Newly debut author Alina Sullivan brings to us her debut releaseMidnight Sin,a modern day fairytale retelling ofCinderellain the form of a novella. In this Age-Gap, Holiday Romance, we follow the story of Catherina ‘Rina/Sinderella’ Simone Sampson and Damien ‘D’ Volkov through their dual perspectives.
After reading the blurb,Midnight Sinhad me thinking to know what to expect, somewhat at least. However upon reading, author Alina pleasantly surprised me from that not completely being the case. This insta-love story between Rina and Damien may have been a fun, sweet, sexy and steamy short read, however it wasn’t without its emotional side too given what you learn and see through the dual perspective that takes you on quite a ride. Ultimately having you deep up in the feels, especially when it came to the moving moments showcased through Rina’sPOVs.
One thing that definitely made this story enjoyable and stand out was not only that it was a retelling of the fairytaleCinderella, but that Alina made it different from the modern day twist she put on this classic, one of which came with setting it in this day and age with the relatability of the times nowadays. Resulting in its unique-ness plot IMO.
Whilst the storyline was different and unique to say the least, which is what made it stand out to me. Unfortunately despite thatMidnight Sinwasn’t without its complaints for me. For instance, at times the story felt somewhat choppy and disjointed, breaking down and losing lack of fluidity between the scenes. Especially considering how the story seemed to jump at times, leaving you feeling confused and lost as if something was amiss IMO. Plus there was the case of some errors throughout, some in the form of double repetition that also had me confused by it. AlthoughMidnight Sinwas a novella, IMO had the story been extended a little more it would’ve allowed for not only more character development, since it seemed to lack in that department with barely even scratched the surface when it came to Rina and Damien. But also for the storyline to develop a little further and deeper, helping to fill in the missing holes some which seemed to have happened off page.
DespiteMidnight Sinbeing Alina Sullivan’s debut release, she still managed to do a good job. Especially with the unique concept that she delivered to bring Rina and Damien’s story to life.

Three Ways to Mend My Broken Heartis Trilina Pucci’s newest release from herDestination Loveseries. In this MFM, Holiday Rom-Com, through multiple POVs we follow the adventures of Millicent ‘Millie/Mills’ Dwyer and Nathan ‘Nate’ DeLuca and TJ ‘Teej’ Knox all of whom we first met inKnot So Lucky, the story of Millie's best friend Elle and Nate and TJ's friend/sports teammate Crew.
The narrative that formed Millie, Nate and TJ’s story made for a fairly quick and easy read, especially when you took into consideration how fast paced the book had the storyline moving along.
With a never ending entertaining read delivered in not only being light, fun and very lively, all the whilst bringing many bouts of laughter, given all the comedic moments. Was it any surprise it made for an adventurous ride? Whether it was following Millie, Nate and TJ cause mischievousness with all the shenanigans they got up to in getting revenge on Millie’s ex. Or seeing the witty banter shared between all three of them that had them going back and forth, resulting in rapidly growing sexual tension that eventually led to sparks flying from the shared chemistry. Making it no wonder when it all came to a close, fireworks were shooting high, wide and that too brightly, equating to some VERY SPICY and SUPER HOT, Sizzling, Sexiness that was torrid from the Fiery Passion in the steamy scenes between Millie and Nate and TJ. Something author Trilina definitely upped the ante on withinThree Ways to Mend My Broken Heart.
No doubtThree Ways to Mend My Broken Heartwas a good read, but it needs to be said that it had me wishing for more to the plot considering it seemed surface level with the focus heavily being spotlighted on the steam instead. And whilst that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, it just resulted in losing focus on the plot which became lost from being pushed behind because of said steam IMO.
Overall,Three Ways to Mend My Broken Heartby Trilina Pucci still ended up being an entertaining, fun, light read despite my issues. Having still managed to enjoy it.

Maui Dream Girl by Lex Martin
5 ⭐️
Maui Dream Girlby Lex Martin is a short novella that follows Cameron ‘Cam’ Fletcher, who has appeared inVarsity Dadseries.
In this short read, we get to see Cam have the opportunity to meet up with his online gamer friend Ninja Girl, who he has been playing video games with for a year. And what the results of that outcome is when they finally do meet in person.
The execution of the storyline was done greatly, allowing for a plot that gave you enough to include a beginning, middle and end with the inclusion of sufficient detail, so that it didn’t feel lacking in anyway. Even with being a novella.
There is just something about Lex and her writing that always pulls me in and leaves me wanting more by the end. And just like all of the other books from Lex Martin’sVarsity Dadseries, it was no surprise thatMaui Dream Girltoo ended up being a 5 star read for me. Even with being a fast read, it was thoroughly entertaining, resulting in an enjoyable read that was fun, sweet, cute and adorable yet steamy too.
Just One Fantasy by Carly Phillips
4 ⭐️
Just One Fantasyby Carly Phillips was a short novella that had us visiting Aurora and Nick Dare awhile after their full length storyJust One Dare.
With more than a few years having past, we see Aurora and Nick living busy lives, juggling their work and family consisting of two daughters. Wanting a much needed break, Carly had us following Aurora and Nick as they go on a mini vacation.
Being a quick read, Carly hit the mark in not only giving insight into their lives given the update sinceJust One Dareended. But also allowing us to see how they were doing during this time. The novella ended up making for a fun short that was cute, sweet, romantic and steamy of course.
Second Chance Contract by M. Robinson
4 ⭐️
Second Chance Contractby M. Robinson had us revisiting Autumn and Julian Locke many years after their full length novel with the same title was set, in this one chapter short novella.
In this short we see what happens when overprotective DaddyJulian has to teach Autumn a lesson for going behind his back and lying to him for a certain reason that we see unfold and play out before our eyes within the chapter.
Honestly for writing such a fast read, Monica managed to bring the entertainment factor with being funny and having you LOL’ing. All the whilst adding Fire from the steaminess that Monica managed to include, ultimately making for an enjoyable read. Especially since it’s always fun to revisit old characters and see what they’re up to.
Mele Kaliki Make Out With Me by Trilina Pucci
4 ⭐️
Trilina Pucci had us revisiting the characters fromTangled in Tinsel,by following Sam and her guys Alec, Reed, Cole and Jace whilst on vacation in Hawaii in this short that wasMele Kaliki Make Out With Me.
This novella went from 1-100 in the snap of fingers. Starting off fun with being cute and sweet in seeing Sam and her guys share flirty banter. The next thing you know Trilina flipped the script and dove right in, bringing the debauchery party with the characters raising the temperatures in what turned out to be a super Spicy, majorly Fiery and Sizzling AF, Lustful and Raunchy Sexy time they shared with getting down and dirty.
Despite it being a very short read, Trilina Pucci made it enjoyable. Especially since it had me revisiting these loveable characters of Sam and her guys Alec, Reed, Cole and Jace again.

Three Times The Troubleby authors Bellamy Roswell and Cece Perez first appeared inTwisted ChristmasAnthology as a short novella by the name ofThree Times The Troubleby authors Bellamy Roswell and Cece Perez first appeared inTwisted ChristmasAnthology as a short novella by the name ofSugar Daddy Santa Claus. Now the co-authors are back, but this time giving Chloe O’Connell, Zane Anderson and Avery Taylor a full story withThree Times The Trouble, told through their multiple POVs.
This Forbidden, Taboo, MFF, Age-Gap Romance took the short storySugar Daddy Santa Clausand expanded on it. So let it be known, if the beginning of the story seems familiar that’s because it’s one and the same from the anthology. Only now it had been expanded, allowing us to see and know the aftermath to Chloe, Zane and Avery spending the holidays together and giving into their desires.
Despite being a full story, the narrative did seem to move at a fairly quick pace, yet it wasn't too fast in feeling like everything was being rushed through. Since this time we were getting a full novel, it allowed the storyline to showcase more of a development not only in Chloe, Zane and Avery’s journey that they ventured upon. But also within the establishing of their characters shown by the progress they each made in growing, given where they each started from.
When it comes toThree Times The Trouble,Bellamy and Cece delivered a lively ride, considering all that took place and went down for Chloe, Zane and Avery. Resulting in the book being a page turner, since it was able to keep me reading on. There were many elements in the book that kept you moving onwards, such as being entertaining, courtesy of the witty banter that seemed to be at play, especially between Zane and Avery. With the two always going back and forth, it was no surprise they had temperatures rising, from the major sparks they were giving off in their shared chemistry. Ultimately leading to some very SPICY and FIERY moments. And made even more steamier with Chloe brought into the mix. Honestly with all the times those three got together, they had fire alarms going off from getting down and dirty. And yet it worked well, since their shared relationship has chemistry flowing so effortless, even with the mix of all three of their personalities. Something Bellamy and Cece did explore at times through the unravelling of their feelings and emotions, and thoughts too, which was constantly expressed throughout for us to read about.
There were still times where the storyline led to deep moments in the ways of being an emotional charged. Seeing as Chloe, Zane and Avery path’s was not an easy ride, considering the drama that came into play leading to major conflict. Paving the way for deeper emotions to be presented and explored. Especially through the individual character exploration within their POVs chapters, seeing as the story was told through multiple perspectives.
WhilstThree Times The Troublewas a good read, it wasn’t without its faults for me unfortunately. The first being of wanting to see more moments between Chloe and Zane. It just felt like there wasn’t enough to begin, especially when it came to exploring their relationship together. And when you compared it to Zane and Avery, it felt insufficient IMO. Plus the moments that were showcased felt lacking in detail and depth with being a little too rushed, particularly towards the end. This brings me to the other issue and that was there wasn’t enough chapters told through Chloe and ZanePOV, had there been then maybe their characters could’ve been opened up more. Which is why IMOBellamy and Cece should’ve expanded on the book a little more by adding some more chapters. Mostly because the story could’ve allowed it, since the length of the book wasn’t even too long to begin with.
All in all,Three Times The Trouble still ended up being a good read. Even despite my issues. And with that epilogue Bellamy Roswell and Cece Perez included, it gave the overall story the perfect real and true HEA ending it needed to make it feel like it is the end of the end.

Snowballedby K.G. Reuss is a novella told through multi POVs. It follows the story of Violet ‘Vi/Violence’ Danvers and what happens when she gets Snowballedby K.G. Reuss is a novella told through multi POVs. It follows the story of Violet ‘Vi/Violence’ Danvers and what happens when she gets snowed in with her tormenters; StepbrotherNoah Grace and his best friends Riley Parker and Zack Connor.
Holy Hell this probably has to be the most steamiest read from K.G. Reuss to date. Kid you not, the amount of spicy steam just seemed to pour off each page creating high levels of fire, it wouldn’t take a minute for fire alarms to go off.
Even with the amount of steam that was included, it never took away from there being a steady and clear storyline toSnowballed. With a narrative told through multiple perspectives, it allowed you to get to know Violet, Noah, Riley and Zack on a further level as the story progressed forward. Through the unwinding of their layers, courtesy of their inner monologue you were able to get a real feel of each of the characters. Particularly when it came to the exploration of their thoughts, views, opinions and feelings and emotions. Especially in the blossoming of the relationship Noah, Riley and Zack explored with Violet.
Sugar, spice and everything naughty and nice was whatSnowballedended up being. It was the perfect short read, giving you entertainment from the moments of laughter, happiness and all the cute and sweetness from the romance. Whilst getting down and dirty from the steaminess. Highly recommend checking out, especially if you’re a fan of K.G. Reuss. Definitely worth the read!

Yours for Christmasby Lilian Monroe is from herRoyally Unexpectedseries, told through the dual perspective of Ada Charlotte Belcourt and HeathYours for Christmasby Lilian Monroe is from herRoyally Unexpectedseries, told through the dual perspective of Ada Charlotte Belcourt and Heath Blythe.
Even with the story being a short novella, Lilian managed to deliver a narrative that had a clear beginning, middle and end. The start allowed us to get to know Ada and Heath individually with their own perspective chapters. From learning about their personal lives, to their family and friends, which somewhat brought in their emotions. Simultaneously seeing everything through their eyes when it came to the outside world paved way for their views, thoughts and opinions. Amongst their feelings in a more thorough way, particularly upon their first meeting of each other.
The middle built on the momentum of their budding relationship, going down and deeper into the exploration of emotions towards one another. Whilst bringing in the drama too, since it connected back to them with their relationship playing a key part in it, leading to tensions rising. Alongside the suspenseful build arising too.
The end came in the form of the aftermath of the climax that paved way for Ada and Heath’s awaited HEA. Pulling you deeper into the feels, especially with the epilogue that was included. Resulting in an enjoyable read overall.
My only complaint was the overall length to the narrative. Honestly the story had me wishing Lilian expanded on it by making it a full length novel. Had she done this, then it could’ve had the second half to play out in a steady flow, allowing the characters to grow more from their further development alongside the narrative. As opposed to being rushed considering how quickly everything happened and then came together, lacking in further detailed exploration. Unlike the first half of the story, which not only had a better steady pace, as it allowed for the plot and characters to be set up thoroughly. All due to the time spent with including some in-depth detail.
All in all,Yours for Christmasby Lilian Monroe was a feel good, cute and romantic holiday read that is worth checking out if you’re looking for a quick and short read with a guarantee HEA....more
