridge Empireseries by Tracy Lorraine. However it is the first book in theCorrupt Trilogyseries that focuses on Nico Cirillo and Brianna ‘Bri/Siren’ Andrews story.
From the many peeks and teasers showcasing Nico and Bri’s ongoing relation throughout the series. It had you wondering just what exactly their story would entail, considering so far it had been a bumpy ride. One thing's for sure, that bumpy ride never ended, Tracy had you continuing on the rocky terrain that was the official start to Nico and Bri's path inCorrupt Knightwith what she delivered.
Nico definitely gave all the other guys a run for their money, at least when it came to being a Dominate, A-Hole Alpha in his relation with Bri and how he handled and treated her. It’s what had him looking like the biggest villain to date IMO, all of which was clearly presented in his behaviour, reeling you in as the story went on.
With the emotional outpour on top of the major angst, the narrative definitely hit quite a high with all the feelings seeping out. And considering this was only the first book from the trilogy, it was somewhat surprising to say the least. Yet it was understandable given all that Nico was dealing with. Even when seeing his treatment towards Bri, you couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. Regardless of how bad he got with his behaviour and attitude.
The development of Nico and Bri’s relationship, as well as all that was going on in the background created a good start to their journey. Ultimately giving you a peek into what to expect and all that is yet to come, since it is only part one out of three.
While the cliffhanger was not brutal, it still left you wide eyed with intrigue in wanting to know what will happen next for Nico and Bri inCorrupt Princess. And where their story will go from there.

Unseenis a Dark Contemporary Prequel Novella to Indie Black and B. Livingston’s newest seriesJoker’s Wildduet.
From the major seepage of angst pouring right off the pages, on top of some Smoking Red Hot, Kinky and Raunchy steamy moments. All whilst creating an intense build up of suspense that just never seemed to stop growing. Indie and B. had you falling down the rabbit hole to Zoey’s story in this Prequel.
Despite being a short and somewhat fast read, the plot managed to fit in everything needed to keep you holding on. Especially when it came to the anticipation of who, what, where and why when it came to Zoey and her journey. With running away from her abusive husband, who is trying to hunt her down. Bumping into her high school sweetheart and meeting three gorgeous and sexy brothers who have her questioning her choices. From the beginning until the very end,Unseena short action packed, thrilling drama that had you on the edge of you seat will having you begging for more by the very end. Wishing it would just continue on instead of leaving you hanging.
That cliffhanger completely reeled me in wholly with how easily and quickly it grabbed ahold of me. Never to let go. “We always have a good time together, plus our chemistry is off the charts.”
Broken Boys Crave Chaosis the fourth book inMomentsser
“We always have a good time together, plus our chemistry is off the charts.”
Broken Boys Crave Chaosis the fourth book inMomentsseries by J.B. Heller. Having made appearances throughout the series, it’s now Kass’s time to shine. Through dual perspective the story follows Kassidy ‘Kass’ Victor Haynes and Ariel Hunter in this Friends to Lovers trope.
The adventure that J.B. Heller led you on in Kass and Ariel’s story was full of so much from the emotional drama, thrilling action and suspenseful moments of what was around the corner kept you reading on. But it wasn't surprising given the storyline that came about between Kass and Ariel, who were on complete ends of the spectrum personality and career wise. However it didn't stop them from sharing explosive chemistry, given the sparks that flew when they were together. Proving opposites do attract. Overall it’s what resulted in an entertaining narrative, whilst still being moving from the emotions that were exhibited throughout. Safe to say Kass’s story ended up being not what it had me expecting it to be, but that’s what made it enjoyable. The not knowing, given his love interest Ariel.
While we already got to see little bits to Kass throughout the series, it was a long time coming with finally getting his story. J.B. Heller allowed us to delve a little more deeper into his characteristics withinBroken Boys Crave Chaos.Ultimately peeling back his layers and giving an in-depth look into his thoughts, feelings and exactly what he was dealing with. Not only from the aftermath of the drama that was the situation between himself, Scout and Mase. But also his family history, that seemed to weigh heavily on his mind. As well as the biggest problem of all, his feelings for Ariel since she friend zoned him. Something he had a hard time dealing with the more time he spent with getting to know her in the process.
Despite Ariel being a badass, strong, independent woman, which wasn’t surprising given how she was raised and the career she pursued. It was clear there was more to her, something J.B. Heller showcased as the story progressed with the display of an emotional and vulnerable side to Ariel. Something that is made all too clear when Kass enters her life. Seeing Ariel break down was definitely sad to see, considering she always seemed to put up a tough exterior. But with her walls coming down courtesy of her feelings for Kass, it helped to get a deeper feel for her character. Finally seeing her unravel and pull back the layers that she hid, not wanting to show anyone. Ultimately allowing us to get a better feel for her as a character.
My only issue was the story felt a little short IMO, given how rushed it closer towards the end. Had the narrative been a little more longer, the story could’ve been expanded on. At least when it came to getting to know Kass and Ariel a little more, as well as allowing their relationship to be further developed with building on it more IMO.
In the end J.B. Heller still managed to come through with another good read that was Kass and Ariel’s storyBroken Boys Crave Chaos. She has me looking forward to reading the stories of Ariel’s sisters next.

Cease Firecaught my attention from finding out there was a particular trope within the book, one of which I am a sucker for. Making me kn3.85/4 ⭐️
Cease Firecaught my attention from finding out there was a particular trope within the book, one of which I am a sucker for. Making me know it was going to be a MUST READ for me, despite never having read any of the previous books fromBlackbridge Securityseries by Marie James.
While the narrative had the main elements to give the story substance; angst, drama, romantic suspense, mystery and being emotionally charged given the emotional turmoil. Overall providing for a good storyline that flowed through swimmingly, developing along as the narrative progressed forward. It kept me reading on, wanting to see what would take place between Kit and Jules. How their journey would fare, given the rocky road they ultimately ended up travelling. Once things for sure, it was a bumpy AF road, especially from the complications thrown in. While that made for a pretty serious and super emotional trek. The pain and heartache that was endured all through making for one deeply intense plot. However despite that, Marie still showcased times here and there of lightheartedness with the entertaining moments that brought laughter. Mostly when Kit was at the office with his coworkers/friends and the parrot.
Despite the forbidden element when it came to Kit and Jules being together. It didn’t stop the chemistry they shared from being established. The quote (below) from the book stated perfectly of what the two were like together when in each other’s presence.
“They were fire together, absolute passion, burning hot. Their chemistry being undeniably off the charts.”
Any time they were together it went from 1-100 in the blink of an eye. Never being able to fight the feelings of their desire, constantly getting it on whenever they were in each other's presence. Unable to keep their hands to themselves, no matter how hard they tried to fight it. They were irresistible to each other bringing one another to a high with either getting down and dirty or being passionate with the amorous lust they couldn’t contain.
While the story on a whole was great to read, unfortunately it didn’t stop me from having issues. One of which came in the form of Jules. My hatred for her was unreal! While it was sort of understandable why she did what she did, it didn’t make me hate her any less. Wanting and needing to slap and beat the heck out of her! She had to be the MOST self-centred, manipulative, selfish, deceptive, horrible lying b*tch of a person to ever exist. Always putting her own selfish needs before others, even at the expense of others pain. Making sure it was her way or the highway, no other third option about it. It should be noted, while Jules may have managed to redeem herself the tiniest bit in my eyes by the end. That still didn’t stop me from still disliking her a majority of the time, even at the end she never fully won me over. Her inappropriate behaviour and actions were just absolutely too much for me to like her. Especially since her character never really truly grew up, since she got off scot-free given the HEA she had. Despite being undeserving of it, as she didn’t really learn from her mistakes. Instead bypassing them because others allowed it, since it was from the hands of others that she actually came forward. In all honesty she deserved to be all ALONE by the end!
My other issue was Kit’s friends and family for what they did and said when it came to the situation. Plus the way they were with Kit, when they had no right to be made me MAD AF!
However despite all that said, withCease Firebeing my first read by new to me author Marie James. It was still a good read, since Marie managed to win me over as a reader by the end. Safe to say despite my issues, Kit saved it for me!

Rich’s summer before college was suppose to be a chilled, relaxing getaway at his parents summer beach house with his best frienBurn by Tracy Lorraine
Rich’s summer before college was suppose to be a chilled, relaxing getaway at his parents summer beach house with his best friend Justin and his cousin Nathan before starting college. However when Rich’s older sister Sadie and her best friend Amber end up crashing there too, it leads to a summer he won’t forget.
Rich and Amber’s story was sweet, cute and funny, with a fair amount of steam thrown in. At the same time there was still some drama and angsty moments given the circumstances surrounding their situation. You could tell from the get go Rich and Amber were meant to be endgame, considering the constant sparks that were going off whenever they were in each other’s presence. Leading to some witty banter that only enhanced their chemistry, resulting to some Fiery, Red-Hot steamy moments between the two. Since once they gave in, they couldn't keep their hands to themselves, especially in Rich's case.
Though I wish it had been longer, Tracy Lorraine still did a great job with the novella that isBurn. It was truly a Summer Lovin’ story....more
Risky Little Affairis the third book in theLake State Universityseries by Rachael Brownell. Through dual POVs, it tells the story of the youngRisky Little Affairis the third book in theLake State Universityseries by Rachael Brownell. Through dual POVs, it tells the story of the youngest Graham brother Micah Graham and Alexis ‘Lex’ Peterson in this Friends with Benefits, College Romance.
Being on a scholarship has led to Lex to live a somewhat sheltered life, always focusing on her studies and work. Not allowing herself to have any form of distractions to take away from that in the process. Having vow to live the bachelor lifestyle, Micah is only in the business of one night stands and nothing more. However when one night together between Micah and Lex has them feeling more than they expected. Their rules change, implementing a secret relationship that will give each other what they need from the other. But what will happen when feelings get involved? Will they both be able to handle the changes it could bring to their relationship?
Micah and Lex's narrative took you on a journey that while may have been filled with drama given the ups and downs they go through, mystery from the secrets that Lex seems to be hiding which lead to the build up of suspense considering her secretive behaviour. Most importantly the narrative was based on being a journey of growth for the two, through some differences as well as similarities given the situations and events they face and endure throughout. Something they are able to overcome, whether it be by themselves or even together from having the realisation of learning to lean on others for support.
Unlike the previous book, it was surprising to see and know thatRisky Little Affairwasn’t a Slow Burn. But that was made obvious with the way Micah and Lex jumped in fast, head first with their one night stand early on. Something that ends up turning into so much more than even were expecting, leading to a Friends with Benefits relationship. The relationship Micah and Lex establish is the main force behind the journey they travel, one that is filled with an array of emotions. Especially given the feelings they had when in each other’s presence, and/or even when they were apart from one another for too long. Only to result in them coming together and giving into their sexual hunger and desire for each other, by bringing some heat. It was through this that led to seeing their relationship establish on a firmer ground with the blossoming of it turning into so much more than either of them could’ve expected.
The only thing I wasn’t keen on was that despite Micah establishing (through words) his relationship status in regards to when it comes to being with woman. Claiming he would never be like his brothers and become tied down. That's all it was, since it is never really shown or focused on, considering in the blink of an eye all that changes. Something that didn’t sit right with me, given how fast he changed his tune. It could’ve been played out a little more, before he officially jumped in the deep end. Just because it felt too rushed IMO, making that storyline of his void because there is never anything really to it after the first couple of chapters.
With that all said and done, I still enjoyedRisky Little Affairand can’t wait to read the next book Rachael Brownell will be writing in theLake State Universityseries.

Nothing Feels Betteris the third book inBetter Loveseries by Brit Benson. Whilst being interconnected, it is still considered a Standalone andNothing Feels Betteris the third book inBetter Loveseries by Brit Benson. Whilst being interconnected, it is still considered a Standalone and can be read as one. This Single Parent, Friends to Lovers Romance tells the story of Jesse Hernandez and Jocelyn Calligaris.
Whilst the journey of Jocelyn and Jesse was highly entertaining given the many bouts of laughter, considering the light, fun and sweet moments that took place. Which wasn’t surprising given Jesse’s personality, on top of his behaviour around Jocelyn’s kids. It sure did lead to Brit tugging on your heart strings, but then again how could you not. Especially with how great of a character Jesse truly was, not only was he a doctor in training, he knew how to knit, loved to help others particularly when offering to baby sit Jocelyn’s kids. And most of all he knew how to bring the heat, given the attraction between himself and Jocelyn with his dirty words, eventually resulting in some crazy Hot, Fiery Steam!
Brit definitely wrote a wonderful story withNothing Feels Better. The overall pace of the narrative had a smooth ongoing endless flow carrying you alongside the navigation of Jocelyn and Jesse’s story. There was a lot to take in that Brit made sure to never allow you one minute of reprise, which IMO was a good thing. It proved how good of a book it was, keeping you reading on in this real page turner.
Jocelyn and Jesse had you riding a rollercoaster ride with the journey their storyline took you on. It was full of many components which added up to give you a jam-packed narrative. One that lead to drops, twists and turns, keeping you gripped on. The drama revolving around Jocelyn’s personal life with her ex. Mystery in regards to Jesse’s personal past of which is alluded to from the bread crumbs scattered. And suspense when it came to following along their thrilling relationship. Of which faced considerable amounts of ups and downs, on the rocky terrain they trek through to get to their HEA.
Brit had me going crazy whilst reading the story, especially during all the times Jesse and Jocelyn had me frustrated with them. Though a majority of the time it was always Jocelyn who had me wanting to scream, yank my head, simultaneously smack her to bring some sense to her head. Particularly in her moments of stupidity. Safe to sayNothing Feels Betterwill hit you deep from the angst and the crazy amount of frustration it causes you.
Once again Brit Benson delivered another great story in theBetter Loveseries. Jesse and Jocelyn’s storyNothing Feels Bettercame through with delivering a heartfelt narrative that touched upon sensitive subject matters, showcasing an authentic genuineness with handling real life scenarios. Look forward to seeing what Brit Benson writes next, because it will definitely be added onto my TBR list for sure.

Kiss to Belongwas truly an emotionally charged, sweet and heartfelt Best Friends to Lovers story. With all the emotions and feelings Anna B. Doe uKiss to Belongwas truly an emotionally charged, sweet and heartfelt Best Friends to Lovers story. With all the emotions and feelings Anna B. Doe unleashed within Alyssa ‘Aly’ Martinez and Maddox Anderson’s story, it was like she broke a dam with all the feels that came gushing out from the get go. Constantly pouring out and off of every single page. Leading to your heartstrings being constantly yanked at every so often.
The Slow Burn made for a deeply intense and difficult journey that Aly and Maddox were set upon. Not only as individuals, given what was going on in their personal lives. But also when they finally came together. It was one filled with trials and tribulations in the form of hurdles and obstacles that they were put through. Ultimately testing them to their very limits. Especially when it came to the rocky moments they endured within the drama that was brought forth from family members. Leading to some suspenseful moments, waiting to see what the outcome of the ramifications would be. Given the words that were said with the decisions that ended up being made.
At the same time the journey of theirs that went from Friends to Lovers was deeply moving to see. The way it seemed to blossom effortless, after they confronted each other about their feelings for one another. It's what made for a sweet and romantic path. Although there were some times of hesitancy, given that it was going to be no easy feat since their friendship was partly at risk. But with their belief in one another so strong, they knew it was worth the risk. Considering they were meant to be endgame, since they were each other’s soulmates. The proof being in everything they endured together, having never separated or parted way throughout all their years of growing up together.
Honestly the friendship of Aly and Maddox was just so adorable. Always having each other’s backs and putting the other first, even if it meant sacrificing their own happiness. Especially in Maddox’s case, given everything he did for Aly. Even if it meant putting aside his personal feelings, to ensure Aly and the baby had the support they needed. It may be obvious but needs to be said regardless, Maddox was truly the most amazing, incredible and caring guy EVER!
So this may have just been me, but Aly did irk me at one point. How she so easily dismissed Maddox’s role in her life when a situation occurred. As if he wasn’t important, despite having been there for Aly from the start. Even if it wasn’t intentional, the way she was so caught up in her own world made her seem a little ungrateful and selfish IMO. Just because at that certain moment, she didn’t seem to think about anyone else but herself. Which had me not liking her then, even though some will say she couldn't be faulted for that giving everything she was going through. But it just happened to be the case for me. #SorryNotSorry However it should be noted, she did manage to redeem herself in my eyes by the end.
Once again Anna B. Doe came through in delivering another great read fromBlairwood Universityseries, with this cute, sweet, adorable and deeply emotional Friends to Lovers story that wasKiss to Belong. To see Maddox get his HEA that he truly deserved was just the icing on the cake.
